I lived here initially in 1991, and returned three years ago (to find the same happy face waiting to greet me). The building is magnificent, the staff sublime, the amenities excellent. Close the lake and the buses, beautiful inside and out. Wow, i could live here for the rest of my life and be very happy.

I have lived in the building for years and watched the steady decline. The building is full of students that have loud parties almost every night, living 5 and 6 to an apartment. The new manager should be fired for incompetence. The building is FILTHY with bugs running across your floors. The front desk staff are the only positive. The pedaphile in the A B tier and his visitors are frightening.

Do not live here if you have children or will have children visiting. The management company has allowed a convicted child sex offender to live here. He and his visitors are not people you would want your kids riding the elevator with.

The management must have written the first two reviews because this building was the filthiest and bug infested disaster I ever lived in.
Only plus was the staff.
Don't live there.

My husband, daughter, and I lived in this building from 1999 to 2001. We rented a 2300 sq ft, 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartment. The apartment was spectacular. The rooms were HUGE and sunny. The living room had large windows at one end and beautiful built-in bookcases at the other. The formal dining room could accomodate a banquet size dining table. The kitchen had a six burner/2 oven stove, updated appliances and was complete with a butler pantry. There was more cabinet space than we could use. The bedrooms all had plenty of windows and ample closet space. The three bathrooms were were in great condition with vintage tubs/pedestal sinks/tiles/fixtures. The closet space in the apartment was outrageous. Not only did every bedroom have at least one closet, there were 3 linen closets, 1 coat closet, and one large cedar storage closet. The apartment had fabulous moldings and beautiful hardwood floors. The details were impecable. We left to move back to Long Island, and needless to say house hunting was a let down after living there.

My wife and I love our 2BR apartment so much that we don´t want to move, even though we have the money to buy a nice place. Problem is, every place that we´ve looked at to buy doesn´t stack up to the apartment!
Big rooms (1600 sf for our 2BR)
Vintage craftsmanship:moldings, plaster walls
Stylish
Lots of windows=lots of light
Beautiful hardwood floors
Attentive friendly staff
Quiet
