Unfortunately, I have no choice but to give a 1 star rating. But if a 1 Star rating equals THE WORST LIVING EXPERIENCE then its perfect. The staff in general are very nice, however, they're own Pawns to the tyrant that is their boss named Louisa. Just ask any staff of how they feel the property management is run and how they're treated. You'll realize that you're making a mistake in consideration this location. Gym is run down, laundry equipment and rooms are. Security guards are a complete joke and are just Louisa's watch dogs to report any and all incidents regardless how small or if they're even true. Do not waste your time with this place. Thank me later.

Horrible customer service. I made a scheduled visit for my daughter. She drove 110 miles on a Friday to Miami. Once she arrived, some lady would not let her in for a tour even though it was still within business hours. What???? My daughter was sent away upset. No apologies. Not a place you want to go if this is how they do business. I wouldn't even give it a one star rating. Furious mom

This place is not good to leave, the apartments are very old, the rent is too high, the people who leave there are not good. Too many parties during the weekend. too noisy. unsafe. poor maintenance

Douglas Cove has become a friendly, responsible and exceptional place to live. The new building manager, Christine, who was hired by the developer's manager, Louisa, as done a superb job of keeping everything in order and has been responsible for upgrades, new paint, great maintenance service and full time ability to have emergency access to the manager's office. No more chaos, favoritism, or lack of services and promises. If you hold up your end of the bargain, then they will bend over backwards to make this a great place to live, especially, Christin O.

Oh where do I start...first they don't have a live in manager, the new guy barely speaks English...this is America. That's not the worst thing in the world there is a "in case of emergency" phone number so if there is a leak at 3 am you'd probably have to wait til 7am when someone feels like answering. The old manager although there wasnt much to complain or compliment about other the the awful smell of cat urine and cigarettes in the lobby and leaving you waiting on gettng repairs done he held your packages which was something every tenant was told the office did until 6pm sometimes even 6:30. Now they claim they can't be responsible for that because there isn't enough "space". HELLO it's the SAME OFFICE with less clutter and junk there is PLENTY of space! That is just ridiculous how am I suppose to really expect that joe shmoe down the hall won't just take my package if it were to be left infront of my door? RIDICULOUS much? Yes indeed!! They decided to release promotional pamphlets of the building. Which was filled with nothing but lies. The gym hasn't been updated in this building since 1989 and the building isn't that old! There is 1 not really semi working treadmill no in place bikes like they have on the pamphlet. Oh wait it gets better... "updated appliances" without any exaggeration the tag on my microwave says 1994 earth to Douglas Cove it's 2012!!!! I have 2 Parking spots, why do I have to constantly keep checking that someone isnt parking in one of my spots? That's right because people let their guest come in and park in other peoples' spots! What they should do is assign the side of the building on 27th st as guest parking say after 6pm when those offices are closed. There is a also a no pet policy which is more like no dog policy because they allow everything else, but there are a few tenants with small dogs. The Rent here isn't cheap why doesn't the "office" actually take time to listen to the tenants' complaints? Maybe then there will actually be some sort of improvement.

This place is not only falling apart, but they have mold issues! Not to mention the property manager Mario Prado is a degenerate and ignorant fool who does not care about anyone else but himself. He smokes inside the building on the first floor, in his office primarily and you can complain all you want, but he will NEVER change. The parking is a nightmare, people will always park in your spot and nothing will be done about it. Pets are NOT allowed but you will be charged a $60 non-refundable pet fee. You can leave the apartment spotless, but Mario will deduct $250 from your deposit- JUST BECAUSE and the security will sleep all night long and the last thing you are is safe.

Been stuck here for 3 years now and it's my final one. Staff is horrible. Mario smokes in the office and it constantly smells like cigarettes in the lobby. The recreational room/gym has maybe on or two working machines. Building is falling apart and they love to raise the rent ever year and it's not worth it for a crap hole like this one. As far as security they really don't do much. Good luck! Also make sure you get a copy of your lease they like to charge a 60 dolled pet fee when there's no animals allowed here.
