Old deteriorating building. Bad insulation - summers are unbearably hot(with max AC running which doesnt even blow cold air). During the winters - inside is worse than in a freezer (with max heat set at 85F which blows more like 60F "heat"). Electricity bill is always high. No window cleaning service. Also building has never ending water pipes fixing issues, expect entire apartment flood at least once a year as well. Building refuses to add 3rd party cable/internet providers. Only provider is Comcast. Stay away from it. Newly built rental condos are far better and even cheaper than this place.

This place is terrible. If I could give it -100 stars I would. Management is rude, consultation is going on as we speak and as someone who works from home it is impossible to stay in my apartment from 9-5 as the noise is unbearable. Additionally, the apartment is terrible insulated and our electricity bill quadrupled in the winter months ($400 a month!!!). This place is not kid friendly and it is loud. The gym and the pool are also dirty and the maintained staff is rude.

Rudest people imaginable both in the management office and as tenants. If you don't care about losing value over rude doormen, buy here.

Have been in this building several times considering renting and buying, but concerned by negative comments about the management and elevators. Really like the building's ammenities. Does anyone have any recent experiences to share? I would appreciate any feedback.

Rudest people I've ever encountered - hung up on me when I was moving in and trying to find where the service elevator was located! Also people with dogs do not have to use the service elevator, so quote often you will find urine in the regular elevators.

I've moved in this building in sept 2009 and I like it very much. i live in a one bedroom, corner unit (south and southwest) on a high floor, so the view is great. the building amenities are nice (gym and outdoor pool), the units have large rooms and the balconies are super-large ! I don't have any contact with the management office since my unit is privately owned so I didnt have any bad experiences with the Mgt office. for the elevators, I don't complain, it's ok. I'm surprised with the reviews about the noise in the building. my unit / floor is actually very quiet. as far as the noise from the outside, well if you don't want to hear police sirens and cab horns,... well don't live downtown then! it's a great location, with trade joe's, Jewel and Whole Foods all within one block. close to transport, michigan avenue, the theater, etc.. I love it!

I lived there for one year and I noticed that if you want to get your mood down for one day, the best solution is to go to 7th floor. These people attitude will provide great job in ruining your mood. Front desk are all great, total opposite to 7th floor management. Units are very noisy as well. Ambulance, Police, Fire dept. sirens all day and night long drives crazy. For such rental price, I highly recommend to go to other place somewhere else.

Managament is all the time with bad attitude. If you need any type of help, they will treat you like a criminal in court. Except your hands and legs will be not in handcuffs. When they are renting, they sweet as sugar with excessive sweeterners. Unit is noisy. Ambulances are noisy all day and all night, even 3AM. It drove me crazy within a month! During the winter time, I had to pay $550-$700 per month for electricity because of heat. And it still was cold because of windows.

This unit might seem aesthetically pleasing, but I warn you to look somewhere else. The management has got to be one of the nastiest people you could ever meet. Sure they are nice to you in the beginning and sugar coat everything with their smiles and seeming approachability, but its just a fa ade in order to get commissions. I got locked out one day; immediately after I closed my door, I realized that I forgot my key. Something that should be take less than 30 seconds to remedy took a very very stressful hour! I showed them my id (which bears the Ontario place address in addition to my unit number) and several documents. But much to my surprise, they did not even care. According to them, I am not the main lease holder so I am not entitled the benefit of the spare key (however, I am listed as a resident), Connie was there but she acted like she has never seen me before!!!!!! She was the one who I viewed the unit with and was present when we signed the lease. The other lady in the office was the one who gave me a gift card for getting the unit. They told me that I had to call the unit owner so that they could confirm that I m a resident there .however they refused to give me the number---so how in the world do I reach them<????!!!!!!They also did not care that the security guards see me on a daily basis in addition to numerous employees .What more proof did I need. The office closes at 5pm and the problem arose at 3.30. They just wanted me out of the office ASAP without a care in the world that if ot allowed in the Unit, I would be forced to be homeless for a night until I could reach the building owner. Its disheartening that after a year of living there and paying 1800 a month, I am treated like a regular criminal with such a cold and apathetic attitude
