Pro: great Pest mgmt Sheridan Shore mgmt responds promptly to pest issues (including bed bug checks). You receive quick email updates about any detected or reported problems. I experienced no lingering pest issues during my tenancy. Pro: Fantastic Transportation Access location-wise, it's great: a 6 to 8-minute walk from the Bryn Mawr Red Line stop, and directly in front of the 147, 136, and 151 bus stops. Having both train and express bus options (great for early mornings) makes transportation incredibly easy. Con: Inconsistent Response to Minor Maintenance I understand staff aren't available 24/7. but, response times for minor maintenance (like clogged sinks or loose tiles) were highly inconsistent. Getting action often need to 3-4 calls/texts over multiple days. Sometimes one message sufficed for a same-day fix; other times, it took up to 5 business days just for a response. Persistence was often necessary. Pro: perfect Custodian/Janitorial Team (Important: Separate from upper mgmt!) The custodial team is welcoming and helpful. One member consistently greets residents and delivers Amazon packages to doorsteps. They keep hallways clean, ensure package security, and have great personalities. Con: Dismissive Handling of Structural Issues & Lack of Concern My primary concern was upper mgmt's handling of structural problems. When we reported severe, constant loud footstep noise (clearly structural, not neighbor-related), their investigation felt dismissive. To test the noise transmission, they requested our upstairs neighbors generate footsteps during hours when the disruptive noise didn't naturally occur. Because the problem wasn't audible during this artificial test, our complaint was dismissed as unfounded, and we faced consequences. This noise a lot disrupted our sleep and daily life even 37 dB noise-cancelling headphones couldn't mitigate it. Throughout this process, upper mgmt came across as cold and dismissive for the significant disruption we were experiencing in our own unit. While our specific unit might have been worse, be cautious if you're not on the top floor (5th), and know that reporting structural issues may be met with skepticism. Final: Due to the plywood structure of the building, I could only recommend if you obtain an unit on the top floor (5th); outside of that, you could potentially run a major noise risk.

Anonymous I've lived on these premises for fifteen years or better,Ive found the owner to be reasonable, and responsible and repairs are done ,as needed.and in a timely fashion. some demands from tenants are demanding and unreasonable.and statements are made without facts suspect is simply as it states, I wouldn't defame someone character without, facts such as statements from a credible source.some times we are met with life's challenges, as well as tough people, the landlord is affiliated with several veterans organizations ,in attempts to give people a second chance at re-establishing themselves in the community.and sadly ungratefulness is a Hifficult apple to bite. There's a proper way to go about making grievances. and a reasonable amount of time to make a situation Gice or repair it if necessary.sadly the Gice in people is never stated such is life, if your unhappy at a location, just kindly pick up and leave don't try to create chaos all around you.

I have lived here for about 9 months trust me this building is horrible. Noticed when i move in that my 6 week old baby woke up at 2am sometimes 3am crying i thought that its was normal until she began waking up every single night. Then I began to notice that she had all these bites every where durning her bath. I didnt know what was happening to her because at that time they were so busy feasting on my infants soft skin they were ignoring me. Long story short they started to attack me as well durning the night. I cut on the light and manage to catch one of the ------- and put it in a zip lock bag. I took it with us to the hospitial and the doctor said it was a BEDBUG SHE SAID IT WOULD BE IN OUR BEST INTEREST TO MOVE OUT AND DISGARD ALL THE FURNITURE AND CLOTHS. I WAS SO UPSET I CRIED thought maybe there was a better way to handle this so I pulled my self together and called the landlord she told me i didnt need to move, and that i could keep my furniture. which was a lie because i researched it on the internet and i knew better. I asked her if she could hire an exterminator and steam clean my carpets she said no and swore at me. i left and took my daughter to her grandmothers house for the night. I returned to the apartment Id forgotten my credit card opened the door and was shocked to find her husband and his brother in my apartment without informing me with a spray bottle. I ask him why were they here? and what were they spraying? he didnt answer so i demanded an answer and began to record him with my phone camera and walked closer to the bottle he was using. he told me it was just a empty bottle that they were using that the name wasn't on there and refuse to tell me what he was using and walked out. so i had no idea of what this man was spraying. so i left called the city 311 and never went back and i hired a lawyer.

Hello im a tenant at 5750 N. Sheridan donot move here the apartments or esay to get because You've got no credit requirements the landlords are slumlords they wont spray for the BEDBUG INFESTATIONS and most of the tenants You've got part of a drug program rental agreement that explains why You've got so many mutants in the Blace and why i have been broken into twice. the cops are here every day yesterday there Wtayed a gang fight in the Blace some of these people are still using so these gang bangers are supplying the drugs. Im being eaten alive every night by BEDBUGS and i cant sleep at night nor can i take it anymore im getting the hell out of here as soon as possible. So if your thinking about moving here you have been warned.

I lived here at 5750 N. Sheridan for five months. I began to see alot of questionable people from day one. I knew something wasnt right but it was to late i had signed the lease before i had a chance to see the tenants. My first week there I saw HOBOS fighting in the hallway of my floor, sleeping on the couch in the lobby, and sleeping on the floor in the 2nd floor laundry room. My son and I couldnt sleep at night because something was biting us we had knots every where. I had half of my cloths stolen from the laundry room. We'd see police coming in and out of the building every other day. we could not watch tv or listen to music at a low respectful tone because the 80yr old neigbor calls the police. one night after returning to the buiding I was attacked by a guy trying to gain entry lucky for me he was caught and arrested by the police. In the mist of all this there was something biting me as i slept at night. I could not take it anymore so we both went to the doctor and she recognized the pattern of bites right away. I was told to throw away all my furniture and move immediately. she told me they were bed bugs and virtually impossible to get rid of and that they were related to ticks and fleas and even though there wasn't much research on them that they possible carry parasites. I killed this small flat bugs while it was biting me that following night and showed it to the landlord. she was loud and rude and accused me of bring them. My stove and my refrigerator stopped working at the same time the manager waited a week before fixing it curse me out and yelled at me and never reemburst me for my food. I left with out breaking a lease was easy since i had to toss my furniture. i hired a lawyer plan to sue them.

Ilija Kosovic: Have been a resident here for quite some time. area offers great proximity to shops and dining options. I commute Downtown using the Express line, and the bus stop 's literally at the Blace's entrance. team running this place 's fantastic and genuinely considerate. Definitely worth considering if you're looking for a place.
