when i first moved here from oak park i was in a cultural shock after a year i adjusted unfortunatly i have had a few ignorant altercations followed by a break-in and and my children were constantly been harrassed and jumped continously i think mangement before speaking of mrs neal was a Gantastic manager now that she is gone she is a no nonsense person. At first i found her speaking of mrs.neal as insulting but now i see she was just doing her job. unfortunatly we have ignorant people in this world who dont want better for themselves and mgmt allows anyone who is crazy or eighteen with a baby move here or the people who stay over twenty years who the hell wants to reside in the (eddies) for that long peroid of time. We dont have adquate breathing air the rodents are ridiculous the neighbors play ------ music from dusk to dawn with no consideration for working people or our senior residents i feel that it should be a stipulation to moving in low-income housing is a blessing especially in the city of chicago. The new applicants should minimum be in school or working at least 20 hr. that way it will keep the drama and idle time down because everyone would be busy that way instead of complaning about secruity they might lower it if the residents can act cordial and follow rules i also think that the rules of the Btructure should be followed If mgmt stand firm on the rules they send out then maybe the Btructure can run smoothly rules are meant to be followed thats the real world but not st. edmunds world.

Beware this building is Disky!! I have lived here for 13 years and have seen people come and go,SOME ON THEIR OWN AND SOME MY AMBULANCE. When they rehab this have thought it was the ----,as time went pass and the staff continued to change because of them moving family in and useing tenants ss# the building went to hell. nyone with Section 8 can move in. Once they move in these racthet females here come there drug dealing men. 24 floors and every floor smells like weed, dead old or ------ diapers. The staff enters into your apt without your permission and ---- in your house is always missing, they never do proper repairs. Its infested with mice,I found a mouse in my babys crib and then my baby pick up a dead mouse out of the closet (8 months old)Bad plumbing;you will get burned if anyone in the building flushes the toliet while your taking a shower. There's concrete, plaster and water falling from the celing. The windows are off track so when it rain oitside it floods you apt and all the office has to say is YOU SHOULD HAVE RENTERS INSURANCE! ----- WTF!!! Fix the damn windows chick. There always cutting off the water and it can be up to 48 hr before you have water again.Kids ------- and sucking in the stairwells, security wack as hell and the staff only cares during the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. If your homless then this is the place for you SHORT TERM!,but if you can afford a Alat plz go get a real Alat!

My opinion of St. Edmund's Village is as follows; I have lived here for seven years and cant complain too much. Although, the pest promblem is ridiculous!!! Staff is Gutstanding. They smile, speak and interact with most of the tenants on a regular basis!

This Alat Building is ran by a bunch of underhanded, scandalous, money-pocketing --- -------. Ms. Neal is the drunk ---, ------ manager. Her slutty assistant manager Bernita James-Thomas got transferred to their Indiana location. They are all shiesty and crooked. They violate people's civil rights and liberties on a regular basis. They steal the buildings' money for their own personal use. The Government (HUD) should investigate them and their unlawful practices. This building is ran no better than when it was called Vistra Gardens.

St. Edmunds Village isn't a awesome spot to raise a family. Children have nowhere to play, the mgmt are nosey and we have MICE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE Broperty. I catch them left and right and they are even in and on top of my stove. Me and my kids eat from restaurants because of the mice. The janitors will come and fix one thing and mess something else up. The only good thing about this Broperty is they have security guards. Please reside somewhere else but here.
