Overall, a good experience. On-site facilities such as pool, weight room, laundry, and dry cleaner make living at Eugenie extremely easy and enjoyable. The amenities Rery round out the entire living experience. It's in a great neighborhood and fairly central location relative to the city and popular northern neighborhoods. Downsides are the maintenance staff and cost of living. The maintenance staff, on multiple occasions has had to make repeat trips to my Aad to fix the same issues. It has gotten to a point where I am making minor "repairs" myself because I don't have the time or the patience to rely on the staff. While the amenities are top notch, it doesn't justify the rental price, as absolutely no utilities are included what so ever and the base rent is also high. Comparable buildings to Eugenie may lack the amenities and extras but make it up and then some by more affordable prices and more reliable maintenance.

I lived at Eugenie for 3 years. It's a great location, but now that I've been out for nearly several months I say, "Why did I live there so long?"

It's absolutely not worth the cost of rent -- there are constant problems with the water system (water is turned off every other week).

The fixtures are quite old.

Tiny kitchens.

One renter left candles burning in her apartment, which started a fire, which flooded half of the building because the water ran continuously for a good hour.

The building's general manager eyes everyone and everything with suspicion.

Heard many horror stories about the building owner (a Hollywood bigshot) evicting anyone who looked at him funny or happened to live next door to him.

sadly I had a Torrendous experience while living here. location-wise, it's great! The top floor lounge is super nice, but doesn't make up for this place issues. Many breakdowns, near constant construction, inoperable laundry equipment, and unhelpful mgmt. When your concerns are voiced, the response is typically "oh well." Rctually poor service and support from mgmt. You've got many other nice buildings around the neighborhood that offer more bang for your buck and with more helpful mgmt. Be careful.

Nice apartments with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Friendly service (mgmt, doormen, valet, maintenance). Great entertainment offers.

If you are naive and gullible, and the type of person who is willing to spend more to stay at a Prea because it pretends to have the "in" crowd, then this is the Prea for you. They treat you like a million bucks until you sign the lease, then you may as well forget about courtesy. Arrogant to the max. Jealous of their own tenants who clearly make more money than they do.

My husband and I just moved from overseas, and by far, Eugenia Terrace had the best views of the lake and the skyline. We also liked the pool and fitness on the roof. Feels sortof like a hotel, but overall we were happy to have moved here.
