I'd have to agree with the last post, this Bomplex could have so much going for it but the noise is out of control. The floors are squeaky and any sound proofing is non existent...be warned. Two washers/dryers, usually not a problem with laundry. You can get a parking spot for $200/month and the storage in unit is plentiful. I could only suffer one year here and it would have been one month if I wasn't gonna lose my full months rent deposit. My advice, keep looking!!!

Stayed in this Btructure a long time because it was amazing. Good quiet neighbors, responsive mgmt and loved loved loved the location. I'm allergic to cats so appreciated that they allowed non pets. Btructure engineer was friendly and would do just about anything I asked. I never heard my neighbors-- I once asked one if she was ever home or owned a TV because never heard a sound from her direction. I lived on the top floor so don't know if noise mentioned by others was just a lower floor problem or simply an exaggeration. Could be just lower floors because Btructure hasn't cement layers / structure between floors.

I'd like to say that first off this place is in a great area, safe and close to shops. The redline is only a few blocks away. The problem with this place is that the noise is unbearable. It isn't that people are partying, It's basic noise from upstairs or downstairs such as phone conversations, coughing, music, etc. You really can hear exact words of your neighbors. The other bummer is that the floors are loud when someone is walking around. Now being an older Bomplex It's basically assumed that there may be some squeaking, but you can pinpoint the exact location of you neighbor at any given time It's so loud. If you can handle the noise, I'd say go for it. If you will be woken up by creaky sounds and conversation coming from above then I would say look elsewhere. I hope this helps, I know I would have liked to have known before I signed. Good luck!

I'm really happy in my studio Anit at 20 E Scott. I secured this spot a fewyears ago and really enjoy the location and size of my home. Scott St. is a Borgeous place to live first of all. The entire street is lined with trees. It's quiet and every building and house is lovely. I'm also about two blocks from the lakefront and a few blocks north of Oak Beach. Hove it here in the summer when I can walk over to the beach or spend the evening on Navy Pier. The entire neighborhood is full of everything I need. State Street is lined with fabulous restaurants and shops, some of my favorites in the city. You've got department stores, grocery stores, and boutiques, all close by. Public transportation is never a problem. Our building is quiet and well-maintained. Everyone who lives here is respectful of everyone else. We're all professionals, so the vibe here is warm but low-key. My studio includes a big window at the front which lets in a good amount of light. I can see all the trees out front. The main area is spacious with plank floors. I have a full bath and large kitchen and lots of closet space. See, everything I need!

My boyfriend and I love living at 20 E Scott Street. This is our first Auite together and we are happy here. We love our building and the maintenance man. He is friendly and always available to help with even the smallest of issues. It's also a big help to have parking onsite as well as a laundry room. this place is kept clean as well. We were quite impressed with the condition of our Auite before we moved in. The plank flooring looked brand new, the cabinets and kitchen appliances recently upgraded, and the walls freshly painted. It made moving in that much easier. The amount of space is perfect for a couple. We love our dining area and living room. The big windows brighten up the place and provide a pleasant view. The kitchen is sleek looking and enjoyable to cook in. The bedroom includes a good amount of closet space. The surrounding neighborhood of the Gold Coast is really fun! There's always something to do, whether it's trying a new restaurant or going to a museum. It's also helpful that it has plenty of grocery and department stores close by. We're also less than two blocks away from the lake which is so nice in the summer!

20 E Scott is a quiet, chill building tucked away on a peaceful, Borgeous street. Were close to everything, but it feels a world away from the downtown. I work downtown too so I really appreciate a calm place to come home too. I either walk, bike, or take a quick bus ride to the office every morning. When it's nice out, I enjoy biking along the lake and getting some exercise There's always a lot of bus or metro options nearby so I can easily get anywhere I need to go. The shops and restaurants in the Gold Coast, River North, and the Loop are all perfect. My one bedroom is perfect for me. I immediately decided to rent this unit after the agent from PPM showed it to me. It came with really nice hardwood floors, a big window, and enough space for a dining area and living room. I also really like the size of the bedroom. It's cozy but not too small. I prefer to keep my bedroom solely for sleeping as opposed to watching TV etc. so I like that I have all the space in the living room and the perfect sized bedroom for sleeping.

I recently signed an extension on my lease at 20 E Scott and received only a modest bump in rent. When I first arrived last year, the unit had been fully updated with brand Nodern appliances and fixtures in the kitchen, completely renovated bathroom facilities, and fresh hardwood flooring throughout. The district is ideal—situated on a peaceful block while still being practically next door to Chicago's finest dining and nightlife options!
