I hate these apartments and the people who are so called running them. My mother stays in them and she has a severe , severe rat/ mice problem. The maintenance is lazy as hell and doesn't want to do their damn jobs. Mice are running all over the apartment on the tables and chairs etc. my mom is 65 yrs old and stays by herself. She's up all night hollering and beating because mice are running out on her. And the people at the office says that this is not an emergency do the maintenance not coming because of the Covid 19. I feel this is wrong and something needs to be done. We will be calling channel 7 news and not paying rent.

I remember when my mother use to live at Barbara Jean Wright Courts. I thought that the area was the hood. My mother past over 14 years ago since then i have sold my condo in Rodger Park and moved to Barbara Jean Wright Court seven years ago. I have seen the new changes that Barbara Jean Wright Courts has been. The neighborhood has turn out to be a mix race. the neighborhood is growning so fast I am paying rent just like my neighbors at University Village. I have next door neighbors that are --------, and Africans from the mother land. I have neighbors that are Chinese. I do understand that I don't care where you live TRUST ME your next door neighbor may be selling drugs and you may not know it. I enjoy walking downtown or just a walk on Taylor street. It very close to everything. I'm so looking forward to enjoying the changes that are still coming in these apartment. THANK YOU BARBARA JEAN WRIGHT COURT. I am a tenent that is very please with my apartment. I will tell everyone to come and see yourself what the property is about...enjoy because i do.

If you want to live in a ------ in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood, then move here. The grounds look nice from afar, but as soon as the weather gets warm everyone and their mother just lurks outside your apartment, listening to the most vulgar music and basically living and drinking in your lawn. Today I was treated to a song about beating and abusing women like dogs that was SO LOUD I could not escape it with my windows shut, my door closed and my TV on. Wonderful. Just what I want my kids to hear in the middle of the day. When I went to ask my neighbor to turn it down or play something appropriate for public I was threatened. My car, and many other on the block, has been vandalized three times already. Popped tires, broken windows etc. Last summer, one of the teen gangs I now call my neighbors, broke TEN car windows in one night. Do I dare say anything? No, because I would be next. TO THE MANAGEMENT- DO YOUR JOB AND CONTROL THE LEWD AND LOUD BEHAVIOR so we can all live in peace.

I lived there for 1 yr and 10 mos. and it was the worst experience ever. I had a fire in my apartment in july2007 and the management did nothing to service besides saying they put me up in a apartment with no stove and refrigerator, at the time I had a 1 yr old,a 1 month old, a 10 yr old. How would we live without those items. I went to stay with family until the smell left and when we moved back in the smell still lingered, up until the time we moved in October 2007. When I explained to them I wanted to move with a 30 day notice, they said I had to get it noterized. That was August 25th. I figured since they seen the paper they new I wanted to move out. I went to get the paper noterized on September 12, 2007. When I returned the letter they said my 30 days would start from that day. Even though I signed a lease somewhere else to start October 1, 2007. I left the letter and continued with my moving plans. Once I moved out, the same day I went back to clean and they were in my house already. I haven't told them I moved early ( the joys of a small community) I left and called the next day and asked for a walk through and they said it wasn't needed. 35 days later I asked about my security deposit and they said I never paid it WTF***. Hell no. Now its time to call the lawyer. For this to be a very big complex, they have the worst ameteur people running their establishment. Colisha is the worst manager ever she has no respect for the tenants, and thinks that she owns the faciltiy (she has her whole family overtaking the townhomes so don't ever go there thinking that she is going to rent one to you thats strictly for the Williams family)Not only that,Cynthia Colisha's manager is the biggest fake and phony ever. She doesn't help any one with anything. Thers goes going over Colisha's head. Other than that, the maintenace men are very nice (probably b/c they hit up the bottle every night having to deal with Colisha and her staff everyday. Let's not forget the burning hot duplexes and townhomes. All year long the heat in the apts are on 85 even in the summer. So hell no don't move there

The apartments and town homes are in walking distant from downtown, buses (Halsted 8, Roosevelt 12, and Blue Island 60), trains (blue line and the metra), sport bars, a library, UIC college, near by grocery stores and the medical center. You can t beat the location at all. As a matter of fact you can even see the downtown skyline from the neighborhood. The Kitchens have maple wood cabinets and title floors. The Kitchens in the apartments are very small in size compared to the town homes. The town homes have an eat in kitchen. All rooms in the apartments as well as in the town homes have blue carpet. The carpet is not the best. As a matter of fact it is kind of like that outside carpet people use on their patios. All windows in both the apartments and the town homes have storm windows. Bathrooms all have the pedestal sink. There is parking in the area but you have to have a sticker and parking seems to be limited. There is also parking on the nearby street, Morgan and 14th place. In the summer kids hang out but the neighborhood has a 10:00pm curfew. Although there is a curfew fights still do occur. There are four security guards in the area that work different shifts. Every building in the area has a security camera attached to it. The apartments can range from two bedrooms to three. The town homes can range from three bedrooms to four bedrooms. In the town homes you have a patio and a little yard in the back and front. Across the street from the area is UIC police station on Morgan and Maxwell and John M Symth elementary on Maxwell and Blue Island and there is also a Park across the street on Maxwell from the apartments.

First of all the apartments are very hot, the hallways have central air, not the apartments. The office manager have no people or commuication skills, she is all for her family (misusing government funds) they all have town houses. Property is well kept, but there is lots and lots of fighting among children and sometimes adults, kids out until 2-3 am making noise.

The apts are very hot, the janitors are so very nice each and every one of them. its just not a good place for people who have kids, the rent is ok, the units are very nice, the property are well kept up. just the teenagers girls that is tends to fight a lot for no reason other than jealousy, so if you have teenager girls not a good place to live

and the old manager would rather move teenagers in instead of working families thats where the problems start
