“Whenever I need work to be completed, I wait for weeks and weeks. No one follows up and I have to call repeatedly. This is very disappointing for a complex with such high rent. The front office has not been helpful.”

“For the past three years, this complex has become a disaster ... in terms of health, safety, inconvenience, and mismanagement. The stench of dog urine defines Buildings 219 and 221. Ongoing construction for months subject tenants in Buildings 219 and 221 to inconvenience, noise, and health and safety challenges. No reduction in rent from giant E&S Ring. Deaf ears. A nightmare!”

“Sunset Barrington Gardens is a very special place. This well-cared for, low-rise apartment complex includes beautiful, Zen-inspired landscaping with lush trees and a stream winding through the property. The management team and staff are attentive, thoughtful, and work hard to make the place feel like a welcoming home within a safe community. The surrounding Barrington Court has everything one might want within a few hundred yards - a post office, pharmacy, retail shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. I have lived here for more than five years (as have many of my fellow residents) and absolutely love the place. FIVE STARS, ALL AROUND!”

“Gated community with beautiful kept grounds and wonderful staff. Brentwood Village is a great community to be living in with everything in walking distance so need to move your car on the weekends! Great place to live”

“Sunset Barrington Gardens is a wonderful community. The management and maintenance staff are attentive and helpful. It is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The location is perfect with a good mix of shops, cafes and services within a short walk. It is welcoming and very nice to come home to.”

“It's clean, quite and the Management Staff is quick to respond to any issues. A very peaceful environment. and a great location, walking distance to Barrington Village, near the Dog Park. Quick to get on 405. Safe place.”

“Generally favorable. The way the management handles parking is an F rating or lower if possible. A lot of noise during the day from leaf blowers and roof and other repairs. Requests to ensure that outsider maintenance providers do not park in assigned tenant spaces is consistently ignored.”

“Great experiences and feel like I'm st home. The staff is so helpful, friendly, professional and skilled. The premises are clean and well maintained. It is quiet and lovely. I absolutely love being home.”

“The grounds are very well-kept, Maintenance is great. It's a little noisy and the parking spaces are sometimes hard to back out of. The office staff is wonderful. Laundry machines take more money than they should (dryer not drying the first time.”

“Great staff and perfect location for my needs. Facilities are nice and serve my needs also. The people here are great and very dog friendly. This was important when choosing an aparment when moving here to the LA area.”

“I just moved in and am very satisfied with my experience so far. The renovated apartment looks as good as new with brand new appliances/countertops/floors/AC unit/etc. The landscaping and community grounds are beautiful, with a heated pool, fitness rooms, and lots of trees and plants everywhere. It feels like an oasis in the middle of the normal grittiness of Los Angeles. The office staff is very nice and helpful.”

“Staff is very knowledgeable, very friendly and understanding. Given how many tenants there are in this complex, I'm amazed at the office staff's patience and promptness whenever I've had a problem. Kassie, Ryan, and Kasha are extremely prompt and thorough in following through with any issues I've had.”

“Community has a pleasant setting with trees, plants and swimming pool. Community is in a desirable location on the western side of Los Angeles. It is convenient for UCLA, Century City and Santa Monica. .”

“After searching 3-4 weeks for a short term rental I finally came upon the Sunset Barrington Gardens and was pleasantly surprised how welcoming the place is even for a short term renter. The complex is charming and very well maintained. The unit I rented was freshly renovated and the staff was very helpful in getting me settled. However, parking is a bit of a challenge with very tight spaces but again the staff will assist as much as possible. I highly recommend the place.”

“Real sense of a community and you'd never think it's LA once inside sitting by the zen foutains. The longer you live here the more neighbors you get to know! The awesome parties management has each year help bring people together. Grounds are clean, work orders get done fast and the site team is to thank. For as many years as we've lived here, they've always worked very hard to make this place our sweet home. Thanks!”

“The community is gorgeous and the apartments are extremely well maintained. The entire property feels like you are in another city and is very tranquil. Moving into Sunset Barrington Gardens was extremely smooth, even though my family was moving across country. Kasha and Majorie are so helpful! Great place to live!”

“Generally my experience at SBG has been great. Service requests are responded to immediately and it's a very clean and quite community. Management is great and the maintenance team does a stellar job. Everyone super friendly and accommodating. My only continual complaint has been surrounding the fitness center, which was sold to us as a high end working facility with DirectTV. Almost since the first week we moved in the machines have been broken. The TVs have not worked for months and we have requested repair many times. Additionally, the only option for internet is Bel Air and the only option for cable is DirectTV, completely exclusively of each other. So there is no cost savings at all. Basic internet is pretty poor but still $40 per month. And the most basic DirectTV package is $60 plus. The building definitely needs a better, all inclusive, provider option. One final thing to note: there are a lot of fees outside of the rent that aren't realized until first round of bills: besides the parking fee, there's a water fee, trash fee, sewer fee, utility billing fee.. which add another $80-100 per month. Water/Power is a separate payment as well as electricity, totaling another $70 + per month. Overall, however, I am very happy with the community in the lovely Brentwood neighborhood. Just beware of all of the utility costs before thinking you're getting a great deal.”

“Professional and friendly office staff, very responsive in case of a problem. Cheap, quick and easy to move in. Very well maintained environment. Social community gatherings organized by the office during the major Holidays. Would not recommend to take a unit by the pool because it becomes very noisy on the hot days.”

“Moving when the lease is up. Community not what we anticipated. Overpriced for what the property offers. Poor internet and cable options. Property lacks proper maintanence. Walkways flood because of water overflow from clogged rain gutters. Parking is bad.”

“As I have mentioned to Manager Kasha many times over the years, I continue to be blown away by the way your entire team handles their respective jobs in a professional, efficient and friendly with a smile! I have been in the customer service business for over 40 years and have learned to recognize when people go above and beyond....It all trickles down from top management to the entry level positions. You are among the best of the best!!! I'm not usually someone to advertise my opinion online, just want to make supervisors of this community aware of this feedback from a happy and appreciative resident!”
