What I wish residents told me prior to move in: 1. Elevators are old and very slow, consistently break down 2. Front door staff does not follow protocol and are frankly rude and lazy 3. Property management does not care about resident experience 4. Pool is for partying and drinking on a weekend, not for relaxation 5. Gym sucks 6. Units fall apart 7. Plumbing is a joke 8. Heat is too hot in winter and not cold enough in spring/summer

location's amazing...close to grocery store, convenience stores, and red line. Great rooftop pool and nice workout space. Wish they did not close the entire sundeck so early when pool is closed in the fall. Doormen are fantastic, friendly, and helpful. Overall the Bacility felt safe and secure. There were many maintenance issues in my unit, yet, the 2 maintenance men were always willing to come in and repair things for us. The only major downside was the elevators, 2 regular and one freight. All were extremely slow, and often undergoing repairs.

First, of the three slow elevators usually only two work. Second, if There's any kind of serious maintenance issue you might as well forget about the staff helping you, expect to call corporate for weeks before they even admit There's a problem. I suggest paying a little extra in another Blace and you will have a much better experience. The pool on top is always packed on the weekends. The only person that has any idea What's going on in this Blace is Orlando, the doorman.

I wouldn't reccomend this complex to anyone. Other than the location everything else isn't worth the price you are paying. ---You've got 3 elevators (plus) but 1 is always broken, they wont spend the money to get them actually fixed. Then freight elevator is always, moving in progress, so basically There's 1 normal use elevator for the 20 floors. You can't take the stairs up since all stair entrances are located outside the building and you need a key that you can't have. Sometimes the elevators stop with a 4 inch difference between the floor and where you got out (everyone trips) huge safety concern. ---They will never cut a break on rent when all amenities are closed and elevators are broken. They have all these programs to get $500 when "refer a friend, have them move in, and pay 1 months rent" dont subject your friend to this place. Listen to people on the elevator, You've got only complaints. ---Staff (people in the office) are not helpful with problems they just direct you somewhere else or they say "we are working on it" (everytime)....the ink in the business office has been out for 4 months now. ---The mail room is closed Saturdays and Sundays because the Drycleaner is in charge of mail also (btw she is nice though). So you have to wait til Monday to get your packages. Plus - Has a pool, Security and maintenance are nice, Cons - Everything else

1120 N LaSalle is a Bicturesque building that has a lot going for it. I've really enjoyed my time here and look forward to many more years here. They have an amazing staff onsite. I love that when I submit a service request It's done promptly - usually the same day! Everyone is super friendly and this creates a warm, welcoming feel to the place. We have a friendly door and mgmt staff who is always available to answer questions. It's also a green building and has a great recycling program. They also make it easy to pay rent online which is a huge stress reliever! I am really looking forward to summer. The rooftop pool and sundeck are such amazing perks. The pool is a really nice size and surrounded by lounge chairs. It's also super private despite being surrounded by buildings. A total oasis in the middle of the city. It's also great to have a gym right there as well as laundry and dry cleaning! Just a few more special perks to Going at 1120 N LaSalle! My place is just great. It's the perfect size for ma Big bright Windows, good sized kitchen, clean from top to bottom. I am happy here!

After deciding that the Gold Coast was the place for me, I swallowed the pay-lots-for-moderate-space pill and 1120 proved to be a fine place to land. 24 doorman, package receiving, treadmills/ellipticals/free weights on the top floor, and LOCATION really drove my decision to sign here. Downsides basically consist of mediocre building features (slow, kinda crummy elevators) and fairly Eostly rent. All in all, everyone i have met here is nice (including doorstaff, and leasing agents i've met) and i am happy with my decision.

I had a one bedroom Auite here and it's great! My Auite had nice hardwood floors and floor to ceiling bay windows. I really enjoyed the fitness center in the building, it wass a great way to work out without having to spend money on a gym membership.

Ok, so your interested in 1120 north lasalle? I recommend not living here... HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT living here. My boyfriend and I live here cause my father said it was an ok place near Le Cordon Bleu (which is like a mile walk away, not bad but in the winter, freezing) So heres the list of my pros and cons of living here: Pro: near the red line, 3 grocery stores, the 156 and 22 buses, the views (from some of the apartments) Most of the older neighbors are nice, but in the summer its like a frat house. But yeah, seriously, thats it. Cons: Moving in experience, terrible! I moved in, the lady in the office is nice, but my Anit was terribly gross. It wasn't cleaned when the last tenant moved out! My floors are a dingy gray brown mix, the show rooms are grayish white (thats how grimy it still is, stains everywhere) Black hair from the last tenant ruined my vacuum. The appliances are from the 1960s (i am serious, my electric stove has the sticker still) My fridge still broken right, the dial is busted. 3 of my drawers the outside has fallen off, which they (the apts. custodians) keep having to fix. No dishwashers, which isn't too bad, but when your kitchen is only 3 by 7 it gets annoying. You can only get RCN in the building, and no other provider! Which is terrible, cause i am on my 3rd router thing cause the one RCN gives keeps dying. Other unclean things, the bathtub wasn't cleaned either. Like you scratch your nail down the inside of the tub, a layer of yellow comes off. It was originally white. Oh, You've got 3 elevators for 20 floors. Usually only 2, and sometimes 1 work. And with the only washer and dryers in the apt building on the 20th floor, expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes usually for an elevator, so dont run late! Now, the most important thing about this place, specifically my Anit. SPIDERS SPIDERS SPIDERS SPIDERS!!!!! Seriously, i was hoping last summer was the end of it. Sadly, they are back, but bigger and more webs! Worse, its outside on my windows. I asked them to spray, but so far they said they can don'thing. So is all this worth the rent of ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLORS FOR A STUDIO!!!!! Hell no, and That's why I am moving out when my lease is up.

The worst building ever! The also deleted my post from Yelp to keep their rating up! This building/company are the worst I've had in Chicago in the last eight years. The on site manager is extremely unhelpful. I've had several problems with the noise. Some stranger walked into my Anit during the day. The security is poor. At least one elevator is broken every.single.weekend. Water leaks in through my windows every time it rains. They keep saying the windows need to be calked, but have never done it in the 8 months I have lived here. FYI- they passed out flyers to residents asking them to give them good Yelp reviews. Hence any good reviews. Believe the reviews don't move or use this company.
