“A horrible pest problem that comes from multiple families that live in single studio apartments, which is far from legal. Management does not respond to maintenance requests and will make it seem like damages to the infrastructure are your problem to deal with. Upon moving in, there were damages in the bathroom and kitchen that the management tried to overlook. I opened my windows and the hinges broke on the first day. Some of the lighting fixtures have had electrical issues for over a year and do not work. The USPS lock box has been broken for over a year, so you will be forced to get your mail yourself from a USC post office if the manager is not around or goes on vacation (sometimes for over a week). Neighborhood is filled with trash, feces (from both animals and people) and homeless that will follow you into the complex and threaten units with weapons, and even rob the elderly that live on the first floor. No covid restrictions. Multiple people will try to pack into an elevator that's 6x6 feet and built in 1920. Has fires and electrical issues, management will shut off the power for days over the summer, and if you complain management will say "the building is just old," and will not reply to inquiries about safety hazards and regulations. The amenities here are usually unplugged, so washing your laundry will just take your quarters. Many of the amenities including vending machines have been gutted, leaving the entrance of the building unattended and unfurnished. Cockroaches crawl everywhere and the lobby of the building, including the entrance to the elevator, is covered in squished roaches on the walls. Constant water and ventilation problems, leaky roofs and water pipes burst and no ventilation in bathrooms which creates an awful mold smell. The sign on the front says "no solicitation" but people knock at my door at all hours to sell things, and unknown companies and people set up booths in the lobby to haggle you on the way to your apartment building. They say there is "street parking" but with 94 units in this building alone (with, again, multiple families living in many studio apartments) good luck, because sometimes (most weekends) you will be forced to ask people at the Jack in the Box if you can park there without being towed. Building requires you to have renter's insurance for a reason, it's a horrible liability.”
