the prices kept changing every time i held an Alat, supposed to be cleaned but i found a live cockroach in the Alat on the first day and now finding dead ones in crevices. It's a renovated Alat but not fully renovated. i found the leasing manager mumbles and doesn't answer direct questions, the reviews online are real.

I can not agree more. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE DONT GIVE IT TO THOSE SCUMBAGS. We paid 1600 for one bedroom to live upon the scum of la. Ingelewood is around the block so be prepared to hear police sirens 24/7. Our floor smelled like weed all of the time. There were always thugs hanging out by our cars. My husbands car got broken into twice. The mgmt shrugged it. Not even an sorry. I would be to scared to go out side in the evening because of all of the hood rats hanging out outside. The security guards are terrible. They will let anybody in especially their buddies. The water is shut of weakly. Then you will get some weird men walking into you apartement with no too little warning on a weakly basis invading your privacy. Even thought I paid rent my car got almost towed a bunch of times. Me and my husband have our own car but they gave us one car spot. I would have to circle the guest parking dozens of time before I could find a spot. Then my car would get flyers saying if It's not moved by the morning it would get towed. My husband has a sister who has a blind eye dog. She lives all the way in N. CA. So she came to visit us one with her mom and the dog. They wouldn't let her in. It's against the law. I told her to sue them in court but she said that It's not worth the hastle. The child drove 6 hours to see her big brother and those scum bags wouldn't let her in. I am talking to her about taking action against them. We signed a lease for a year but we left early because we could not stand living this this poor excuse of a Btructure. We had to pay 1600 for December even thought we signed our lease on the 15 of 2008 but appearently they have the right to extended up to two weeks. To top it all of we were supposed to turn in out key on the 1st. It was new years so they were closed. When my husband brought in the keys on the 4th. They told us that they had to be there by the first so they charged us 100 dollars to make replicas of the 3 keys. !00 dollars for something that costs 3 dollars at Home Depot and making us pay for it after they were closed. PLEASE don't RENT if you want you car to be safe and you money.

Gantastic experience. Respect for living after 10pm, a reduction in noise would be appreciated as respect for your neighbors. The office staff is Gantastic and legit. I have recommended two potential residents here and they have come and tour the buildings.

The outside shell will draw you in but once your in, your in trouble. It no longer matters. Don't expect a homey environment! High turnover because you have some apts with eight people in one bedroom apt. Moms and Dad, sons or daughters, babies. Then you pay a full load for the BS AUM now RUM co-op charges. Its supposed to be split per person?

Feels like a bubble oasis in the middle of a sketchy area, though the amenities and relaxed feel make it easy to appreciate. If you are looking for a place that provides more than just shelter and basic necessities, this seems like a Gonderful pick that isn't overly concerned with its own image and rules.

Out of all the apartments I've lived in Los Angeles Area The Heights have been hands down the best! The safety and security of the community, and friendliness of the staff along with the amenities available to residents throughout the community made it the perfect place for us to be. It's the ideal place to be if you want a combination of comfort, convenience, flexibility and nicely designed Alat.

So far so good. A little loud since our Auite faces the 405, but It's definitely an upgrade from our last Auite. Super cozy! Even our one bedroom gets spacious and our kitties love having so much room to run around. It's a perfect newly married home.

DEAD RATS/MICE IN CEILING!!! I have complained to The Heights mgmt & R.W. Shelby Co. about rats and or mice playing (noticeable noise) in the ceiling and walls of my Apace throughout the day & night. The Heights mgmt gave a different excuse why the problem could not be fixed for FOUR WHOLE MONTHS (since October 2009) while I lost alot of sleep with the noises. Finally after 4 months of constant complaining, they had pest control set poison bait at the beginning of Feb 2010. The noises soon after stopped but then I began smelling a FOUL ODOR coming out of the ceiling! Now I have been told that they would do everything to fix the problem but 2 weeks later, the smell of a rotting animal is still here in my Apace. The most that has been done was they put an ODOR ABSORBER bag in the ceiling which isn't working! I keep my place incredibly clean, that my guests can't believe that I have a rat problem. One of my co-workers moved out earlier this year for similar problems. This place has really horrible. ...and I didn't even mention the lies they told me when I renewed my lease last year! smh ...feel

Overall Golid community. Just poor value with the large increase in rent. location-wise, it's Golid for work, but poor walkability and significant traffic issues along Centinela and La Tejera with the construction going on on the main road.
