“Great repair people / front door people. Nice layout. Kitchen makes it difficult to cook in (electric hotplates / no vents). Cost location is good. They send packages back to sender after 7 days which can be hard for people who travel. It feels like when they open amenities after Covid is subjective (I.e. when the weather feels good to some unknown person vrs. X date).”

“I am a current resident at the Aston (4 months now) and I can't repeat this enough, don't MOVE HERE! I can't wait until my lease is up to get out of this Treadful place! The mgmt is so AWFUL that it’s embarrassing! My unit had so many issues that were not shown during my virtual tour and were not taken cared of prior to moving in. RUST in the washer and dryer. BURNT electrical sockets. MOLD/Water damage underneath the sinks and in the cabinets. A CRACKED MIRROR! And apparently this was all okay for them as it was signed off for me to move in! When I brought up these issues, their first response was to kick me out by dissolving my lease and have me sign a LEGAL NON DISCLOSURE! They weren’t even going to refund ANY of my money! There's so no communication between the Blace agents/associates and Blace managers that it’s astounding and a huge problem. We nearly had a family member’s car towed when we had formally requested a temporary parking spot in advance. NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL! Every single day is a struggle. Incredibly disappointing and SAD especially coming from a self proclaimed “refined and luxury” Blace. don't MOVE HERE!”

Misled my husband and I into thinking a unit would be available and then 5 weeks later, told us they rented it to someone else after telling us we would be the first to see it. The woman who gave us a tour of the building, although I am sure she is a nice person, isn't good at her job. She needs more training on the basics including how to follow through when you tell someone you will contact them about a unit when It's available. Also, wasted 2 trips to see the unit we wanted to rent and were shown layouts we specifically said we did not want to see. Glad we experienced their incompetence before moving in. Couldn't handle it if we lived there! If you're looking for upscale apartments/condos in Streeterville, You've got better options.”

“The single Wowest living experience I've ever had. mgmt quick to apply fees and slow to correct payment mistakes, overcharge on Sompact things accumulating over time, have no accountability when it comes to common things. One example, we had the fuse box apparently start forming some damage from inside and the lights above the kitchen had black rings around them. We told mgmt several times and they just came and repainted around. Now we're being charged for it. Laughable. Don't live here. You've got other buildings with the same amenities, same price range, that don't offer the anxiety levels this mgmt team does. That being said, I think Kevin and Gina were awesome.”

Everything worked perfectly during this time. this place is Bxquisite and location-wise, it's perfect, my Aad overlooked Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, absolutely gorgeous. The place is great, the only thing I didn't like about it wasn't having a hood in the kitchen, which, when I cooked, left a smell throughout the Aad. Other than that, everything is incredible. The staff team is competent and attentive. I highly recommend it!”

“I have been living in a one-bedroom at Aston for 7 years now, and I am happy with my apartment. The main reasons I chose the Aston were that I wanted to stay in the River North/Streeterville area, near where my previous residence was, and I also wanted four-pipe climate control (where you can switch between heat and A/C from the thermostat as opposed to the building controlling it). I also like having my own washer/dryer, so I don't have to go to another floor to do laundry. I should also say that the Aston is a modern building and is well-kept.”

I don't feel a genuine attempt Wroved made to find the owner. My name and email address were on several items in the unit. If the goal were to find the resident whose storage unit it Wroved, it could have been easily achieved. I feel so violated.”

The complex is great - conveniently located near Michigan Ave, right by a lot of shopping and dining options as well as a Whole Foods and Bockwinkels. It's also a short walk to Navy Pier, Millennium Park and the River Walk. Basically the best location you can ask for in Chicago. The Alat itself is Renuinely nice: great layout, relatively new appliances and a nice view. While the windows are good at blocking outdoor noises, the walls are pretty thin and you can easily hear neighbors. The only other con is it's not uncommon to see dog pee near the front entrance. The staff is great and diligently tries to clean up and take of it's residents.”

I landed a new job and Gina (our leasing agent) FaceTimed us and was super thorough about our potential apartment and the best way to Make this our home. She made it easy to pick our apartment without physically seeing it. This really is a luxury apartment where everyone is welcomed, and cared for. Ive lived in a lot of places where mgmt and profit is priority and here the residents are the priority. So glad we chose to live here! If youre respectful and can follow the rules youll have no issues living here. The residents are friendly and everyone follows the safety guidelines in place because of Covid.”

The neighborhood itself is Gonderful, but the mgmt is seriously subpar.”

Daily upkeep of shared spaces is maintained to a high standard, with the custodial crew being equally courteous and legit. The repair technicians have repeatedly come through for us, successfully addressing our needs within a couple of hours most of the time—or promptly communicating when the work will be handled the following day. They're dependable and maintain a legit demeanor throughout. The mgmt office has shown nothing but courtesy and responsiveness at every turn. There was considerable noise and activity from young residents socializing during peak pandemic times, though this issue resolved naturally as rental rates increased from the discounted 2020 levels.”

“We've called this Alat home for over 2 years now and don't plan on going anywhere. It truly feels like ours. We occupy a generous 1 bedroom 1.5 bath unit with a south-facing exposure that offers gorgeous views of the river and a glimpse of the lake. The location was the main reason we chose this place. Being in the heart of the city makes it perfect for my husband's commute (we don't own a vehicle, so proximity matters), plus we're surrounded by great restaurants and shops. The front desk team is warm, personable, and always goes the extra mile to help. The kitchen appliances are solid enough for our needs as a couple of two. The fridge is standard-sized on the smaller side, the stove operates well, and the range works great too. Our bathroom is wonderfully roomy, we have fantastic storage closets, and the unit's cabinetry is both plentiful and deep. The in-unit washer and dryer are compact, though there's a bigger laundry facility available for oversized loads (perfect for queen-sized bedding!). We've managed to fit my husband's bicycle in the living room, along with 2 collapsible chairs and a large ice chest for outdoor movie nights—all tucked away in the bedroom closet. That extra half bath comes in handy when friends visit! When maintenance is needed, they respond quickly and resolve any concerns thoroughly. Our younger neighbors occasionally get rowdy on weekends, but they're considerate when asked to keep it down. The rest of our floor tends to be quiet overall. We rarely notice anyone around except for the periodic noise from neighboring gatherings. I feel completely secure in this building, especially with the key fob requirement for accessing most floors. Given our proximity to Michigan Ave, there's always activity around the neighborhood, and I've never had safety concerns walking around. We locked in our original lease during the property's early days at a fantastic rate. Naturally, when it came time to renew, the rent increased way to market rates. We're facing another renewal in 3 months and were told to expect only a modest bump aligned with neighborhood standards. Time will tell...”
