I lived in the Oasis building which is the newer ones, but baby let me tell u that was a rush --- project. The apartments flood when it rains and they will promise u that they will change your carpet they don’t. The bedrooms get water bubbles on the wall when it rains as well and they don’t fix ---- so now u living with mold. The staff is hella rude and disrespectful especially Parker & Hightower. U can complain all day and they won’t do ----. They don’t change filters like they suppose too. The violence is out of control and those bad --- kids are out all night throwing ---- at your door playing on your door bell. It just sad because with all that said the newer ones that I was in is actually nice in the inside.

If I Could rate this place a zero I would . Starting off I would like to say you have mothers with child/children (Boys) over five years of age coupled up in the room with their Mothers . Most have to sleep in the same bed because the rooms aren't big enough to put the child in their own Bed. Secondly The staff is ridiculous They treat the tenants like gum under their shoe . I've heard the way they talk to the tenants and put fear in them . Charge them for Everything . Not to mention the tenants is NOT paying 30% of their income Somebody's getting Over they're being Over Charged . I went to visit one day and the way Della The Previous (HBIC) was talking to a senior didn't make no sense . She needed her Mouth washed out with Soap and But Whooped By sunrise . the Rodents is out of control . The tenants has to pay for Normal wear and tear . Late fees that's too high I mean this is a low income building . But I call it like I see it Bootcamp I wonder if the tenants know anything about HUD and if possible that they could talk to Someone other than the Wardens that's in that Office . HUD need to Serious Take a look at these People and whoever Hired this Staff Need to Really Evaluate the people that they Hire . these are people not Dogs this is a place to live Not a correctional Center . I call it like I see it it's much more I will be back I'm gone file a complaint with HUD Myself Because I know the tenants are afraid To do so !

If you thinking about moving here dont. All the promises they make are never followed thru on. Thier supposed to come and change the filters every three mns for the furnace/air unit. I had to purchased them myself. The tenants are rude noisy disrespectable. Play music all day fight argue. You complain to management. They tell you there all these formalities to go thru. You go thru them and things calm down for a while then it starts all over again. You contact management and try to go about things the legal way. They want return your calls. When you do catch up with them there is no follow thru. Just more lies and avoiding you. They never clean hallways and laundry rooms. Avoid this place at all cost unless your just desperate. They are always running rent specials because people are alwys moving out because of lack of management, crime or bad tenants.

Beware this building is DANGEROUS!! I have lived here for 13 years and have seen people come and go,SOME ON THEIR OWN AND SOME MY AMBULANCE. When they rehab this have thought it was the ----,as time went pass and the staff continued to change because of them moving family in and useing tenants ss# the building went to hell. nyone with Section 8 can move in. Once they move in these racthet females here come there drug dealing men. 24 floors and every floor smells like weed, dead old or ------ diapers. The staff enters into your apt without your permission and ---- in your house is always missing, they never do proper repairs. Its infested with mice,I found a mouse in my babys crib and then my baby pick up a dead mouse out of the closet (8 months old)Bad plumbing;you will get burned if anyone in the building flushes the toliet while your taking a shower. There's concrete, plaster and water falling from the celing. The windows are off track so when it rain oitside it floods you apt and all the office has to say is YOU SHOULD HAVE RENTERS INSURANCE! ----- WTF!!! Fix the damn windows chick. There always cutting off the water and it can be up to 48 hr before you have water again.Kids ------- and sucking in the stairwells, security wack as hell and the staff only cares during the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. If your homless then this is the place for you SHORT TERM!,but if you can afford a apartment plz go get a real apartment!

St. Edmunds Village is not a great place to raise a family. Children have nowhere to play, the management are very nosey and we have MICE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE BUILDING. I catch them left and right and they are even in and on top of my stove. Me and my kids eat from restaurants because of the mice. The janitors will come and fix one thing and mess something else up. The only good thing about this building is they have security guards. Please reside somewhere else but here.

Children nor adults are safe as tenants in these apartments. The violence in this section of Chicago is because this particular owner has no discretion when it comes to renters. Anyone with a section 8 voucher or a part time job can move here. Criminals are allowed to live in these units as long as they can pay rent. So your neighbor may very well be a drug dealer or rapist. Also, rodents run freely through the halls and units. Please don't be misled by the "good" comments. It's just a sad attempt that the incompetent management is making to misguide renters...run!
