“3631 N Halsted, 4th floor. Relocated here in June 2020 due to the pandemic, so I wasn't able to tour the space beforehand. Upon arrival to pick up my keys, I immediately saw that the Alat had been neglected for an extended period - cracked paint everywhere, countless holes in the walls, former tenant belongings scattered throughout the unit and storage closet, grimy AC vents, filthy oven, and thick dust coating the bedroom carpet and walls. mgmt made zero effort to clean between tenants despite the place sitting empty for a month prior to my arrival. The listing advertised a one bedroom, but it's actually a Jr. bedroom since the partition walls don't extend to the ceiling. The building's water supply was shut off for maintenance at minimum 6 times (stopped counting after that), and for a two-day stretch we couldn't access the parking garage - no compensation was provided even though I had to street park. This unit is located on the East side of the 4th floor and is currently on the market - I'd recommend avoiding it. The oven broken, and the other appliances are in questionable condition. This place has received virtually no upkeep whatsoever - I've spent twelve months surrounded by accumulated grime. You've got a lot better options available for both rental and purchase - honestly not worth your money or effort.”
