The management of this building allowed a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER to move into the building who has a history of breaking and entering and multiple felonies. They did not informed the residents that they had allowed this individual to move in making me, along with multiple young women, to feel unsafe in our own homes. I am disgusted by their management and their indifference to protecting the rights of their tenants. I moved out after living there for 2 months where 1)the elevators didn’t work 2) the laundry had not been updated in 20+ years and 3) the lack of air circulation in the kitchen made it impossible to cook without broiling your entire apartment. I do not recommend living here as there are several other great options in the neighborhood without shady management practices.

We lived here for 2 years & for the most part enjoyed it. We lived in a 1 bedroom which was actually quite roomy for Chicago. The location is great/close to lake. The apartment did have a lot of problems when we moved in, but Saeda was AMAZING at getting things fixed. She would text back immediately & come help the same day. Our fridge was leaking and 2 days later we had a new fridge. This is an old building, so if you're expecting nothing to break, you will be disappointed. We would get a centipede every couple months, but we never had roaches or anything chronic personally. Cons: the laundry... it was breaking ALL THE TIME. Elevators break a lot. Also management doesn't take calls and if you tell them something is broken, like the laundry, they just responds with "no it's been repaired" like I'm in the laundry room and can confirm it's not LOL. They wouldn't compensate us for laundry not working consistently for many months. They also increased the rent both years by $100 but the building doesn't get updates unless you ask. Overall, we had a lot of great memories in this apt and if you're looking for a charming apt in Lincoln Park for a decent price and don't mind a few things breaking now and then, this might be perfect for you. :)

Run from this place. I’m not sure if other units are updated, but my unit is outdated. I didn’t even use the kitchen cabinets bc they’re disgusting inside. The shower has a nasty stain as well. Floors are old and need to be updated. Toliet makes sound 24/7. The fridge also makes sound at night (loud, unexpected sounds). When asked to fix the issues with the floors, shower, and kitchen cabinets, the service was horrible and nothing was ever fixed! Lastly, I’ve seen cockroaches in the lobby during the summer SEVERAL times. Good location because it’s Lincoln park, but for the price you pay, you are better off looking else where! I cannot wait for my lease to end soon. Huge waste of money and overall cleanliness of this unit is horrible. Do not move here, I cannot stress this enough!

I moved into a studio is this building a few days ago. I hadn't seen the unit in person before I signed the lease so I was a little worried. Seada, the building engineer/manager, was awesome from the jump. She made sure my unit was clean and like new before I moved in. When there was things that were broken, she got them fixed right away. For example, my toilet wouldn't flush half the time, when she couldn't fix it she got me an entire new toilet and had it installed within a day. She also got me a new faucet, is adding a closet door to an open closet, and got someone to fix my water pressure in a day. I have had nothing but good experiences in this apartment building so far!

Run! This building is absolutely awful I have lived here for almost 2 years and cannot wait for my lease to end. They up the rent every year and make absolutely no changes. The washer and dryers break every week, I've had toilet leaks at 1 point had the upstairs bathroom leaking into mine. I spent 72 hours waiting for my kitchen to have running water and when I would ask for an update they would say I am working on it. The parking garage is always leaking and they just put bandaids on it until it happens again. I have seen cars that had water pouring on it. I have had several packages and my lock box stolen. Beal properties does not care and does not realize why that they can't keep tenants. Beal has promised us upgrades when resigning our lease that they never kept. The only good thing about this building is it's location . The people on this street are so friendly that is the only thing I will miss.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. This complex is riddled with water roaches which the maintenance man (Zayo) is always quick to report "are not cockraches" but what difference does it make when they've infested your apartment and they refuse to make any repairs to caulk the gaps in the walls or fix the leaky sinks? Maintenance took months and months to respond to and fix my items and refused to replace missing refrigerator shelves (was just told, "the last guy took them, what can we do?"). The place was beyond dirty when I moved in even though it had reportedly been cleaned and I ended up hiring someone myself. The laundry room is a mess and machines are constantly broken and eating up quarters. I have nothing good to say about this place except the location, but for the price it's legitimately NOT WORTH IT. I've never had such a poor experience with an apartment or management response to my issues. If you DO NOT LIKE BUGS DO NOT LIVE HERE.

This building is in such a great location and is dog friendly. Which are 2 of the biggest reasons why I chose it. Cons- maintenance half asses the work they do. The apartment was not cleaned at all when I first moved in even though it was vacant for months. The laundry machines are always broken and they never think to use a different company. They are raising the rent but have made zero attempts to upgrade the property. Pro- Pretty spacious, great closet space. Close to the fullerton train, Halsted and Clark Bus. Great night life and close to lake shore bike path and several parks. Great dining. Dog friendly decent price for the area.

Absolutely nothing good to say about this place. Moved in early June. Didnt get my mail key until August... I got 2 parking tickets because my registration was in there and the 'building manager' couldnt find it. The building manager is fine (Zayo) but his wife is not pleasant. She has gotten in countless screaming and cussing fights with tennants in the hallway outside of my door. Their dog barks all hours of the day and of all people the building manager and his family are stacking trash bags in the hallways. Not a surprise I have seen multiple roaches in my apartment and the laundry room. Dont even attempt to reach out to Beal for help. Have not gotten 1 call back on anything I have requested. Been living there for 10 months and will not be renewing under any circumstances

The rent is too high for a very small studio. The building is so old, they don't do maintenance, lots of problems, full of rats and roaches. Other people I know pay this price for a one bedroom, in a newer building, same area, with a beach view and free parking. I wouldn't recommend it. Stay away. Nothing really good about this property other than the location.

I lived in 656 west Wrightwood, not in 660 but deal with manager Gloria from 660 w Wrightwood because she takes care about both building. My opinion this personality very aggressive and not obey the rules of good human relationship. Very impolite and doesn't care about problem of the apartments. We were waiting for half month that they come to fix leak. I will never deal with her again, such persons should stay away from management and especially from people, who wants good service and respect.
