The location of this building is fantastic. My one bedroom apartment is a good size with great storage room, but is in definite need of updating. The kitchen very small and very old. The maintenance staff is worthless. The laundry room is absolutely disgusting. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

-Great location! Like my apartment, dislike the property. -Nice size studio. Could definitely use some updates though. -Heat & gas is not included. Expect to pay $50-55 every 2 months for gas. The heat is electric, which gets expensive. Usually costs around $100/month during winter. -Laundry room is disgusting. 80% of the time the washers & dryers are broke! -The maintenance man has changed 3 times in a few months.

I have lived in several apartment complexes in and around Chicago - and this must be one of my favorites. It is quiet, close to shops and right across the street from Jewel. Parking is decent (you'll need a Zone 383 parking sticker). Electricity, Heat and Gas are NOT included in rent. I was told gas would be about $7-8/month, however People's Gas automattically bills you roughly $25/month whether you even use the gas or not. The windows in the unit are newer so the electric baseboard heat does a great job keeping the place warm. I have a rather large studio and the most I've paid for heat during the winter was about $75. There is a landlord on site who always answers his cell phone. He's incredibly friendly, but he seems a little over worked because it'll take him a while to get to any maintenance issues. He does get to it when he can and is apologetic for it taking time. I'm a single, white female in her twenties and feel very safe in this neighborhood and complex. I sometimes work at a bar and come home at late hours and, with the busy-ness of the area, feel safe walking my dog in the wee hours of the morning. Defnitely would recommend this complex. I'm friends with all my neighbors and there's a unique sense of community here - moreso than anywhere else I've lived.
