They fine you with no previous warning and treat unit owners like lowlife criminals, maintenance harasses you in inappropriate ways and goes into your apartment without knocking , stay away from this place, chief of maintenance is an animal abuser

Building is full of drug addicts and young college students, some are one in the same. Needles in the stairwells and elevators always smell like marijuana. Lobby smells like garbage because the door to the trash dumpster is always opened to the lobby. Management is practically never there.

If you are thinking of renting or buying a unit in this building. Don't. There is a lawsuit in the works due to shoddy construction when it was built in 2006. This is the real reason the pool has been closed a few times for months-years as recently as Fall 2016. The pool is sinking into the parking garage and there is constant work on the facade of the building due to cracks in the foundation which you can see on the outside of the towers from the 8th floor pool deck as well as in the stairwells throughout the building.

Metropolis has a lot of potential to be very luxurious and upscale apartments but in my year of living here they have continued to fall short in my expectations. Construction has been ongoing for over a year and they add new projects before completing any so nothing gets done efficiently. No pools use for over a year (due to construction) with no completion date. The staff seem to hate their job so it doesn't make you feel welcome when you get home. The apartment/views are nice and the neighborhood is quiet but for the price you can find a much better all around apartment somewhere else. Management needs to put their self in our (the tenants) shoes and improve this place or lower the rent!

Don't be fooled!! Building has been under construction (meaning no pools) for a long time and there is still no completion date. Recently they have been doing something with the balconies where they chip away at the building (very loud from 9 am - 5 pm) and this project also has no completion date. They put a wooden plank in the way of your balcony door so you can't use your balcony even when they're not working on it! Besides those huge annoyances it's a decent building in a good area. Quiet neighbors and secure building. We definitely would not rent or own here at all. It might seem nice at first but go with your other choices because if you pick Metropolis you will regret it jut like we have and many others. If you do rent a 1 bedroom don't pay anything over $1550 because there are many other nicer places at this price point so you will feel disappointing a few months into living at Metropolis.

Great place to live. Management is VERY responsive. Minutes to downtown and University of Miami.

Outstanding high rise in the heart of Dadeland with suburban peace and calm atmosphere. The towers seem unique in their ability to withstand hurricanes - they were designed in a way to dissipate wind energy (octagon like) and the windows are hurricane proof. They are very conveniently located, almost everything is walking distance, near everything from Publix to Dadeland Mall and the Metrorail, not to mention US 1, Palmetto and the FL Turnpike. The management is professional, courteous and efficient. It is a very quiet and pleasant place to live - residents are very polite (like US Midwestern-style people). Residents are professionals, doctors, nurses, students and there seems to be a tendency for more retired people moving in, which makes the place even calmer and safer. Security is outstanding. Many units seem to belong to northern people as you see northern (including Canadian) license plates in the winter. I have lived here since the beginning (8 years now) and definitely recommend it. The place has lots of rules which is "excellent" for families.

I've been living in a loft for 2 years now and I am in the process of leaving this week. I love my corner unit and how quiet it has been for me. in the area, more places to eat and drink now have opened up (Lime, Chilis, World of Beer, Elevation Burgers) across the street. Security guards in the front desk Alex and Grace are the nicest people ever. Very AWESOME individuals.. Just Real!! Overall it has been a good 2 years but there are some areas that need improvement. Examples: -The majority of the residents here are UM students so many complain about noise or pot smokers but i have never experienced that in my loft. - Club Room can NOT be used for parties. I was not told that and I was excited to have my work holiday gatherings here, but sadly couldn't. Association Board is overprotected with this space. Hint hint, charge for the usage and replaces with items from IKEA. Easy to maintain.. -Parking- Sucks for vistors Bg Time. Lack of space. -VALET- good luck with your car- they drive peoples cars like mad men. DON'T trust them at all. -Speed Bumps- I am sure due to Valet here and even worse the ones from Marriott Courtyard crazy drivers, they placed speed bumps in the garage to slow drivers down. They are the CAUSE AND REASON for this but rest of our cars have to go through alignment problems with our cars now. -Moving in and out- Now you have a Mandatory 60 dollars to pay a security guard to watch your truck and things while you go up and down elevator. I will miss my apt., the view, and the peacefulness of it. I am now passing my unit to a buddy of mine and he is excited to move into this space. It is a beautiful updated loft. Total Bachelor Pad. Good Luck!!

I lived at Metropolis for 2 years until I was transferred to the Caribbean. I can say that it was a very positive and pleasant experience. The units are new and the building is clean. The mall on one side, a Publix supermarket, the Downtown Dadeland on the south side and to top it off, easy access to the Metrorail make this place a logical choice for anyone working along the metro line. I must say the only negative experience that I encountered was the manager and his "staff". Overall very good experience.

Me and my husband have been living here for about 9 months now in a 2/2. I love it here and intend to renew my lease for another year. You can't beat the location, next to the metrorail, publix, and dadeland mall. I work in downtown Miami so the access to the metro is important to me. The amemenities are very nice and the people are friendly. The units are fairly large and modern with granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances. The security is very good and quite neighbors. If you can find an available unit in this building I highly recommend it as I have searched many places.
