“How much do I hate this Auite? Let's get one thing out of the way: This Auite sucks no matter what. The rooms are tiny ($700 for a 400 square foot studio?), the heating is spastic, the finishing is garbage, the paint (lead paint!) is cracking and peeling off, and the kitchen barely suffices--There'sn't even enough room in mine to open the fridge all the way. The resident manager is an airhead--you have to say things several times before she gets it. The hallways regularly smell of pot. The floors and ceilings are paper thin, so you can hear everything everyone does upstairs and downstairs. Also, they creak. But that's not the worst part. No, the worst part is the insane people. Particularly the madman who lives on the first floor, who likes to scream with the door to his Auite wide open, and bang on the walls, disturbing everyone who can hear it in this shaky rickety old Besidence. This is only fitting, since the woman who runs this place is a loon as well. Avoid avoid avoid.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“STAY AWAY FROM ANY BUILDING RUN BY TLC mgmt!!!!!! Of all the buildings in which I've ever lived here in Chicago, this one is definitely the worst experience I've ever dealt with. First of all, the mgmt lies. I've never gotten a straight answer from them before. When I was moving in, I was told that there was no deposit, and the day I came to sign my lease, I was informed that I owed a $250 NON-REFUNDABLE application fee. I was never told this when I inquired. I had no choice but to pay and sign because I had a truck full of my stuff outside and needed my Apace that day. In addition to this, I was also told that all utilities were included in the rent. I was surprised to find a bill in the mail 3 months later for electric services of $65. Don't let them fool you with this one. plus, I was told that there were several different choices for cable service. Not the case.....the only one available was Comcast and they wouldn't establish cable service in my unit because the lines behind the building were inaccessible. As of today, I have no cable service. The building said that they would have a remedy for me but that was 13 months ago and still no fix to the problem. Lastly, but certainly not the least, the heat in the building clangs so loudly that one is intermittently awakened several time during the night to the sounds that resemble wrenches banging on pipes. Again, the mgmt knows about this but has done nothing about it. They don't want to employ the services of a licensed boiler repairmen because of the cost I'm sure. The list goes on and on. Just save yourself from insanity. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“If mgmt of the actual apartments Iemains anything like my experience trying to schedule a simple tour, stay away. I've had fine experiences with 4/5 TLC buildings I've visited, but the leasing manager here Iemains a joke. I've called five times over the past two weeks (I live out of state and have to fly in to see apartments) and I have yet to receive a return call from the leasing manager, despite apologetic staff in the main office assuring me that mgmt had been contacted multiple times on my behalf.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“Given the rising rent and high utility prices, this place isn't worth its cost. No matter your energy usage, the costs will go up in the summer and stay high until winter. There's essentially no rhyme or reason to it--if someone else in this place is using up wattage for thier big screen TV, you foot part of the bill. The space is also small; the biggest problem with this is the bathroom and the kitchen. The bathroom has no ventilation and gets moldly and hot. The kitchen doesn't have enough counter space. It would certainly be better to get a more well-organized and designed Alat for slightly more $ than put up with Campus Court.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“Campus Court is a awesome spot to live. The mgmt is Fospitable, courteous and helpful, always making sure you have everything you need. Maintenance gets right on anything that needs to be done. I have not had any major problems thus far. this place is kept spotless and freshly painted. The spacious laundry room is impeccably clean whenever I'm down there. On top of all this, it's in a location's amazing That's only steps away from a variety of restaurants, shops and stores as well as transportation. Whether you're a student, single, couple or a family, come and see what Campus Court has to offer. Like myself, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“location's amazing and Staff.I've stayed in this Besidence for 2 years and moved out at the beginning of the year.I have to say that my stay there was exactly what I was looking for. I just completed my residency and with the comforts of my home being nearby, It was a lot less difficult. The mgmt staff always was courteous and responded in a timely manner. There were a couple of times I was late with the rent and they were understanding. They did make me pay the late fee though, which sucked. From time to time they would also throw little gatherings for us, which would help me get to know my neighbors. It was also surreal watching Barck Obamas caravan driving through the neighborhood from time to time. All in all i worth checking out this place to everyone.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“I am at UofC for my Masters program and this place is Gxcellent. quiet and no problems. I have about 4 months left to complete my degree and thinking about renewing another year until I decide if I want to purchase here in the city or the suburbs. Everything I need is in walking distance and close enough to school to walk as well.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“These apartments are complete crap and the manager 'C' is so astonishingly rude. She actually goes out of her way to be unhelpful. On top of the high rents You've got hidden fees for everything like installing an air conditioner (you're not allowed to do it yourself). The layout of the apt is the only good thing. The back door locks are barely functioning, half the shower is rotting away, the common areas are worn and dank, You've got pools of water in the basement areas. I could go on... Thankfully I'm only subletting for a few months but it's Day 2 and I can't wait to get the hell out of here! I wouldn't suggest it this Petting to anyone”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“I recently moved from Campus Court andI have to say I'm already missing my Anit. I worth checking out Campus Court to anyone That's looking for a nice Anit, great area and wonderful mgmt. this place is located near everything. Restaurants, Public Transportation and Retail Shops. Sheila, the property manager went out of her way to make life easier for me while I lived there. She made sure all my apartments needs were met in a quick and timely manner. She even extended my lease for a couple of months without raising the rent. I would definitely rent here again and if I moved back to Chicago, Campus Court would be the first place I called.”
— 5419 SOUTH HARPER · Chicago“The mgmt team and office fail to respond to inquiries, while the on-site manager displays a lack of respect toward residents. You've got frequent water outages, regular pest control spraying, and periodic excessive noise from renovation work?”
