I lived in an unremodeled unit. I assume they are all remodeled now, unless a tenant has been there for some time. I saw the remodeled ones. THey look nice enough. The floors can get loud. THe parking is REALLY Eostly, and people would often park in my space. I got into a few yelling matches over that. Otherwise, location-wise, it's awesome. If you feel that you dont want a car in Chgo, this location would be perfect. I found the office to be helpful.

THIS APT. SUCKS!!! The elevators are the scariest thing I have ever ridden in, and are not working at least once a month. When I called to see what they were doing to accommodate the residents for them both being out I was laughed at by the mgmt. The bedrooms don't have an ac in them and make it almost impossible to sleep in. I have seen several rats out front of the Bacility, and I'm pretty sure that nothing is being done to stop them. Terrible experience and was treated poorly as a resident. DONT MOVE IT!!!

location-wise, it's prime. That's what attracted me the most. this Penue is so old and There'sn´t concrete between floors. So, if you don´t live on the top floor, you may hear the people above you creeking around. Also, There's no "garden area", just a (covered) parking garage so that too can be quite loud. The mgmt is decent. They make a lot of decisions without contacting the residents but their maintenance gets good. All in all, it´s a decent value given the location, but beware if you´re looking for something quiet.

I am moving out after 1 year of living here and would have moved out right after the summer if I wanted to take the time to sublease. The floors are creaky, I can hear every step the person above me takes and can also hear their phone vibrating when it goes off (including the alarm going off at 5am everyday.) The air conditioner is 30 years old and only cools off part of the living room and is in no way connected to the bedroom, so you will have to sleep on the couch if you want comfort on warm days. The water pressure is Treadful unless you want ice cold showers and I get no hot water in the kitchen sink. If you want to live in Lincoln Park, You've got a ton of other places that cost the same price that you will be much happier with.

What the other comments have mentioned (the noise between floors) was certainly a problem, but I still loved living here. location-wise, it's fantastic (2 minutes from the park, not far from the lake, tons of great restaurants and bars close by). The mgmt company was always pleasant and repairs were made quickly. I loved my Aad - large kitchen, hardwood floors. The only reason I moved was to relocate for a job. I thought this Aad was a great value for the price, especially in Lincoln Park.

I wrote a review a few months after I moved in, and thought I would add a few things before I move out. I have been in this Btructure for four years. The minuses: this place is Rery ugly on the outside (I would like to smack the architect who designed this Btructure, because it s just a big brick box). The elevators have issues, and one is always breaking down. The 1br apartments only have A/C units in the livingroom areas and not the bedrooms. but, now that I have been looking at other apartments, I did not realize how lucky I was to live in a Btructure run by such an Aemarkable property mgmt company. The two property managers for this Btructure are always available. Things get fixed immediately. I have called in work orders for my place that get repaired in a day. If the Btructure needs maintenance, like updates to the pluming, or any repair projects etc. It's fixed in a few days. The commons areas of this Btructure are immaculate. In the winter, snow removal happens right away. The heat is included, and my place is always warm in the winter. The trash rooms are emptied several times a week. The outside grounds in front of the Btructure always look Borgeous. The renovated apartments are clean, with working dishwashers and electric stoves. I think the rental rates are a bit high, but they are based on property values in Lincoln Park. Because of that, the rates are fair. Most of all, I trust the landlords. I have had six other apartments in Chicago, and have never had landlords as nice, and as responsible as the mgmt here. Seriously, live here for the fantastic mgmt! Creaky elevators, thin walls and seeing the occasional city rats on the neighborhood sidewalk, are NOT a big deal. Trust me, you won t find better mgmt in the city of Chicago.

I lived in a 1bd / 1bth for two years with a competitve rate of $985 and $995/ month for year 1 and 2 respectively. You are paying for location here as the builing has no amenities what so ever. but, rent was recently raised to $1135/ month and all I know is That's certainly isn't worth that at all! Deming is a quiet residential street, but if you look out over the alley, then be prepared to have the garbage trucks wake you up at 8 am on Saturday (city living I guess). No insulation between the gang above us and although I do enjoy a muffled rendition of Toto's 'Rosana', I could certainly do without the creeking and stopping coming from above. mgmt is decent, but the Bomplex doesn't have a single unit in it worth the new rent price. Thankfully I don't own a car, because it costs an additional $180/ month for a spot not much larger than a compact car. p.s. For a good laugh, visit the fitness room.

I rented a studio for 3 years at $755 annually. The price is somewhat steep, but the unit itself was quite spacious with generous closet and storage areas, so I never felt boxed in. This place works well for graduate students or possibly as a secondary residence for someone employed in Chicago while based somewhere else. There's no doorman on site, though I never had any security concerns. The laundry facilities were solid, and all the appliances were brand new and functioned flawlessly. I didn't experience noise issues from surrounding tenants, though that's Rery just fortunate circumstances. It's always a risk in Lincoln Park to end up living above or beside neighbors fresh out of college who treat the place like a dorm and don't have early morning obligations.

This place has the potential to be a awesome spot to live, but You've got a few things that really mess it up. First of all, the hallways smell TERRIBLE. I get home from work everyday only to be smacked in the face of a unbearable smell That's a mixture of vomit, hot dogs and a nursing home. My last visitors had a coughing attack upon getting off the elevator due to the awful smell. Speaking of the elevators.. they also smell unbelievably bad. The elevator wall is carpet and they have clearly never cleaned it. They are always out of service as well, It's extremely annoying. It didn't smell that bad when I was touring the place or else I would have never even considered living their in a million years. I think they have an emergency Febreeze team that they call upon when they have a prospective renter getting ready to check a unit out. Also, while the walls are pretty thick and I have never had problems hearing my neighbors.. THE FLOORS ARE PAPER THIN. I could hear the person above me tip toe across their Anit, the creaking is so bad that I no longer even set my alarm clock, the person above me wakes up around the same time I do every morning so I rise when their extremely loud creeking begins. but, the apartments are really nice sized and come with a dish washer and full fridge, stove. I really enjoy my unit. I am someone that needs a lot of space and my Anit delivered. location-wise, it's perfect, so much to do around the area. I have a problem with my AC unit once, I called and got a brand new unit within the day. They seemed to be pretty on top of that which was nice. That was the only real issue I ever had. So listen up mgmt, I don't know what you can do about the creeky floors, but please, please, please, for your sake and the residents, do something about the UNBEARABLE odor in the halls. I am getting ready to move out in a couple weeks because I just could not take the smell anymore. Best of luck to anyone moving into this place and I hope that your rent includes free heat, free water and a free gasmask.
