“I want to share my experience after living in this complex for a year. I do so not out of resentment but with the intention of providing honest information and helping others make an informed decision. Many times, tenants trust what apartment management tells them, only to realize that once the lease is signed, the reality is completely different. This place is a clear example of how some complexes treat their residents as mere numbers, with no real concern for their well-being, especially when their lease term is coming to an end. From the beginning, my experience here went from bad to worse. What started as minor inconveniences became serious issues that made my stay unbearable. Management, which was already inefficient from the start, became increasingly unresponsive and absent. In the final months, they ignored complaints about excessive noise at 5 a.m., dirty hallways, and security issues. It doesn’t matter how many emails you send or complaints you file—management will not respond. To this day, they have rarely replied to my emails. One of the most frustrating issues was the elevators, which rarely worked. On multiple occasions, I had to carry heavy items up the stairs because the elevators were out of service for days. For a building that charges over $3,000 per month in rent, this is unacceptable. It’s not just an inconvenience; it shows a complete lack of consideration for tenants who pay high rent expecting at least the basics—comfort and functionality. As for the building itself, the reality is far from what they advertise. It’s an old complex, and it shows. The walls are poorly patched, the appliances are outdated, and they contribute to unnecessarily high electricity bills. What’s most concerning is that, while management refuses to invest in real improvements, they have no problem overcharging tenants for supposed “repairs” when they move out. Security is another major issue. Broken locks allow homeless individuals to enter and sleep in common areas. Despite the presence of security cameras and so-called security staff, there is a constant feeling of insecurity. A building charging these kinds of rates should ensure its tenants feel safe, but that is not the case here. The worst part came at the end of my lease. Even though I personally painted the apartment and left it in perfect condition, management still charged me an unfair painting fee. This wasn’t a matter of wear and tear or damage; it was simply an abusive practice to squeeze more money out of tenants upon move-out. I was not the only one who faced this—it seems to be a common tactic in this complex. One of the main reasons I decided not to renew my lease, apart from the old condition of the apartment, was the extremely poor management. Their lack of response, disregard for tenant concerns, and overall mismanagement of the building made staying here an impossible option to consider. If someone is considering moving here, my recommendation is clear: Do thorough research before signing a lease. Don’t be fooled by staged photos or misleading positive reviews. I will be posting recent images to show the actual condition of the building and help those considering this place make an informed decision. I would not recommend this building to anyone unless significant improvements are made and tenants are treated with respect. If you still decide to move in, make sure to document everything—from the condition of the apartment to every interaction with management. A lease may last months or years, but a bad housing experience can affect your quality of life daily. Don’t make the same mistake.”
“The leasing office is terrible. Racist security (Omar) and parking garage staff (Frank.) Also had a security guard watch me while working out in gym. Management mistreats black residents. I had a friend here who moved because of how they treated her vs her white roommate. Was told to “get the ---- out” of the parking office and was threatened with the police because they wanted me to leave the premises because I went to complain on parking attendant, mind you I’m a resident.Definitely the worst team I have encountered. I’ve received better experience from management from apartments that costed $600/month. This apartment is also not wheelchair friendly which is a huge issue. We have elevators but they one work three months out of each year. There are zero wheelchair accessible doors. Fire alarms are always blaring. Laura, Alexa, and Delanie all need to be trained in customer service and basic manners. Management harasses and they also have a record of illegal evictions. Perverted maintenance man Joel walked in on me and my girlfriend sleeping with other men and LAUGHED. Management refused to hold him accountable. Neighbors are extremely noisy and they won’t do anything about it. There was mold when I moved in. ALL of my doors in the apartment fell off. One onto my roommate leaving a hole. They put the doors back up and never patched the hole. I had a broken dryer for MONTHS because maintenance would come and not actually fix it. Just clean the lint trap when it was a heat switch issue. Also overheard Alexa McDowell saying they want me out because I was a victim of domestic violence which caused the police to come. Be careful! The beauty that you think you see is not worth your peace of mind.”

I initially tried to handle the scheduling myself, but the process was unexpectedly complicated and unclear. When I reached out to the leasing office for assistance, getting a response proved to be equally challenging. The lack of accessibility and communication made what should have been a straightforward task unnecessarily frustrating. This experience highlighted the need for improvements in their customer service and scheduling process. They could not even validate our ticket correctly. I would definitely try and reconsider before leasing here!”

