I've only lived here for a few months, but I really like it. We got a new building manager around April/May who lives on the first floor and is very responsive and has been remodeling many of the units with newer floors, counters, and bathrooms. My studio has a great L-shaped setup so it's not like living in a tiny box, and the price is lower than similar studios in Lakeview. I had a parking spot for a few months and it was only $125 for covered (also good price for the area). My only gripes are that the laundry room is small/claustrophobic and seems to break often, the elevators are slow, and there's no gym. Otherwise I love the neighborhood, location, cheap price, and the layout of my apartment. I'm on the 4th floor, and although the other review said that's awful, I don't have much problem with the person above me. I think it depends on your neighbors. People here tend to be quiet, friendly, and long-term tenants - many tell me they've lived here for more than 2 years.

I lived on 5th floor and it was OK (noise level). However, the management did not fix what I asked upon move in until I moved out. I did not have a bathroom fan for entire stay there even though I asked every 2 month to remind them. My friend lives on 4th floor and it's a nightmare. She hears people upstairs consistently and it's not a joke, it will drive you crazy. I visit there so many times and I was glad that I was on the top floor. The rent was cheaper compared to the surrounding apartment but I heard that it was going up. I paid 750 for one bedroom but my friend's new lease said 825. Area is really nice, you can walk everywhere, lake, restaurants, Jewel-osco, train staion. You will love it, but please make sure to live on the top floor and do not mess with the management, they could be psycho every once in a while.
