“I've lived in this complex for roughly a year. This apartment complex seems to be inhabited by people on pension, disability, unemployment, or are living on student loans. On our floor alone, we have a serious infestation (of roaches, fleas, and mice) stemming from a man down the hall who keeps an unknown amount of felines in his room and reeks of their bodily functions. You know something is off when every single room needs to be fumigated once every 1-2 months on our floor. The safety gets good for this part of town, but, and the neighbors are quiet. The walls are such thick concrete that we rarely hear anyone below, beside, or above us. If the windows are open, you can obviously hear all of the traffic (we're surrounded on three sides - a freeway and two major thoroughfares), but with them shut, it's blissfully quiet. but, many of the apartments don't have ceiling fans and There's NO Air Conditioning in any of them, it's even stated in the contracts that you can't operate a window AC unit. The heating is a radiator in each main room and it's automated, so you have no idea when they'll be kicking on in winter. As for Laundry Facilities: It costs $1.25 to wash and another $1.25 to dry (keep a lot of quarters on hand!) downstairs in the basement.”
— 346 N VERMONT AVE · Los Feliz“Respectful tenants, beautiful vintage building built in 1920s means thick, built to last walls so you never hear your neighbors, one of the reasons I love it. The maintenance people are super helpful. Valeria the manager was amazing and made it feel like home right away. It's a well-managed building by good people.”