Especially Cesar, has consistently displayed a high level of professionalism and expertise in his work, and has been instrumental in ensuring that our community apartment complex remains in top-notch condition. But not only Cesar display his professionalism, The whole maintenance team is comprised of a dedicated group of individuals who are not only skilled in their respective areas of expertise, but are also committed to providing exceptional service. They are always prompt in their response times, and are able to quickly and efficiently address any issues that arise. They have demonstrated an impressive ability to identify potential issues before they become larger problems, and have implemented preventative measures that have saved us time and money in the long run. In addition to their technical skills, the maintenance crew has also shown a great deal of professionalism and courtesy in their interactions with us (the residences). Moving is always such a stress, but this team made it easier. Love the place and super excited for our new life in the city.”

They recently renovated the lobby and common areas and they are wonderful. There's a doorman, security patrol & a parking lot attendant. Everyone makes everything so easy for you from transitioning to day-to-day life. Delanie (Sunset + Vine Leasing Consultant) was extremely instrumental in my move. I toured the building about a month prior to moving in and at that time, they didn't have anything that I liked so she actually notated what I was looking for and contacted me when the unit became available that matched my preferences. She made the transition super easy and I was greeted with a thoughtful gift basket. NormA and Nancy are amazing as well and everyone works together ! I recommend this building to anyone; you will not be disappointed!”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Had AC issues on a day it was over 95 and submitted maintenance request under normal circumstances (not emergency). Jermain (sp?) showed up quickly and determined blower motor needed to be replaced. Immediately found replacement and fixed it. Now have cool AC working again. Outstanding maintenance team!!!!!!!”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“I lived in this property about 10 years ago. It was fine. Left on good terms. Last year - 9 years after move out - Windsor Communities took over $3000 out of my bank account without warning or authorization. Windsor has admitted that I didn't owe them any money and that the withdrawal was not authorized BUT HAS REFUSED TO REPAY THE MONEY. In fact, they have not responded to repeated phone calls or emails. If you rent from them, I would be very careful paying by check or ACH because this gives them access to your bank account information you may be stuck like me, having lost over $3,000, a ton of bank service fees, and hours and hours of frustration. It looks like I will have to go to small claims court to recover the money. It's a shame - the property itself is fine and local management was fine, but this is fraud and unacceptable.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Lived here since 2014 - office staff, maintenance & security have all been professional and helpful in all my interactions. I've enjoyed my time at the Sunset+Vine property and the new community lounge area is a great addition!”

— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“It’s been a great experience. No issues with neighbors and any time I have technical issues in the apartment (which is rare) Jermaine from the maintenance staff always takes care of it in a timely fashion.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Jermaine Woodard is simply the best handyman ever. Any problem I have had he has fixed it immediately. He is a people person kind and amazing wit animals too. A true legend. Thanks so much maintenance team”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“This complex is absolutely wonderful. It was very quiet which is surprising for the location, and the staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. My tour guide Delanie answered all my questions and was able to suggest multiple styles of apartments to fit any of my needs. She was also incredibly friendly and seemed to really listen and take an interest in the people she's helping. We passed several workers who were all incredibly nice and offered greetings. The apartments are nice and there are a variety of choices which I loved! All and all it seems like a safe and friendly community and the employees seem genuinely happy to be working here.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“I love living here, very cheap living for living right in the center of hollywood, the apartments are soundproofed so you don’t really hear any neighbors or cars outside. parking garage is very safe, packaging services are great, in home washer and drier, and staff is very quick to fix anything, my clogged drain was fixed within an hour :) love it here”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Jermaine is a great guy and staff member! I always run into him in the hallways and always chatting away. He’s kinda, funny, and AMAZING with his work! I know that my roommate and I can count on him for anything.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Dryer was clogged. New maintenance guy came and tried to fix it. Didn’t work. Jermaine Wood then came in and did a great job. As he always does. Polite, tentative and knowledgeable. He always comes though. Great to have my dryer back.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“My husband and I have been living at Sunset and Vine since the very beginning of 2020 and are so happy we moved in when we did. The building does community events, and even made them virtual during lockdown. The grounds are beautiful. And you can't beat the location. And maintenance is always here when we need them with smiles on their faces. Joel and Jermaine are the absolute best and go above and beyond to make sure everything we need in our home is addressed and taken care of promptly. Everyone here is friendly, from the security team to the cleaning crew to the management!”