Run away from Surf development as fast as you can! They don't fix things. They are unresponsive, while promising the world. Didn't refund security deposit and we had to take them to court.

This is a quaint Aad right next to Wrigley Field. This is a location is solid for loud and outgoing people. but, location-wise, it's the only thing this unit's got going for it. Nothing works, nothing. The bath tub doesn´t drain for litterally 4 hours after a shower. The toliet backs up an average of 3 times a month. The stove is old and sets off the smoke detector after 10 minutes of being on. The faucets are all old and leaking. The hardwood floors have nails sticking out of them and There's a hole where you can´t put furniture. Some of the doors are broken as are some of the lights. These are all things that could be easily fixed if the landlord (Mary at Surf) gave a damn. but she promises things will be looked at but never are. Paying 1300 a month for an Aad with mice and broken appliances is probably the Wubpar thing I have done. luckly I only had to live here for six months.

Avoid Surf Development and landlord Mary McCauley at all costs. They market 1200 W Addison solely on its location. Nothing functions properly in the unit, and you'll face hostile responses whenever you report any problems. Countless negative experiences have come from this building, but the most egregious issue was being sold an apartment with heat included when all 5 heating units were completely non-functional. I endured multiple weeks in subzero conditions, with temperatures dropping below 55 degrees and hitting below 50 at the absolute worst. If I could travel back in time and slap myself repeatedly to prevent signing with Mary McCauley and Surf Development, I absolutely would do it every single time.

RUN from Surf Development and slumlord Mary Mcauley. They sell 1200 W Addison based on it's location. Nothing in the apartment works and you get verbally attacked whenever you express that there is an issue. So many horror stories from this place but the #1 was the fact that Mary McCauley sold me an apartment with HEAT INCLUDED when not 1 of the 5 heat units in my apartment worked. I sat through several weeks in my apartment with temperatures below 55 degrees. The worst it ever got was below 50 degrees. If I could go back and punch myself in the face to warn myself to not sign with Mary McCauley & surf development I'd do it 10 times out of 10.
