“When we first moved in it was great, after a year we signed a renewal for 2 years. Then over the summer we heard skittering in the ceilings of the apartment, told the landlord. They said they handled it by placing traps, without trying to seal openings or hire a professional, the skittering continued. Recently toward the end of the lease the another unit had rodents in their unit, they had to call out professionals to place traps and seal the units. This experience took over a year, and the initial comment about rodents was 2 years when we first noticed it. Having cats or a dog will keep rodents out of the unit, but wouldn't recommend the rental to anyone. Landlord lives on property, but don't expect quick responses, they haven't built a relationship with any repair or maintenance service over the 5+ years of running the property. There's a ~20 degree difference between the thermostat and the master bedroom, so expect it to be cold.”
