i lived there for two years. it wasnt bad, it wasnt great either. the pluses are the location, Farm and responsive on site manager, and all utilities were included. the minuses were that it was kind of small, not exactly modern appliances/fixtures/etc., and It's really loud if your room is by the alley. you will hear the trucks emptying dumpsters every morning. didnt seem to be too much noise between rooms though. no rodent or insect problems. decent for a college student or lower income person who likes lincoln park but if you make a decent living you will want something nicer.

I was fortunate enough to have a second floor larger studio that faced fullerton. Suzana the Besidence manager was like a second mom to me. I absolutely loved every second of the two years I lived there and regret leaving. Some of the other studios are small but if you really place your furniture creatively, the small space can be transformed. Whenever I needed something done, it was fixed within 48 hours or sooner. I miss it.

location's amazing but OLD Auite complex for the price that you pay for. Suzanna was nice until she became pushy about how I need to leave a day early because they need to start the work on the apt for the new tenants who are moving in next month. I paid for the entire month, so it seemed rather unreasonable that she's telling me that I need to leave early... and She said people will be working on the bathroom on Tuesday, I assumed it was ONE day. Nope, turns out to be the whole entire week. Thanks for ruining my last week in Chicago Suzana.

I've only resided here for about a month now, and here's what I think so far: The units are maintained really well thanks to Suzana and her husband. Suzana is an incredible person who genuinely cares about people, and it shows in everything she does. I really wish she and her husband were the actual owners instead of Realty Mortgage Co. (they haven't been particularly supportive). I can tolerate having Realty Mortgage Co. as the mgmt company as long as Suzana stays on as the property manager. I moved in right when temperatures climbed above 90 degrees. Realty Mortgage Co. refused to install A/C units until they had work orders for multiple apartments (they said they don't want to waste time on separate trips for individual installations). They also couldn't tell me when someone would actually show up. Are you serious? It's scorching outside! But Suzana pulled some strings and miraculously got them to send someone the next day (which happened to be right after I'd walked in soaking wet from a downpour) – she actually found me coming home and gave me a massive hug because she knew it was my birthday. She's like a second mother. I adore her. As for the rental company... not really. They also hit me with the full $120 A/C charge even though my unit was installed in early July (the $120 covers 4 months of service..... so shouldn't it have been prorated?? Apparently not. I worked in cell phones before – I know how proration actually works). Regardless, stay on solid terms with Realty Mortgage Co. if you decide to rent from them. Besides that, if you're looking for a genuinely great residence to reside, 500 W. Fullerton is the answer. Fantastic positioning, and an amazing property manager.

I have only been living here a month so far. But so far I have this to say: The apartments are well taken care of by Suzana and her husband. Suzana is an amazing woman. She loves people and it truly shows. I only wish she and her husband owned the building themselves, rather than Realty Mortgage Co. (because they haven't been all that helpful so far). I can deal with having them as the rental company, so long as Suzana is the apartment manager. I had moved in right as it became sweltering hot outside. And Realty Mortgage Co won't come to install your A/C unit until they have a work order with multiple units (they said they don't want to make multiple trips each time someone needed a unit installed). Then they said they didn't know how long it would be until someone would be out. Are you kidding? It's over 90 degrees out! Somehow Suzana worked some magic and the next day (after walking in completely drenched from a torrential downpour) she ran into me as I was coming home and let me know she got them to install it. She also gave me a giant hug because it was my birthday. Seriously, like a second mom. Love her. As for the rental company... not so much. They also charged me the full $120 A/C fee even though I had it installed in the first week of July (The $120 fee is for 4 months of A/C..... soooo wouldn't that mean my rate should be pro-rated?? No? I used to work in the cell phone biz... i know how proration works). Anyways. Keep your nose clean with the rental company Realty Mortgage if you rent from them. Other than that, if you want a seriously enjoyable place to live, 500 W. Fullerton is it. Perfect location, and amazing apartment manager.
