At first, I thought it was a great place, until I officially moved in and it all went down hill from there. The apartment was in pretty bad condition, the tub was stained, the counters were peeling and the AC vent was rusty. It was also filthy! I had to scrub that place before I moved my belongings into it. There was so much pet hair left behind! Once it was clean and I made it my own, it was ok. The place was relatively quiet, I was on the 2nd floor. Balcony was very nice, however parking was a free for all. Because of the marina and lack of assigned spots, the parking lot would be filled in no time. The gate rarely closed so people could just come right in and park. Then, towards the end of my 15 month lease, someone moved in next door to me. They would put their garbage out in the valet bins covered in maggots, which would crawl down the hallway and under my door. I had to put towels to keep them from entering. The staff knew the tenant had mental problems, but did nothing to help. Maintenance didn't come over the weekends to clean up the maggots, so I had to pour boiling water down the hallway to kill them! It was disgusting. Then when I went to move out, which I could not do soon enough, they asked me if I'd like to pay 50 bucks to have them clean the apartment. I opted no because I figured if it was anything like when I moved in, I could do a much better job. 2 months later and I receive a bill for 50 bucks for a cleaning fee! Not to mention that they increased the rent drastically. They wanted me to pay almost 1400 for that same tiny outdated apartment. It needs a lot of work. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. There are so many other nicer places in the area!

This place is a joke. Sure it's beautiful and right on the water. But the price they are charging is ridiculous. Get a realtor and find a non-managed complex with better amenities. Camden is charging 1700 for a 1 bedroom that has been "upgraded". Their version of an upgrade is stainless steel appliances, granite counters and wood floors. Not worth an extra 400 a month. Especially when the apartments were built in the 90's and are due for an upgrade anyway. People tailgate through the gate, which works only about 50% of the time. The police department is literally 100 yards away, but getting them to come out for anything is like pulling teeth. The front office staff have the worst communication skills ever and each one of them will tell you a different story. Beware of Maritza, she's the worst. She acts like it's her personal responsibility to be as rude as she possibly can everytime I set foot in the office. People let their dogs defecate everywhere and never clean it up. The office rents boat slips to people who don't even live in the complex so there is a constant stream of transients through the parking lot. A few cars were broken into last week. This place is just awful.

Liked this place right up until I received a notice stating that in order to renew my lease the rent would increase from $1190/month to $1550/month. Seriously?? It s a one bedroom! Found a great two bedroom that is large dog friendly for less.

I agree with the last poster. Having read some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant to rent here but I really liked the area so I went ahead and signed a lease. I have to say I love it here. I have not had any of the problems mentioned either. I would recommend this place to anyone that asks.

I have not lived here that long, but so far I really like it. I am very surprised at some of the negative reviews- they do not coincide with my experience thus far. The area is great, the city itself has many wealthy residents and everything in the environment is very clean and well maintained. I love the valet trash pick up...going to the dumpster late at night does not appeal to me, so that service is well worth the small price. Parking is never an issue- I am always able to park within 200 feet of the stairwell I use. I had an issue with small ants when we moved in. This unit had not been lived in for a while, so that was understandable. Maintenance quickly took care of that problem and I have not seen one since. The raquetball court is nice, as is the pool area, and being down on the marina is another perk. Not to mention the beach is only a 5 minute ride over the lehman causeway and the awesome aventura mall is so close I can walk to it in 10 minutes.

Date: 1/7/11 Contract the office again for refund, was told "it didn't matter" if one of the leasing agents put the charge thru and didn't tell me about the non-refundable $475. I also ask him how can you approval someone on the spot without doing a employment verification. He quoted you have a good credit rating. But he didn't realize that he open up the wrong door. Because if I had sure "good credit" why were they asking me for one month rent for security deposit. When in fact their policy is "good credit" "no deposit". Leasing Agent was LOST FOR WORDS. Was told to call corporate office and hang up the phone. BEWARE Cc: Msn Cc: Google Cc: Yahoo Cc: Facebook Cc: Twitter Cc: OneTV Cc: Camden Aventura PS: Make no mistake I have contract my credit card company and will be denying charges. But as a responsible consumer its my duty to report scams of any natural and use all resources possible. And will continue to do so. Correction: I was processing an application on their Camden Aventura web site that seems to had some faults in transmission which cause to me to receive error messages. So, my application was not process until, by an "Leasing Agent" BEWARE Date 1/5/11 Camden Aventura Apartments Complex is pulling a one of the biggest scams. You file an application on file that doesn't go thru after numerous times. So you call the office somehow they put it thru and you are approval for an apartment. But, without telling you that they just charge your credit card a non-refunable $475 charge. How can you approve someone on the spot without checking there references and employment. I will update this site on this matter everyday until I get my refund. As I stated to the manger at Camden of Aventura I have no problem of paying the application fee but I will not pay you $475 for something I didn't approval of or being that this is non-refunable. This is unprofessional for a company to do business this way. I will be updating this site and others with my result each and everyday until I get my refund of $475.00 Cc: Camden Aventura Cc: Google Cc: Aol Cc: Msn Cc: Facebook Cc: Twitter

