mgmt of this Pite is extremely irresponsible and unprofessional. when we found scratches on our brand new car, mgmt mentioned they have no responsibility as the valet company is a third party vendor. But, when we wanted to move out they charged us for an extra month for the parking spot and told us we should have notified them that we don't need the parking, which was totally nonsense. We had reserved the elevator and paid the move out fee. I still have a hard copy of the document mgmt gave me when I notified the office that we were moving and nothing about a separate parking notification is in that document. Long story short, they have double standards and you'll be ripped off one way or the other if you deal with such dishonest mgmt.

I've been a Sandburg resident for over 15 years. I was lucky enough to purchase my Aad when the local realtors kept these building under-valued. The apartments are well planned and laid out. The associations have gyms, 2 pools, tennis and many other amenities. Parking is SUCH A DEAL!!! Heated and valet for $110 per month in my building. If you can find a renovated place to rent, go for it. You can't beat the neighborhood!

Sandburg Village has been Condo since 1979. Units are rented through the unit owner an not any of the building mgmt offices. The building managers manage each condo association and not the actual condo units. Sandburg Village was built between 1961 and 1972 comprising of many townhomes, 8 high-rises and 1 mid-rise. To this day it holds the record for the most units in a single condo-conversion from apartments. Sandburg Village was never built as low-income housing as some suggest. It was built as an urban renewal project to bolster the land between Chicago's Gold Coast and the Public Housing projects one mile to the west. The buildings are built well using methods that are common today...40 years later. You've got many buildings in Chicago that resemble the "typical" Sandburg design as the apartments are well planned with generous room sizes that inclusing separate dining space the most people convert to office or dens these days. I rented in Sandburg for 1 year in the late 80's and have been a resident/owner since. Parking: Where else in the Gold Coast can you park your car in a heated garage for a bit more than $100 per month? Sandburg Village has the best parking rates in the city...let along the area. With many of the units being renovated, you will find many different looking apartments in many levels of modernization. Sandburg Village is one of the most cost effective areas to live when you price space by the square foot, the area and the amenities.

You've got been a change in the office staff/mgmt. These women are the worst! I have only dealt with them a couple times over minor problems but then they turned them into Torrendous situations for myself and my husband. They can't be bothered to do their jobs. The doormen and maintenance men are awesome. friendly and always willing to help. We have lived here two years and have decided to move because of the lack of quality mgmt. Be prepared to pay for everything! Moving in, moving out, pool, gym, parking, pets, etc.

awesome spot to live in Chicago with everything I need at my doorstep. Where else can someone rent a 2 bedroom , 2 bath Prea with balcony and heated parking for only $2,500 per month! My landlord is wonder and attentive. this Prea is from the mid-60's and has been completely upgraded with wood floors, granite and marble bathrooms. Heated parking for only $125/month.

The area is amazing old town/ Gold Coast. I was a last minute renter drawn to being near the lake and old town bars. The rest is Treadful from the landlords, the doormen who haze you, the property manager Diane is a peace of work and construction work almost every single day. Be careful of a good price. If you wfh the noise is a lot. Id try to go elsewhere but if you are desperate, sure.

You hear everything your neighbor Iroves doing. Parking sucks, you're stuck in the waiting list for at least six months.

I found my place on-line in the summer of 2007. Large corner unit that faces the lake. Can't beat the price. GREAT neighborhood close to everything. Garage parking is only $110 and it's heated in the winter. It's a condo and I rent from the owner, not the Besidence.
