“It's been a constant battle with neighbor noise here. Between heavy footsteps that you can hear through the floor and loud music from neighbors, it's a struggle trying to get any peace and quiet here. Young families and college kids live here. You hear doors banging at 1am through the hallways.”

Hated this place and eventually moved out because of all the stupid rules they have in place. Such as moving only during weekdays, furniture delivery only till 5 pm weekdays. We bought a refrigerator and it came at 4:30 and they didn't let the truck deliver it. Had to reschedule. Also, bought a table from ikea and tried to bring the big boxes ourselves and they won't let you do that after 5. We got really mad and just returned it. Same as with a 60" tv from bestbuy. Had to wait to get "permission" from management to bring it from the car to the unit. It's ridiculous. Also, We all know Guest parking is a plus but the process to get the parking pass its a joke. I would never buy a unit here.”

I used walk my dog every night and walk to Japanese Village Plaza or starbucks. Just don't go walk around to the south side of Alameda past E 3rd St. as it gets kind of shady at night. The amenities are nice, except the computer room never has any paper in the printer, but I guess its understandable. Loved using the gym because no one else seemed to ever use it. The pool/jacuzzi area is also nice and clean, I do wish they would keep it open til late, because it would be nice to be able to use the jacuzzi at night. My unit was facing the E 2nd St. It wasn't too noisy, but you do hear some traffic noise throughout the day. The only problem we had was parking, as we only had 1 assigned parking spot, and had to rent an extra parking spot from one of the neighbors for $100/month. There is good amount of guest parking, but it's almost always full. And it's hard to find street parking, but we used to park in office depot parking lot with no problem before we rented an extra parking spot with no problem lol. Neighbors are generally all very nice too, but there are some Asians that are very rude, and inconsiderate of other people! We never had any roaches or bug problems in our unit, but there are a lot of HUGE cockroaches in the courtyard and in the street. And one time I was in the mail room and a giant roach crawled on my foot when I was wearing a flipflop, and I was freaking out and screamed like there was no tomorrow. And the security guard came running, asking me what was wrong lol. ew it was so gross! But the next day they sprayed the whole premises with pesticide. All in all, it is a nice place to live and call home!”
“The management is really useless here, their working hours are inconvenient if you have a job, they are very un-cooperative and sometimes i'm not sure if they know they are dealing with actual people or realize that a big part of their job is providing a SERVICE. I didn't have to deal with them a whole lot over the time i was here, but whenever I did it was just a mind-numbing experience because they seem to have absolutely no common sense and most of the time just blink and stare until you leave (after you realize that you are wasting your time). Those experiences alone made me really not like this place even if the amenities are okay, even though the gym got worse with time(i don't think the condo board exercises much, so they must not care for maintaining the standards in that room) and there is never paper in the computer room and often not even ink even though those are supposed to be provided. Apart from the management, people in the building often let their pets do their business in the common circulation areas and don't come back to clean up (there is repeatedly someone letting their dog pee in the stairwell, which is NOT ventilated and it's really gross and smells awful for days after...however the management never even put up a sign, though they put hundreds of useless signs everywhere else...they must never use stairs in their building (in fact, i don't think they ever leave their office area) Very tacky looking building complex, but that's a matter of taste i guess... Would never come back here again, i will look for a place that is better run by understanding and helpful staff (the security has so much attitude sometimes, i feel like i'm an intruder!) and the kind of management that actually values their work and how they are seen by the tenants (and yes, i mean those who rent, i think they don't like renters here...) save yourself some trouble, don't rent here... maybe if you buy a condo here and actually live in it they will be nicer? maybe? i dont know... this place left a bad”

The security people seemingly have no interaction whatsoever with administrators, and have exactly 0 authority to do anything that they are not explicitly instructed to do. All in all I think a team of monkeys could run the place better. Examples of retardation abound. The movie screening room has a light RIGHT IN FRONT of the screen that literally cannot be turned off. Further, you cannot reserve the movie screening room without going online, and it must be done more than 24 hours in advance, no matter what (even if nobody is using it or is scheduled to use it!) Other than that though, the place is great!”

We had a guest over who was staying on our couch in the living room. One night we accidentally left the door unlocked. Our guest was awakened at 4am because the kitchen lights were turned on, when she looked up she saw a korean guy in the kitchen, she thought it was a friend of one the roommates here so she went back to put her head down to sleep. While laying there she couldn't hear anyone else up besides the korean guy walking around in flip flops in the kitchen so she looked up again and asked him who he was waiting for, the korean guy pointed to one of the rooms and as our guest was about to get up, he told her to "calm down, calm down" and calmly walked towards the front door. She then proceeded to the room he pointed to and opend the door to find the roommate still asleep in the dark, she ran to the front door and looked outside and he was gone. We called the security and he was no help at all! He did not know what to do and had to call his supervisor. He didn't bring anything up to write up the report and wanted us to provide something in writing for him. He did not offer to screen the area or provide any advice. Initially we didn't notice anything missing so we didn't know what the motive was for this guy to come into our apt. Did he plan the intrusion?? Was he some kind of serial killer or rapist?? A few days later we did notice that our money order that was left on the kitchen counter was gone. For the price you pay, you would expect it to be safe and secure! Be aware of your surroundings and just because you have asian neighbors, don't let that fool you because they are just as crazy as anyone else. We do think he was a resident too...”
