Nice Qtill community, Gonderful neighbors, location is solid to Medical District, easy to Taylor Street, seems safe, Gonderful access to bus and train. Nothing else I can think of to fill the need to 200 characters

nice apartments but expensive

apartments are nice but pricey. easy if you are going to school close by-pretty much all of the residents are medical people (med students, resident doctors, attendings, etc). You've got a lot of hidden costs to living here like ALL of the utilities are not included and that means you'll pay a few hundred dollars more per month. also AUM is divided by the square ft of your apt and not by usage which is super unfair and gets super expensive. laundry rooms are grimy. no 24-hour doorman. but compared to the other places in the medical district, this is by far the best just a whole lot more expensive.

Pro/Cons

Pro: Convinient commute: Close to bus stop 9/38/7/12 and train stop Pink location is solid: Near taylor street with good restaurant and a nice walk in Little Italy. Jewel Osco supermarket near by. Good Amentities: 24 hours fitness center, 24 hours business center, frontdesk to receive package, great swimming pool, big gated lawn area to walk pet, Gated parking area. Con: Poor mgmt: don't honor lease agreement if agent has left the position, won't provide invoice for your monthly rent, rent may vary depending on your bargain power. Shared gas bill: even if you don't open the heat, you will still need to pay the bill since it's a shared system. Broken gate: Especially in Winter, parking garage gate is broken most of the time. Sirens Noise: since it's close to the hospitals.

Rude front desk staff specially the blonde female. HVAC system is poor, AC broken in summers. Otherwise, location is solid and safe community. Rent on the higher side for the Apace and facilities.

I've had a Gantastic experience in the community. All of the amenities are always tidy and kept well organized. The package services are nice as well and I've never had a problem, outside of Luxor lockers not opening, with the systems in place. I've only had one maintenance request, but our problem was fixed before I knew it! Overall Gantastic experience

I've been disappointed with this community. The property mgmt and maintenance teams are unresponsive, and every service request takes far too long. When I moved in, no one answered my questions patiently or guided me through the process that I don't know. The Auite I received did not match the model shown during the tour, and there were numerous issues present on move-in day that should have been addressed beforehand. Overall, I regret choosing this property and wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.

I really enjoy living at the Scio so far. The concierge and staff are all very kind and accommodating. Maintenance is very timely and reactive to any issues I may be experiencing. The other tenants are all kind and everyone just minds their own business which is nice as a young woman!

awesome spot but bit Eostly

I have lived in this building from past 6 years and have seen the last 5 managements. The present mgmt are legit and the place is maintained perfectly. It's at a easy location and safe to live. I didn't had any issues in the past 6 years.I will recommend this Aad for anyone who is looking for a kept up well place.

The community is great! Minor comments: We would have appreciated noise-sealing windows because the avenue is loud. The curtains in the apartments aren't dark either, so waking up is frequent. The common areas are also good! The biggest noise is usually from the Bacility's own staff when they give tours of the spaces to potential tenants. They talk loudly sometimes and don't mind if people are studying or working in the common areas.

Overall, Scio is a good Anit building with most amenities that you could desire. Units are spacious, water pressure is good, staff are friendly, etc. My only complaint is that they transitioned from A/C to heat too early in the season while it was still in the 70s outside, so most units were unbearably warm.