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Absolutely love living at this community. The apartments are phenomenal, the accessibility of the city and surrounding businesses and entertainment is extremely easy. We have the farmers market in our back yard every Sunday, great people, amenities, and an incredible staff of security, concierge, office, and maintenance. We have had quite a few maintenance calls recently and Jermaine Woodard as well as the rest of the staff have been extraordinarily friendly, skillful, and helpful. They respond swiftly and get it done asap. I would 100% recommend anyone to take a tour and rent in this community.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“I moved to Sunset + Vine about 3 years ago. I moved to this area for the convenience and I just love this city. I feel like I am in the middle of here on Sunset and Vine. The security team are on point. I always feel safe here. The place is always kept up and they just upgraded everything to the hallways to the lobby to our new community room ready for any influencer to chime in. The maintenance is on especially on point. Jermaine is incredible, polite, professional and courteous. Even with all the newer and more expensive places opening up in the neighborhood, I am staying out for several more years to come.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“I moved in to sunset+vine in December 2020, so at this point, I've been in the complex for over a year. And after all that time, I only have wonderfully positive things to say about it! The complex itself is beautifully maintained. The courtyards have lush greenery and cozy fire places that are perfect to sit by and relax. There's a great pool area where you can almost always find a seat (though competition for spots greatly increases on hot summer days), and a gym with ample equipment, including 3 Peloton bikes. My unit itself is spacious and well updated, and any time I've had an issue maintenance has resolved it in a matter of hours. That's a perfect segue to talk about the staff at sunset+vine, all of whom are consummate professionals. I've already mentioned the maintenance staff, but it bears repeating - they're great! They're so quick to respond to issues and they resolve them promptly. I've lived in buildings where the maintenance staff comes in, diagnoses a problem, and doesn't return to fix it for weeks. That's not the case here - they handle things the right way the first time, and they do so while remaining friendly, courteous, and conscientious of your home (I've had several technicians remove their shoes to make sure my home stays clean). Special shout out to Jermaine W on the maintenance team, who has gone above and beyond for me many times. He once saw me struggling with moving a couch into my unit - he dropped what he was doing, helped me, then returned to work. He's a true stand out. Continuing with the staff, I of course have to mention the custodial team, who toil every morning to make sure the complex looks flawless. As with any apartment complex, some neighbors are messier than others. But thanks to the amazing custodial staff, I've never seen the same mess more than once. That is to say: if I walk by a mess on my way out, it's cleaned up by the time I get back. They shouldn't have to clean up after slobby neighbors, but they do, often thanklessly, and they do a damn good job. Next up - the security and concierge staff. Again, they're amazing (seeing the pattern here yet?)! Any time I've had questions or concerns, they're quick to address them and do so while maintaining a stellar attitude. They have one of the tough jobs - making sure that only people who are supposed to be in the complex are in the complex - and again, they do it flawlessly. By nature of this complex being in the heart of Hollywood, they get the occasional crazy person or drug addict trying to force their way into the complex. And again, I've never seen them waiver. They do the job so incredibly well. Last, but certainly not least - the leasing staff. As you'd expect, the leasing staff were the first group my wife and I interacted with when we first came to see the complex. They started us off on a great note being super flexible and accommodating with our tour of the facility (this was peak Covid times, mind you). It was our interactions with them that made us certain we wanted to sign a lease at sunset+vine - if they were that good, certainly the rest of the experience would be. And of course, that's proven true. In my interactions with the leasing staff since that time, they (like the other groups I've mentioned above) have been an absolute joy to work with. It's clear they take pride in what they do and the complex is so much better to have them at the helm. All-in-all, my experience at sunset+vine has been nothing short of spectacular. If you're on the fence about signing a lease here, do it. You will not regret it.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“I'm so glad that I moved into Sunset and Vine! I was looking for a community that was both in the middle of Hollywood, and offered a clean, quiet community... and that is exactly what I found here! The amenities (pool, jacuzzi, gym, dog run) are excellent and always clean, my apartment itself is beautiful and in great condition, and most importantly to me, the staff is present, professional, and friendly! They have remembered me by name and care about the community, and the one time that I has a maintenance request, it was resolved within the day. Whenever I have a package that makes it to the front desk instead of the Amazon Hub, they are always quick to give me a call personally to inform me.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“Overall everyone is responsive to any issue that may arise. The resident events that have been held here are a nice addition. Continued improvement has taken place and the staff seems open to working with the residents to resolve any problems.”
— 1555 VINE ST · Hollywood“We moved in a few weeks ago and are really enjoying the apartment so far! We love our lofted ceilings and are enjoying all the amenities such as being able to print documents at the business center. The leasing office has a Christmas tree with dog treats under it and our pup loved it! Our dog loves living here, which surprised us because its a high rise apartment. Theres lots of other dogs and the barking lot works just fine for him. we love the location and how easy it is to walk around Hollywood. Good people working here friendly and helpful.”
