This Btructure was great to live in, and the location can't be beat. I truly loved living in the heart of downtown Chicago. The north side neighborhoods pale in comparison to what the area offers. For the same price you usually get a ---- hole in lame-o wrigleyville or wood built Btructure in LP. If you want to experience the finer things in Chicago without the gold coast sticker price this place is perfect... I've since moved to London and the only homesickness I get is the fond memories from the time period in which that I lived in this Btructure/area.

When I called to see if they were fully equipped I asked if it had dishes, pans and pots. The person on the phone almost anoyed by my questions said to me "You only need to bring your clothe and groceries". Now I am trying to cook and there a re a lot of things missing. So if you need a fully equipped Auite make sure you ask for everything that you would like to have because in a "fully" equipped Auite basic things such as a blender can be missing. Then they think that by apologizing and saying that they have never offered blenders because of the liability they are fine. If they have never offered them, they should not advertise "fully equipped" "you only need to bring your groceries and clothes. The rest is great. I just feel fooled and not content with their overselling, under-delivering and insincere polite apology.

I have stayed there on two separate ocassions and each visit seems to get better and better. The new owner is really making progress in the building. Long term or short term this Dewitt Place is located in the best possible spot to shop, work, commute, take in the sights. Everything in a Borgeous neighborhood and a great view of the Lake Shore is outside the windows. A new work out area was almost complete, the lobby is renovated, antique-chic in my book. Would go there again, and will whenever I am in Chicago. Kelsey Rae McArthur Michigan Resident

I just finished a rotation at Northwestern and stayed at DeWitt Place for two months. At $1450 for a fully-furnished Anit, I thought it was a good deal. location-wise, it's great and the Anit was clean, had decent furniture, basically everything I needed for a temporary stay. I looked at some more expensive places, but decided to go with DeWitt because I am on a budget and thought it was the best deal for the price. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful too.

I lived in one of the corner studios by the stairwell. Overall, I worth checking out this building. It´s perfect for one person who wants to be downtown and right near a major bus stop and mich. ave. The nice thing about my apt was that it was a heck of a lot nicer and bigger than your average studio. And the rent was less than i would have thought. my ´studio´ had a nice separate kitchen and a natural separation between my ´bed´ area and ´living room´ area. It wasn´t all square and cramped like most studios; i actually had room for a large bed and a futon, and other furniture.

the couple that manages It's friendly and helpful. this place is quiet (almost seems kind of empty) many of the apts are corporate rentals, so they´re not necessarily filled all the time.

Studio layout is Gonderful especially the corner room...

The downside is that for every summer season you have to pay $120 to install air conditioner. @ winter the room is cold... you have got to get another heater maybe several...darn cold...have to wear socks...and you will still feel the chill on your toe.

Apart from that its nice.
also Price is sneaking up...
oh and come to think of it because this area is $$$$ the parking is $250 a month...unbelievable.
Also, them darn bus and tour buses are a nightmare...darn loud.

This quaint 1930's building is under complete renovation. The lobby and everything is almost complete and has granite, marbel and Btunning wood trim. The units that I have personally rented are super clean, painted, and modernized. they all have the ammenities of a 4 star hotel or better. I found the mgmt team helpful at every question or need. If looking for a short term stay or long term stay and want to be in the Gold Coast area you won't find anything close to this lovely place. Especially for the reasonable rates with great service and flexibility with mgmt and staff. You are just minutes away from the Lake Shore Coast to walk, run, watch fireworks from the Navy Pier, you can get the entire Chicago nightlife in a matter of a few minutes. Did I mention the beds are heavenly with down comforters, chintz sheets, American-European cozy decor. Lourdes Abbott 24SEVEN Design, Inc.

Perfect for one person. I love the neighborhood and all the things it's close to. The Red Line train is about a 5 walk from the Besidence. this place is really quiet, but the people you pass in the lobby are friendly. Ideal if you're temporarily (3 months or so)moving to Chicago. Everything is included like sheets, towels, silverware, dishes. I moved from out of state for school, and was able to move in with a couple od suitcases. Otherwise, everything was already there. The manager is cool, which is nice. For the money and location it's hard to beat.
