“It was wonderful. Top security, Great balcony view, quiet spacious rooms, availability of used furniture, very good maintenance work and responsiveness to requests, very helpful management team as well. Have had a very enjoyable stay so far with no problems.”

“It's a decent apartment. The location is really what makes this apartment excellent since a car is not necessary for many things. A grocery store is a near 10 min walk with many restaurants also nearby of different cultures. I really enjoyed this place for what it was.”

The jacuzzi looks like it is in shambles, but maybe thats temporary. Overall very impressed, mostly due to the great service provided in the leasing agent.”

“Clean, secure and well managed apartment complex. Friendly office and maintenance staff. Walking distance to grocery stores Sprouts, Bristol Farms and Whole Foods, as well as Jordan Market (Persian food) and a soon to be opened 99 Ranch (Chinese food). CVS 1 block away and Fedex Kinkos 3 blocks away.”

“The room is beautiful and clean, the location is convenient and everyone is warm-hearted. Although I am a foreigner, there is nothing hard to understand since Oscar and Gisela are helpful. I would like to recommend this apartment to my friends.”

“This is a great community! We have access to a rooftop and a gym. The online platform to pay rent is really easy to use. Overall my roommates and I have a great experience so far and the staff is really helpful!”

“The Plaza is close to restaurants, super markets, the park and public transportation. Management is accessible in person, phone or email. Ruben takes care of work orders right away. The building is also kept clean. Nice place to live!”

“This is the quietest community that I have ever lived in. Coming from a single family house in the burbs I am not sure what I was expecting but it is pleasantly quiet. I live on the 4th floor so I obviously don't have anyone above me but I can't hear any of my neighbors. Seems like a solid building. Gisela, the property manager, is excellent! She has been nothing but helpful throughout the whole process. When I brought up a maintenance issue, it was taken care of right away. The property is clean and well maintained as well.”

“It's been pretty good, I just have some issues with the timing on a few requests that I've put in. also, if one person is out of the office, there is no backup person. It has created a problem when I have requested something. Also, the community should maintain the gym because I was told something would be ready in March and still haven't happened.”

“I've moved in for about 3 months now and have ran into a couple of problems with lighting and appliances, but all I needed to do was contact the front desk via email or just send a work order and they were fixed thoroughly and promptly (some were fixed same day, some were fixed next business day's morning). After the completion of fixing, the manager contacted me each and every time to follow up, ensuring that everything was working properly afterwards as well. I am so far extremely satisfied with this apartment and the manager and how well they respond to requests. Very convenient as a UCLA student because there is a bruinbus stop around 3-5 minutes walk away.”

“So far it has been good. The sink is clogged though but everything has been really nice. I appreciate how clean the apartment was when I arrived. I would consider living here again next year if rent is reasonable”

“there have been many issues with the apartment when I have moved in. I didn't have warm water for almost a week after I asked the front desk to fix it. The apartment received a sloppy paint job before I moved in, there is paint on the floor and cabinets. the baseboards were very dusty, showing it was not painted properly. Multiple scratches on the floor and cabinets. Lots of water damage under the sinks and my roomates' toilet leaked and was not fixed after asking the front desk to do so.”

“great?it is so quick! The first day night, I submit the request and the second day morning, the staff came and repaired. They all work on weekends, that's so cool! Do not wait to have a request if there is something wrong. They are efficient and professional!”

“It's been good, I just feel like lately there has been a lot of maintenance issues that need to be fixed, not just in my apartment but also in the apartments of friends I have who also live in the building. Other than that, my experience is great.”

“Everything else is great, except the bathroom can get very moisture after showers. The package service, gym, laundry room, relationship with the managers are the most satisfying characteristics I have. I would highly recommend the community to friends.”

“Safe, quiet, very clean, staff is awesome. Any issues identified are taken care of immediately. I would highly recommend to anyone that they check out The Plaza. I searched for months until they had an availability. The spaciousness and cleanliness of the apartment set it apart from the others.”

