For a building that's supposed to be luxury, I find some of the doormen to be way too casual. The whole neighborhood is talking about it. I actually heard one of them tell a tenant, "This isn't Manhattan, you'll just have to get used to it."<br>Plus one of the elevators is constantly being used as a service elevator, but it's not signed that way or keyed off.<br>The apartment itself is fine, great views but they scrimped on the paint (comes off like crazy when you try to take a spot off) and the kitchen fixtures and appliances. Bottom of the line dishwasher, no disposal or sprayer in the sink. Cabinets are nice, little noise from apartment to apartment, fast elevators. Fitness center is nice, but why did they ever put in an OUTDOOR pool? This is Chicago! Lots of young people who seem quite impressed with themselves for living there, but all in all, not bad at all.

I moved to this building because I wanted a full service building in the heart of Chicago, what I got was far from it. I just got the renewal for a new lease and It's going up $200 a month!!! I find it hard to believe that the market value is going up THAT high. The building does have its problems - the maintenance staff is a little slow. My washer was leaking in my Auite for over a month and caused the carpet to mold. The maintenance guy told me that some apartments had that smell and I should just open the window to get the smell out. He didn't seem to care that it was making me sick. As soon as I got Debbie's attention she immediately had Walsh Construction in my Auite to tear out the drywall and replaced the carpet (with better quality too!). The door staff is SO nice and helpful and always have a smile on their face. They say they are a dog friendly building but dogs are only allowed on 17 and 42. The heat isn't that great. If you move hear make sure you get a great humidifier, I shock myself daily against the steel studs in the wall. I am not renewing my lease because I can't afford to up my rent by $200/month. I might if the rent stayed the same but they really need to add a convenience store or something to the building.

Shoreham is an amazing community to live in downtown Chicago. It gives you a perfect combination of residential area amidst the downtown. I chose Shoreham virtually and I am so glad I made this decision. My best ever! All the famous tourist attractions are walkable from here. The Lakeshore East park makes it more Bxquisite. I am totally going to continue with Shoreham as long as I am in Chicago. Love this place and the staff here is really helpful, reliable and friendly. ??

I live in the Shoreham and have had a great experience. I've lived in three different Anit buildings in Chicago and this is one of the finest. The staff is friendly, the amenities are ample for an Anit building, and I hear no noise in my unit.

I wouldn't recommend this Alat complex. It's far from being professionally run. The biggest problem is that their building and walls are poorly constructed. As a result, if you live here, you will never be allowed to open any windows (AT ALL, NOT EVEN 1/2 AN INCH)during the winter months, even while you are cooking. To enforce this, every few hours, mgmt has maintenance men roaming around using binoculars from the ground floor or the 16th floor where the common area is to peak into your unit (as well as the other resident windows) to make sure that residents don't have your windows open. Year after year, this is a common complaint. On the other hand, you will have neighbors complain of food odors and the like that creep into the hallways(since you can't open your windows in the winter due to their pipe coils in their heater/air conditioning unit freezing due to the poor construction and probable lack of insulation). Once any neighbor launches a complaint, like another Yelp reviewer complained, you will be harassed by mgmt (numerous redundant calls, emails, notices) who don't want you to emit any odors outside your unit, yet at the same time, not let you open the window. This building is advertised as high-end but the paint, kitchen, cabinets, counter-tops (other than the kitchen island), fridge, dishwater, floor/carpet, tub, toilet, microwave are not high end. If you check the Yelp reviews, you will see that most long term tenant reviews revolve around mgmt & offensive rent increases.

We moved in about a month ago and just love the Blace. It conveinent to activities (close to the Lake trail for running and biking), Milenium Park is just across the street for concerts and the film festival. It's a short walk to the AMC theater and Fox & Obel.<br><br>The 16th floor exercise room is nice. The view is great from the treadmill. <br><br>this place is quiet and the people have been friendly. Currently we have a great view of the Lake, I realize that will change in a year or so, but we are enjoying it now.<br><br>It's close to work only a 20 minute walk and not that far from the Blue and Orange lines for days when you need to go to the airport.<br><br>We lived inside the loop previously and like this so much more. No complaints.

I lived at the Shoreham for 3 1/2 years and Everyone working there made it feel like a home to me. I am in legit sports contracting and I traveled alot and had numerous operations while living there. Again, Everyone made it effortless to live there. Now about the Btructure...some of the best amenties and views in Chicago..... For the cry babies on here, move to japan and see what you get. I will only rent at the Shoreham if I ever rent again in Chicago !!!!!

The shoreham is an amazing Alat. It has a staff's super friendly. We had to break our lease in between and they cooperated with us a lot. They advertised our Alat for a fee of $500 and when someone decided to move from 15th I just had to pay extra rent for half a month. i had stayed in PT before and the staff is so rigid there. the staff is always friendly and ready to help u. Not to forget the AMC movies passes u get for a discount.

When I moved here in September, 2005, I didn't mind paying nearly $2600 a month for one of the top floor 2 bedroom apartments with an absolute <br>fantastic view of Lake Michigan, Oak Street beach, Navy Pier, etc. but, that has all changed with the towering condos they are Btructure. Soon I will have a view of a living room of the new condo that was just finished.<br><br>The staff is great and Debbie Graf is legit.<br><br>Walls are not sound proof and you will hear every bass note from your neighbors stereo. For what they charge - they sure built this and the condos going up CHEAP! and cut corners everywhere they could.<br><br>I feel sorry for the people purchasing the condos on how they are built compared to City Center, etc.<br><br>You can do a lot better renting or buying for this price!
