If 0 stars was an option I’d do that. Building doesn’t have fire alarms and has constant flooding in hallways, bathrooms, and apartments. Pool and apartment may look nice but don’t be fooled because the complex is managed by a company that doesn’t want to put a penny into the building.

If you’re reading this, consider this the best advice you’ll receive today…. possibly all year. This building is a joke as I sit here in my 82 degree apartment (and climbing) on a 95 degree day because the AC IS BROKEN AGAIN (this is also a pet friendly building…. this makes it even worse)! Something is ALWAYS broken. If it’s not the AC, it’s the heat in the winter, it’s the elevators, windows, water system, laundry machines, etc etc etc. Please do yourself a favor and don’t be fooled by the amenities like I was. It’s NOT worth the price tag, trust me. Not to mention a lot of neighbors love blasting their sound systems at all hours of the day and leaving party favors in the hall. So cool. Oh and there’s been 2 fires since I moved here 8 months ago. The neighborhood is nice, but to sum up, look elsewhere because you can do better.

K Square Apartments the worse possible rental building in all of Chicago!! Peak Properties is a company that doesn't mind stealing residents hard earned money. Water on the floor upon move in, windows that leak constantly, air conditioners that leak. Not providing a place for residents to work when their apartment is uninhabitable because of negligence. The list goes on and on. Please find somewhere else to live!!

Staff at K Square are horrible. (With the exception of the Maintenance team, who are all wonderful!) K Square's managers are unfriendly, unresponsive, and often rude. They do not care about the tenants. I'm not really sure what they do, if anything. They are looking to gauge you and you'll be surprised with many unexpected fees as soon as you move in.