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year now. We have 2 large dogs, and it is a great enviornment for them. We live on the Marina side and have a great view and even thou there is only 1 pool on this side, we make it work. We like the apartment, never had any issues with the neighbors, and maitnence always came and fixed things in a timely mannor. Parking is kind of tight on this side, but we lived close to the office so we could just park in the front. The location is great, close to the mall, and the excersise trail around the country club. There is even a car wash and vaccum in the back of the parking lot. Very convienent!!! We were comepletly content to live here for a few more years. Then our lease renewal came around 45 days before the lease expired... the rent increase for 12 more months was $255 more a month!!!! We would be paying almost $1600 for a 2/2 in a rental community, dont get me wrong I know Aventura is pricy but this is just wrong. The apartment is o.k. but its not a penthouse sweet. When we went to the office to try to negotiate they told us that was the going rate for the apartment right now, and we were lucky to have gotten it so cheap last year. We even looked into getting a 1 bedroom and those rates were still 12-1300$ for one bedroom!! All of a sudden nobody in the office seemed to care that we didnt want to pay the increase, nor could we afford it. NOBODY CARED NOBODY. With so many options out there for renters, it is not that hard to find something more affordable, my problem is the 2 dogs. Many places by the beach don't allow large dogs. Good luck if you move here, we really like it but we knew we'd be pushing it to cover the $1600 a month to stay and when that year is up, we will probablly have to give them our first born in order to stay.

I have lived here for 9 years, and have recommended 4 friends to live here as well and they all love it. The apartments are being renovated with hardwood floors, granite kitchen, tile showers, they are really beautiful. But the best part is that never do my maintenance request go unanswered, this past weekend there was an incident where the fire sprinkler on the third floor of my building broke so the third, second and first floor got flooded....really really badly. In a matter of minutes we had all the maintenance guys helping us out and solving the problem. The new manager Rick Harris has improved everything in the property including the gym which now looks amazing, but going back to the flood, he has been so helpful. He provided us with hotel stay until we got our new apt, gave us a furnished apt until we decided on which new unit we wanted to live in, and facilitated the whole process. Im sorry but I dont think anyone now a days goes out of their way to help you out on a crisis, they would usually just have you call and deal with your renters insurance. He took the time to listen and sit down with me to provide me with solutions, and great ones. About the prices, you just have to check and keep checking back for good prices, considering the aspect of these apts and the area, you get a great deal. If you are thinking of moving here do it! and check out the new remodeled apartments, I have not seen anything like it in this price range around aventura.

I lived here for about a year while I went to school and, overall, I wish I rented somewhere else. The rent was expensive for what you get. Parking, on the side with the marina, can be a nightmare if you get home late. It's annoying when you have to constantly register a guest and after you have registered that person for 2 weeks (2 weeks out of the entire year), they must buy a parking decal for the community to prevent them from getting a ticket or boot. I keep my apartment clean but I have had to deal with many roaches, ants, and millipedes. I have had ants swarm in through the window and sliding glass door. If you rent here, be sure to invest in some raid or bug traps. The office can be a pain to deal with at times, but a few workers there are friendly and will try to help. However, they are greedy and will do anything to get their money. I have submitted one maintenance request and it was never completed despite receiving an email telling me it was completed the same day. Instead of filing another request I personally chose to fix the problem because then I knew it would be done. Noise is typically not bad but I lived close to the pool so the kids can get loud on the weekends but it's not a problem. On the plus side the neighbors I interacted with were very friendly, but I don't find that to be a strong reason to negate all of the negatives. If you have the money to pay their crazy fees (yes you do have to pay for garbage pickup outside your door for them to drive down the parking lot and throw the garbage in the dumpster) and can handle bugs then move here. But I would recommend looking elsewhere first and get something nicer for the same amount.
