“My parents have lived in this apartment for 10 years and they liked pretty much, but with the new management everything changed. For starters, the security guard that is there most of the time, acts more like the manager's body guard. Nobody, not even the residents are allowed to go into the office without an appointment, even for something simple like dropping off the check for rent. I would sometimes bring my mother's money order for rent, and I am not allowed into the office but am instructed by both the security and manager to place it in box by the door. No contact alt all, no receipt, no proof that the money has been received, nothing. Then after that, my mother would typically receive a notification that she didn't pay the rent. I would go the office to straighten it out, and the manager's (Rita) reply is always "check with me later". So I have to go back to the office or call. She doesn't have a direct phone number, but I have to call the assistant manager, Paula, and ask her to transfer me. If the manager is unavailable and I ask for the manager to call me back, the response is, "she is not able to call back", so I again have to either call or go to the office. I don't like the fact that the management has their own agenda, they are barricading themselves and are not being available to their residents. I miss the previous manager, I think her name was Julia, who's door was always open for her residents, was a great listener, and supportive. That is what managers should be like.”
