I lived here for almost a year and I never had a problem. I am currently renting from another apartment complex, but in the suburbs, which costs a lot more and it is considered a luxury facility. It is horrible! I have had nothing but problems! (talk about rude and unhelpful people)
Canterbury is in a great location. Fine, it is an older property, but still nice.
Sure, it is loud due to the bars, but noise is anywhere you go.
I would recommend this place again.

Some months ago I posted a review of Canterbury Court that was very derogatory. I was in a CRISIS, unrelated to Canterbury, that clouded my judgment in many matters. On more rational reflection, I wish to apologize for my completely inaccurate comments. Canterbury was an excellent place to live, and I would recommend it to everyone. Thank you.

I needed a furnished studio within walking distance of downtown at a reasonable price, for about 6 months. CCA had flexible-term leases, reasonable rents (comparatively speaking) and met my needs--which were basically to have a place to sleep. Is it a palace? No--but it´s a good value for what it is.

When you need short-term housing in Chicago, Canterbury Court apartments is the place. I intended to stay three months but ended up staying six months. The location is convenient, not to mention just a couple blocks from the lake.

I found the staff to be exceptionally nice and helpful. You can get a furnished apartment in a nice building. The building is older. It is funky but rather charming. Also, I can’t emphasize enough what a great location it is. It was the perfect place for me to stay while working on some short-term projects in Chicago. I would stay there again.
