NEW, NICE, READ.... overall a really nice place to stay and feels safe to live in as a single woman (some other nearby apartments had complaints of being harassed so im happy this isn't the case here)... pros and cons below: complaints: - COST (costs way too much) - boring area... not too much to do in walking distance. pretty easy to hop on car and go somewhere (next to algonquin, 5-10 min drive to train station) but definitely not super walkable. - when i first moved in, there was a moldy bowl of ramen left in my apartment and a disgusting mess in the microwave. the paint on the floor was everywhere. i ended up cleaning it myself and contacted the front lobby who directed me to email the manager (owner?) Will, who kindly offered to get a legit cleaning staff involved. since i had already cleaned it i declined, but it definitely made me feel pretty disgusted for the first few months staying here - place is NEW so There's constantly new maintenance, sometimes entrances are shut down to paint floors, doors are being worked on, e.t.c. obviously in 2-3 years when these are resolved the apartment will be a lot better. - the parking lot... this is a DEATH trap. i have seen people constantly barreling down the parking garage at 20 mph, and slamming on breaks to avoid hitting cars going around corners. the residents don't use the mirrors that are seemingly randomly placed throughout the parking garage, signs are constantly falling off, and I genuinely feel a sense of danger everytime im leaving or entering my apartment. at one point, someone smashed into the front gate and completely dented it, leaving the apartments just open for anyone to come. maintenance has since resolved this issue but the parking garage still feels pretty terrifying. when i first moved in, i was promised a parking spot close to my door away from the edge, but sadly they gave me one in a different area than i was told (still close, but now facing the edge). i havent had an issues with this, but figured id share because i felt a bit misled... - rent doesn't include utilities, wifi, e.t.c. so your actual rent will like be $200-300 more expensive than advertised on their website. definitely a pricey place to stay... almost enough to make me move to a different apartment. - mail room can be a bit of a mess because the delivery drivers don't understand how to use an amazon locker and simply throw them on the floor. the staff does their best to pick it up though and you sometimes get text notifications about it. - water way too cold for showers and takes minutes to get to lukewarm... i am going to put in a maintenance request since i suspect its just a pressure problem that will be easily resolved. PROS: - staff really nice, people really nice and respectful, lots of community events to go to. i personally have not been to any but they seem nice if you're into that sort of thing. - actual units really nice. thermostat that WORKS (google nest), quick heating/cooling - responsive maintenance, seem to resolve most issues quickly. - nice gym, clean - IN UNIT WASHER/DRYER (really nice, i personally hate laundry rooms for a multitude of reasons. nice to throw laundry in with no stress while doing background tasks like cleaning) - really nice area to reserve if you want to throw parties. - for some people, the decoration is a big plus. It's really nice and fancy looking. for me, it makes me feel a bit out of place as a software engineer who just happens to make enough money to afford this place, and the colors can be a bit boring. but other people i know who live here really like it. - appliances all seem to work fairly well. overall, i enjoy living here, i am looking for cheaper options when my lease is up but i find it hard to give up how nice It's. the staff were helpful during a medical emergency i had and im thankful for them. (especially the security guard at night... she really helped calm me down!)

These people are thieves!!! We got money stolen from our Alat unit. Apparently, Will the manager states the cameras go back only few days and the key fob only the last 4 days I told him I put money in my son’s piggy bank the first week of November. It was around the time the email went out regarding power outage which was November 5th and today (Nov 29th) I happened to check my son’s piggy bank.. he was missing almost all the cash we gave him. This is ------- sad
