Mail and packages kept getting stolen. I wonder if those cameras are just for show. Management is rude and the apartment is filled with people who behave like they're homeless scratching cusswords in hallways and leaving trash everywhere especially the laundry room and elevator. This place is gross even after the new renovations. Not to mention maintenance never gets here, had to do all repairs and installations myself and I'm a 20 year old girl. I hate living here to death but stuck until I get a better job.

Whatever you do don't rent this place no matter how much you are trying to save. First of all the manager at this site is EXTREMELY RUDE. She has the worse attitude and its her constant mode. Thats the only thing that hasn't changed about her ever since she arrived. She talks to the elderly as though they were third class citizen forgetting the rent they pay is her paycheck. She is so unprofessional in her demeanor, her attitude was a topic of discussion on a public bus. My siblings got a irritating agent thrown on them from one of the windows, they reported it to the police and the office. The office told them someone was properly cleaning their windows and they got a sprinkle of the detergent. Why and how someone will clean their window with an agent that can cause brining sensation on your skin and instantly crinkle a silk dress is something only this office can explain. The office was supposed to send out a memo to all the tenants not to throw anything out of the window but am sure they are busy on the phone and client safety is not a priority to them. My sibling's friend whom she convinced to come live in this place because it was affordable had her item stolen and until today there is no camera footage of what happened. There are cameras here alright but they don't function. So you can be attacked in this building right in front of a camera and no one will know what happened to you. Half of the dryers in this building doesn't work and its used by both Shorewind towers and court residents. For your safety and respect, RENT elsewhere. I HAD an appt today 08/24/16. Once in the office I asked if there was a public restroom I could use, the YOUNG lady stated No Sorry! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? I'm a potential tenant & I can't use "A" bathroom"? she tried to proceed, but I stated "Well, you can cancel, if I can't use the bathroom in which I've been holding til I arrived here" She replied OK.....LOL WOW Needless to say I left & was relieved to find out what I would've been dealing with as a tenant with issues, etc. and now regret reviewing these reviews before even setting an appt

I live in Shorewind Court apartments, the apartments across the street from Shorewind Towers. This is the first experience I have had with incompetent management company. Where do I start, my apartment overlook the trash area, and it is absolutely filthy, so filthy you do not want to touch the lid to open it to throw your trash in it. The laundry room on average always has a broken washer leaving two washers for a large number of people to wash. My bathroom was in terrible shape, the radiator badly rusted, over growth of mold, paint in tub badly peeling, paint badly peeling in certain parts of the house, walk-in closet mold problem, front door and back door installed backwards (did not notice when I took the apartment, nor was it disclosed by the man who showed the apartment), kitchen floor caving-in, stove poorly wired under the hood afraid to clean that part for fear of explosion. Property manager said she would come out and do a walk through never showed-up and did not reschedule. Maintenance skills in making repairs are very poor at best. There is always dog bowls on the property, you have to be very careful where you step. In addition, the backdoor area is closed-in and the odors that come from back there will wake the dead. Do not rent from this place, it is poorly managed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the worse apartment building in all of chicago. I will never ever rent from this company again i will not be renewing my lease. The leasing agent lied said plenty of parking, you have to drive around ten times and fight for street parking. The building is old investeded with roaches and bed bugs and the lights go out everytime it freaken drizzles. Once it went out for almost 24hours all my food went bad had to stay at a friends house. The water has poor pressure that continually needs maintenance and they said only small pets allowed please huge dogs with dog crap and fleas all over the building and yard the dogs pee in the elevator. When i complained about how large some of the dogs were they claimed the dogs were grandfather in. They claimed it was a nice area hell someone got shot right behind the building last week. Do not waste your time or money.

Run do not walk Run, this is the worst place to live. I am sitting here crying that I rented a unit in this development. They have roaches so big I thought it was a mouse. They also have mice. I can't close my eyes at night to sleep fearing that the roaches/mice will crawl in my bed. Management is a joke, they will tell you anything so that you can lease a unit. I see now, why they had so many vacancies.
