I have lived here for almost two years and really can't complain too much about anything besides price. You're definitely paying more for location than luxury in this building, but I knew that coming into my lease and haven't left yet. I have never had a problem with mgmt. Had a slight problem with bugs when I first moved in but the landlord heard about that and put a stop to it immediately. I came home and he had the exterminator in my Auite. It's been well over a year now since then and I haven't so much as seen a mosquito or fly in my Auite, let alone anything else! Parking is only available thru the Village of Oak Park, as It's with most apartments in the village. sadly that can really suck during winter, because Oak Park Ave. gets shut down for parking whenever it snows more than 2" and There'sn't a whole lot of nearby parking available without dipping into your yearly allotment of 5. Again, it's only really a problem on a select few days during the winter. Other than that parking is fine. Noise can be a problem but it's about par for the course as far as aprtments go. Not as bad as my college dorms but if somebody is training for MMA upstairs or hosting a birthday party down the hall, you can hear people coming and going. Location is fantastic... just 3 blocks from the Green Line, 5 blocks north of the Blue Line. Walking distance to downtown Oak Park, Library, Post Office, etc. Safety is great. Electronic locks on all doors into the building so you have to have a keycard to even enter the building. Also You've got security cameras at both entrances as well. As I've said, I have been here almost two years and have yet to even see any crime, let alone have it impact my life. If you get a chance to live here, you should definitely look into it. mgmt has been friendly and if I didn't want a bigger Auite I'd be staying here for yet another year.