“The Plaza looks like a great place to live. Oh, but it's not. When you're looking around at apartments, they'll offer you a pretty substantial discount if you sign up quickly, but only so you don't look around too closely. Right from the start, they lost our first rent check and refused to believe that they had received it despite delivery confirmation from the US Postal Service (who they claimed they couldn't trust...). Predictably, it was found crammed somewhere ridiculous in their mess of an office a few weeks later after we'd already dished out a second check. Everything was fine for a month or so until there was a mysterious electrical fire on the roof which caused our apartment (on the first floor by the way) to flood with water. Your guess is as good as ours. We had to fight the management to even pay a portion of the hotel fees for when the apartment was completely unlivable due to the flood and when we asked for help, we were told that they didn't have time for this. As for actually fixing our apartment, they used one fan that they moved around maybe twice over the course of a weekend to dry the carpet and then refused to do a mold or mildew test, saying that they had 'looked at it and it was fine'. After a long and bitter struggle, the LA housing department eventually got involved and forced them to do a mold test. As you might expect, it was in great quantities everywhere since this flooding issue had happened many many times before. Tired of us, they moved us to a different apartment in the same building while they were forced to fix up the last one. Since moving into the new one, we've had two leaky sinks, a broken fridge that they told us they'd replace and have yet to do so and a completely broken cable port that, when asked about, is explained by a ludicrous lie about the box dying the day we moved. On top of that, the manager has decided to hold a grudge against us that never fails to show itself. We're consistently polite and rational when dealing with her, even during the worst of times, but she avoids us like we have swine flu and, when she fails to avoid us, treats us like we are expendable renters that she can't stand the sight of. She is, in short, a ----- and a terrible person to deal with. This place will give you nothing but headaches. Steer clear. You have been warned like we were unfortunately not...”

“The Plaza basically have the attitude that, since they're near UCLA, they can treat tenants terribly and provide poor facilities; this place was like a revolving door. I do not want to mislead anyone, and hence I cannot provide any positive advice about this place. The manager is a COW; an absolutely horrible, nasty piece of work. I don't say this about many people, but she really doesn't care. Don't expect any help from her: she's incompetent, stupid, and probably a puppet of the parent corporation. We were there during the worst construction imaginable (they replaced all of the ceiling sprinklers and pipes), with NO reasonable notice they were beginning such construction, and 1/2 the tenants emptied from the place, as they expected us to pay FULL rent for living in a warzone. There was open ceilings for over 2 months, materials left in the hallways, loud banging and noises constantly, etc. etc. Furthermore, the apartment had an infestation of fruit flies - we assumed it was from the garbage disposal, and although many valid attempts were made to get rid of it, it was impossible. The parking was often obscured and people take your spots; the hot water constantly had problems and was turned off entirely; the fire alarm went off x3 in the middle of the night (we even had fire trucks come); the noise generally was terrible, with several groups of lads living together and making a racket (with the manager just ignoring all requests for her to deal with it) and having parties until 2 a.m. on weekdays; the walls are paper-thin, and you can hear your neighbors; and the list goes on. One huge point: BEWARE - they try to RIP you OFF with your bond. They will never return it. They've been sued for this before, but they continue to attempt to withhold your bond for any reason they can find. It does not matter how clean you are - they will find a reason to repaint your entire apartment just to keep your bond. We sued them for this, and won. Do NOT let them do this to you. There are so many great apartment complexes in Westwood - don't waste your time here.”

“I live in this apartment for 1 year. Marchin was a terrible manager. He did not anything. Although leasing has made better recently,,,,,,,,I like them,,,,,,,, I would like to move out ASAP. It is a cheaply-builted so that you can hear inside and outside sounds easily. Students are very noisy every 12-2:30am. The street in the front of the apartment is like free midnight-parking for bars. The bathroom are next to the bed room, nobody sleeps when the people upstairs uses a bathroom. Elevators does not work sometime. Hot water often does not run, especially morning. I really recommend you another apartment. I really regret renting this room.”
