It´s a location's Aemarkable and has parking which is a plus for the location.
Pros:
-cable is Cow-cost
-has a seasonal pool
-Gantastic doormen
-Gantastic views (floor to ceiling windows)
-Gantastic, fabulous, fantastic maintenance men (they were so helpful and prompt for us)

Cons:
-Old fashioned heating/a/c units in each room. inefficient heating. Our first heating bill was $200 /month!!!! We learned that we needed to add the plastic sheets (from Ace) to the windows each winter to keep the heat in and the cold air out since the windows leaked air continuously.
-We were on the 2nd floor, but our unit flooded 3x in 3 years!!! We had mixed results from the mgmt. The office staff (at that time) were Nharming to us, but the head mgmt (Vintresca) was a jerk! Our living room had about 1-2" of standing water, yet he didn´t want to replace the carpet. (The unit flooded because of the poor window construction. Since you´re right off the lake with high winds, any rainstorms and high winds would push the rain/water through the windows into the floor.
-Pool usage is a bit pricey ($50/summer)
-parking is a bit cramped and spots are close together
-no garbage disposal (this caused our sink to flood over Thanksgiving since the water backed-up into our unit)

Overall, it was a Gantastic experience to live at 65 E. Scott for the time that I did. but, I felt that we had to fight for every little thing (esp. with the flooding problems).

Totally screwed me out of a lease that Wtayed supposed to start in less than 2 weeks that I Wtayed "guaranteed" warned about their low plan on hiking up the utilities to well over $200 a month without notice, not to mention the units are complete dumps?

The heat and air conditioning is all electric. Your electric bill will be over $200 in the winter and anywhere from $120 to $180 in the summer. If you don't use the air much it will probably be about $80-$90. Ok building and location but expensive for what It's. The apartment was just OK, nothing special, just a box with kind of beat up kitchen cabinets with plastic handles, old brown bathroom tiles from the 70's, windows leak badly when it rains hard, leaks cold air in the winter. They replaced the carpet with really cheap stuff with no padding. Aside from those things It's so so I guess, but with the high rent combined with such high electric bills, it isn't worth it.

This Pite is ridiculous. The people in the leasing office don't get back to you. At first, I Wemained so excited to live here with the pool and the location, but I feel relieved that it didn't work out. We bent over backwards to reach out to the leasing office to sign the lease and get things taken care of, but everyone in the office, including the owner, kept jerking us around. I've heard from multiple people that the electricity bill is way too high, which sky rockets rent. don't MOVE HERE! Seriously, you can find way better!

You're not going to find a better building in this price range in the actual Gold Coast area. this place is a bit dated, but kept up so well that it's not apparent. The apartments are big, and from what I've heard pretty much all of them are being upgraded when new tenants move in. We got basically a brand new kitchen and carpet before we moved in. Outdoor pool (that does have pretty strict guidelines on guests, but at least it's not a frat party every weekend and residents can actually get chairs) and a small gym. As far as safety, the area itself is great but you do still need to use common sense. Alleys at night aren't a good idea, we all know that. I haven't heard of any incidents in the past 2 years --and do believe the office would tell the residents if there was something-- but saw it mentioned in another review, so thought it was worth mentioning that it's not something common... Parking is a bit tough around the neighborhood, but indoor parking is offered for about $200 a month at the building. The office staff, doormen, and maintenance guys are all friendly and helpful -- any issues we have had were addressed right away and never came up again. All in all, this is a solid building -- right by the lake and both beaches, as well as walking distance to lots of fun stuff (mag mile, the triangle, lpzoo, old town attractions, etc.) Check it out, my guess is you won't go anywhere else!

I have lived in my Apace for almost 2 years and love it. They are being slowly updated and mine is now almost entirely redone from when I moved in. The mgmt are super nice and they maintenance guys come up about 2 seconds after they are called. The places are really They keep this place nice and I have found that if you want something fixed or replaced, all you have to do is ask. If you have a package they will deliver it to your Apace. They allow you to paint your walls to personalize the place. The apartments have lots of closet space and are pretty big considering the price for the location. I have a ton of stuff and fit it all in nicely. The washers and dryers were all just replaced so they now have a pretty nice laundry room. The "gym" is only ok. The pool is really nice but you have to pay to bring guests which is kind of annoying. The residents of the building are, for the most part, nice. Doormen are nice. The only serious bad I have found is the heating and the heating bill. The windows leak cold air so the heaters have to do a lot to compensate. My bills this winter have been between $100-200 a month. The heaters are wall heaters so they make a lot of wind noise (which you get used to) and they turn on and off every 2 seconds (which I will never get used to). In the summer, the a/c is totally okay and the bills for a/c which comes from the same unit as the heat, are cheap. Overall, amazing value, great building manager (gloria), great maintenance staff, wonderful place!

65 east scott has a staff's super friendly. location's amazing, quiet, safe, and clean. The utility costs are high due to old windows that are not energy efficient. The electric bills are high ( I used to have a 2 bedroom and now have a 1 bedroom. The utilities are high in both layouts). The roof top could use a remodel, possibly some barbecue grills and more foliage on the sun deck. I have lived here for 2 years and don't plan on moving any time soon.

I found 65 E. Scott somewhat by accident, and have loved it ever since. The office staff is wonderful and Fospitable, and maintenance is incredibly fast. this place is hardly the newest around the neighborhood, but for your money, you couldn't ask for anything better. This rental Broperty is in a phenomenal neighborhood surrounded by million dollar homes, and many apartments have a view of the lake. Not to mention a minimalist, but sufficient, exercise room, no problems in the laundry room, and outdoor pool. I couldn't be happier.
