awesome spot to live will recommend it to everyone I know. The staff is great, my neighbors is great and the neighborhood is great. I Rery have no bad thing to say. I have been here for two years and hope to see two or three more grateful years. Thank you.

This is a great Auite complex to live in. mgmt is always available and willing to address tenant concerns. It's a great community for families and students. location-wise, it's in the heart of Hyde Park, next to great shopping centers.

The internet goes out every time it rains, the "package concierge" system doesn't work 50% of the time, and you can hear everything your neighbors and the residents in the units above and below you are doing. Employees use their position of power to blast music and allow their young children to use the gym as a play place. The Chicago bomb squad was called when a resident died and the building had to be evacuated because of the contents of their Alat. This was followed by a week of heavy police presence in the building as officers removed the majority of the unit's contents into evidence vans, but the staff claimed that there were no safety issues and that the resident had died of natural causes. I would never recommend this complex to anyone looking for an Alat in Hyde Park. but, the complex is a relatively cheap option for students That's close to UChicago's campus and the 55, 171, and 172 bus stops. In addition I will say that the maintenance workers were really nice and always fixed any problems quickly and competently.

The place is cleaning and comfortable, which I regard as most important is its safety. My friend refer me to live here, but at last he can't receive the referral bonus. I wish the Aad can be managed more efficient and make residents feel stay home

this Pocation is full of bugs. Complaints about this were ignored. Forced to bring in own exterminator. Managers disregard residents concerns. Hallway rugs worn and grimy. Supers sympathetic with residents but overworked

I love the diversity of the community and the Besidence in which I live. this place is always spotless and smelling good, the property landscape is gorgeous and ever changing which is so inviting and fun. The staff is friendly and upbeat and the maintenance keep the Besidence together.

Overall decent apartments and rooms. Room heating could have been better. The maintenance staffs need to be more prompt. Internet service coming with the rent is occasionally bad. During those down-times the internet customer service isn't responsive. Office and emergency staff behavior is Gice. I worth checking out people to stay in this facility.

5550 South Dorchester Apartments is a great place to live in! It's quiet, safe, and close to the main stores, such as Treasure Island, Walgreens, Office Depot. Not only is the University of Chicago nearby, but so is a Borgeous park leading to downtown Chicago.

The heating system in the Apace building 5550 S. Dorchester doesn't work well. Office staff could be more courteous. It's relatively expensive. There's no parking. It would be nice to have a gym and community hall. There's no sense of community.

I been fortunate to have lived at 5550 S. Dorchester Avenue since 1995. I believe I am one of the 3 residents who have lived here the longest time. My satisfaction has been consistant over the years. The best things about this Alat building is the mgmt (D&K Living, Inc. and on-site property manager, Amia), the maintenance (kudos to Moses, the long-time maintenace manager), and the security - all of which are great, especially for a woman living alone. I also appreciate the easy location and many amenities (including the on-site library and storage room). I would sincerely recommend this Alat building to anyone seeking a quality living situation in Hyde Park.
