Run and don’t look back. The manager is useless and does not care about her residents. Walls are thin AF and rent is ridiculous for how old the property is. I barely slept when I lived here. If there’s an emergency good luck. No response from the manager. Elevator is constantly broken for weeks on end. If you like cockroaches, you’ll love it here. Don’t get me started on plumbing.

This apartment is huuuuge! One of the biggest 1 bedroom I've seen in Koreatown area. The entire complex is clean and well-maintained. Professional and knowledgeable manager. It's a bit over the market price but I think it's worth it.

I highly recommend this building to other prospective tenants. I've been living in here for more than 10 years now and I have nothing but compliments to say... The common areas area clean, the neighbors are quiet and respectful and maintenance is fast and great.

I lived here for a year due to leasing contract. I really don't recommend this apartment. this is not a joke. First, there are infested with cockroaches. even if they do pest control(I don't know that they are really doing pest control well), there are so many cockroaches. Second, manager. I was ok with her at other times because I only called and asked her when I had problems such as many cockroaches, sink leaking. however, when I complained one thing, she hung up on me in the middle of a conversation. I called many times after the conversation. she didn't answer. Even if I sent emails, she didn't reply to me. Last, Apartment. I think this building needs fully renovation or maintenance work. On the surface, that looks like good building. but, there are many problems.

My husband and I moved into The Occidental just about 3 weeks ago. We were excited because the pictures the leasing people had sent us looked great, we were coming from Florida so we felt lucky that we had found a decent place. That was sadly not the case at all. When we arrived the first day the front door had been forced opened and the knob/lock no longer worked. As we continued to explore our new home we discovered that the knobs in the bathroom were falling off, a sliding door in the shower was missing the wheels and the bathtub had been spray painted to make it look nice and white. The refrigerator was and is still missing a handle, that apparently someone broke and a slide in the shades is missing leaving enough space for the front neighbors to see us. We immediately let management know and they sent Thom (whom we had met earlier) to check out the situation. I went ahead and made a list of the problems like he requested and he promised someone would be over to fix everything. Thankfully the locksmith did come, but the poor man is so old it took him a very long time to do anything to help. We were left 4 days with a half working front door. He returned on Tuesday of the following week and with my husbands help they installed a new lock which is mediocre to say the least. On the inside it works but on the outside the knob spins (we got locked out because of this problem.) Another handyman showed up and "fixed" the knobs in the bathroom and then he left. Anyways 2 new issues have appeared, a nasty soft sinking spot in the tub which is getting worse by the day and a the only drawer in the bathroom that worked fell apart. If you look at the William Holdings website you will see it says that the apartments have newly remodeled bathrooms and kitchens, that is a huge lie. The floor is the only thing that looks remodeled in the apartment and it wasn't even installed correctly. Do yourself a favor don't be deceived by the fact that you get parking (which you pay extra for) or the fact that the building will eventually have wi-fi. This building is a dump, our floor smells like garbage a lot of the times and someone smokes near the parking entrance in the back making it hard to breath. The so called "manager" takes forever to answer his door and he never knows how to help when you have a problem, honestly he looks like he is impaired. The top management and leasing agents seem nice but all they care about is taking your money and getting you in. We call and they promise to take care of the problems but they haven't yet. Stay away from this place!

Iam still in this apartment and all I can say is the manager is unreachable. Also, there are so many cockroaches and at dark, they don't open the light right away in the parking. Not worth it at all.
