This building has been converted to condos, so the only rentals you will be able to get are from individual condo owners.

I do not live here so I cannot comment on much, except to say that the building looks immaculate, the pool/ outdoor lounge area looks stunning, and the staff is courteous and friendly.

The building is beautifully maintained. Top of the line ammenities (granite counters, pool, fitness room.) Since they've added the business center, a new restarant downstairs and fixed the problem with the internet, I've had no complaints. The staff here is responsive and overall extremely nice. Plus you couldn't ask for a better location, close to the river, restaurants, and great shopping. Only caveat is that the building is being sold, so who knows what the new management may be like. I won't miss is the expensive inconvenient downtown parking (especially for guests), but overall I will really hate to leave the place when my lease expires this summer.

The building is great. My only complaint is the internet service which goes down every weekend, sometimes for hours, other times for whole days. And when the internet is working, download speeds are barely better than dialup.

If you're looking at a building where the TV/Internet service is provided by MDU Communications and internet access is important for your job, I'd recommend finding another building or getting DSL service.

We've moved in February and love it
here. The doormen/management are very nice and friendly and know our names. The location, price, and the view are fantastic. The only thing i have a problem with is the internet service that is provided by the building. The company hired/contracted to provide internet services has been crap, usually offline once a week at least. If your job requires you to be online then I suggest you get DSL. Can't really complain much because itýs free but it's been a pain. Aside from that everything is perfect.

This is a very nice apartment, lived here several months and have few complaints. The deck is very nice; tons of closet space; utilities are fantasic (full sized washer, garbage disposal, cable/internet, etc.). The doorstaff and maintenance staff are extremely friendly and incredibly helpful (which is good since some of the women in the management office can be kind of crotchety sometimes--odd, since they were so nice before we moved in). The workout room is okay--kind of small with only 8 weight machines. If you do any kind of lifting you'll have to join a gym. No business center, which, in an apartment this nice you might expect them to have. Very quiet--haven't heard any neighbors, but that might be because they haven't moved in yet...

When Crescent Heights took over Huron Plaza in 2003 and replaced all of the management from the Habitat Company, I had no other choice but to move. When I found out that the entire staff was coming to 400, I immediatley signed a lease at the building, even though it was still under construction. Now that the construction is finished, the building is georgeous. I have unobsturcted views to the south and east, balcony, washer & dryer and a garbage disposal (rare in a high rise). Cable, high speed internet and heat/air are included. The office staff is great and always friendly and the doorstaff is the best. The health club is awesome, with plasma televisions and new equiptment and the outdoor pool on the 8th floor will be great this summer, there are no other buildings to obstruct the sun.

I´ve lived here for 3 months and so far love it. The staff has been very friendly and the doormen are the best. Maintenance has also been quick to respond.

So much is included, and I signed a lease with great consessions, 2 months free, $1,000 of the third month, 2 months free parking (I sold my car, so that was another $400 off rent) and no deposit, even for the cat. With the heat/AC, cable, internet, pool, gym included, plus I walk to work so no transportation costs, it was really a no-brainer. Then what really sold me was a full size washer and dryer in the unit. You don´t find that often in convertibles (which is not bad for one person) and the North view, looking to the side over towards Michigan ave is really pretty nice. More importantly, I can´t really hear my neighbors - top, bottom or side.

I would highly recommend, especially if they still have rent concessions offered. I don´t have great control over the thermostat (which isn´t uncommon), but with everything all nice new and clean I can live with that. They still have some growing pains with new construction, but the rent concessions are well worth the small inconveniences.

I have toured this brand new apartment building twice--once before the building´s official move-in date and several months later with a friend. On both walkthoughs, I looked at two convertible plans (Residences 9 & 12) and a 1-bedroom (Residence 1).

As for the building, this is a very new building with a contemporary lobby, high-speed elevators and a huge parking garage attached to the tower. The area is nice--the building is one block from the Merchandise Mart, a couple blocks north of the Loop on LaSalle, and about 3/4 mile west of Michigan Avenue. Not bad, but the area feels more commercial than residential.

The apartments I viewed are very nice--standard granite counter tops, good appliances, good carpeting, etc. One thing that surprised me was the addition of kitchen garbage disposals--a rareity in any rental building in Chicago. For the time being, renters will get cable, high-speed Internet, pools, and a gym included in the rent. Not bad, except that the rent is fairly high, even with 1-month off.

The convertibles were not bad, except I would avoid the lower floors, especially the Residence 9 (convertible) plans near the pool area. Not only might these units seem noisy during the summer but the CTA Brown and Purple lines are only a block away, and you will hear them. The western lower floor views won´t be all that great--a view of the parking garage and nearby rooftops. Just something to think about.

The Residence 1 (1-bedroom) was great--a decent amount of space, and the balcony is just cozy enough for a chair and small table. Only thing--the nearby condo building blocks a little of the southeastern view.
