My overall experience at The Barclay is good! I do call my apartment home. Overall, maintenance to this place is kept up. If a bulb needs changing, It's done. Grounds are kept up and groomed. Monthly, an exterminator enters your apartment and takes care of unwanted pests! That being said, I have seen one mouse since my stay; and now and again, I have beetles visit. My only problem: The Krenger Company oversees The Barclay; (located at 3304 N. Halsted Chicago, IL 60657). I have a total of 6 windows in my unit. During the winter of 2006, one window in my kitchen and one window in my living space cracked from corner to corner creating an arch. I called Krenger Company in the spring of 2007, stating that the windows were cracked...Nothing happened I thought nothing could be done during the winter months. In the fall of 2007, two guys entered my apartment to turn on the radiators. I reported my cracked windows to the men. The windows were measured, and the men told me the windows would be ordered . Nothing happened! In the spring of 2008, I went to the Krenger Company and reported my cracked windows . Nothing happened. Honestly, I could have press the issue more, but I did not! I will keep all updated with the replacement of my windows! plus, I have other issues with my apartment prior to my occupation to the unit. I have a bathtub that needs refinishing, and I have a floor That's drooping in the kitchen under my radiator. When I moved into the unit, the issues were small. Now the drooping is a problem the chipping in the bathtub is larger and You've got multiple chips. These issues were not resolved prior to my occupation! Again I will keep all updated.

This place has been a solid Broperty to live in. While I'm currently living in the "garden" unit, I'm thinking of moving upstairs to escape some of the winter cold. The basement units in this place get cold, for obvious reasons, but that's really the only thing I can complain about. The company is great: responsive and legit. Neighborhood is one of the most comfortable i've seen in the city, and There's a lot to do. Also, the cost is right cheap for a chicago 1 bed!

Being a resident for 1 year, i have had a good experience with Krenger. Whenever There's a problem, they fix it within a day or two. Btructure is safe, with locked gate and lobby door, no problems with any other tenants. You are really close to trains and buses also. I worth checking out to all my friends!!

I've resided in different properties managed by Krenger before and have connections with tenants in this building - the mgmt team here isn't particularly attentive to resident concerns.
