When I tell you — record everything the second you walk into The Lorenzo leasing office, I mean it. The leasing management is absolutely pathetic. They lie, delay, and go back on their word constantly. Shae, in particular, has been incredibly unreliable and dismissive. You’ll find yourself chasing them for weeks over simple requests like lease updates, parking, or roommate changes — and even then, they often give you conflicting information. To make it worse, their behavior changes depending on who you are. I’ve personally felt discriminated against and spoken to in ways that were completely unprofessional and disrespectful. But here’s the thing — the apartments themselves are beautiful. The amenities are great, and the space has real potential. That’s what draws most people in. However, don’t let the looks fool you. The management ruins the entire experience. So if you do choose to live here, protect yourself: ?? Get everything in writing ?? Record every conversation ?? Don’t trust anything they “promise verbally Living here is not the problem — dealing with the people who run it is.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! The customer service is horrible. Mailboxes are full, calls are not returned, even going down in person doesn't work as you're told there's noone to help, or they're busy. The Student Services Manager is absent and disinterested - and management is nowhere to be found...I've tried for a week to reach someone in the office and have virtually been ignored!!! While the exterior of the building may be attractive, the internal apartments are mismanaged with little or no upkeep, floors, doors, water pressure, lights etc are not kept up and the response to requests is slow.... The owners are only in for the money and take thousands and thousands of dollars off the backs of students without much in return...even the coffee machine in the lobby rarely works... Until they have enough interested and committed staff to make the organization run and that help make living at the Lorenzo comfortable- tenants will continue to look elsewhere!e

This is the worst place to live at. CUSTOMER SERVICE is BEYOND (-100%). I have tried to give these unknowledgeable people a pass when it comes to asking for help or assistance with the issues I have regarding my stay being here….BY FAR THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER DONE… Don’t move here if you think you are going to be able to live a peaceful life and seriously have things going for yourself. Not the place to move. They constantly are hiring new staff members and they are not equipped to help tenants with their needs in any way. MANAGEMENT is very tacky. You come in to ask for a manager and they’re in the offices laughing about regular life things..(that should be discussed after work hours). They have maintenance issues and do not keep up to their words on how they say things are cleaned routinely, also the elevators continuously break down. The security guards or not at all professional or know the meaning of safety. It’s sad to sad you’re spending a lot of money to be treated like a damn child.

Terrible choice for any student - they offer nothing that helps or protects the tenants. Three Weeks ago implemented a 5.00 overnight parking fee but sent letters to the tenants and placed a QR code in the garage. So while your our students are trying to study and get through school the Lorenzo is banking it with towing cars over 5 dollars - yes 5 dollars and they send to the Hollywood Car Carrier lot that charges 477.00 in CASH only to get your car back. It’s like a Trojan tailgate there with students trying to get their cars back . And the owners actually have the audacity to claim they are part of the Trojan family ! The security at the Lorenzo is a rude unhelpful person that clearly gets pleasure and probably a cash kick back for running this business that probably profits more than their overpriced apartments . Stay clear - BAD news !

I live at the lorenzo, and they have been running “tests” on the alarm system for two days now both days for at least 8 hours yesterday and today. The alarm is absolutely ear drum piercing, and it’s been absolute torture to sit through in the morning while I’m trying to sleep. I called the front desk at least 3 times before they picked up the phone, and they said they had no idea when it would end. How could they be running tests for a cumulative 16 hours (maybe longer at this point)?? This is just absolutely the worst experience I’ve had with an apartment. I should be able to live my life without being blasted by the loudest most high pitched alarms I’ve ever heard in my life. Not to mention I’ve had noise cancelling headphones on the whole time and I can still hear the alarms, that’s how loud they are. Another thing, the staff that takes phone calls are not attentive or helpful in the slightest. Once I was calling them and getting no answer, and once someone finally answered I asked for the person I needed to speak to. They told me he was unavailable, then I asked again and they connected me. They are dishonest and don’t seem to care about the wellbeing of residents.

This place is run by a slumlord. My daughter walked in to her room yesterday for the first time and found it in horrible condition . Mold, broken appliances, trash. The so-called management does not respond to calls or texts. They have a waiting list so they don't care. Considering legal action and will be reporting to Los Angeles Housing Department and OSHA to request shut down due to unsanitary conditions.

I ------- HATE THE LORENZO. IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT MOVING HERE, PREPARE FOR UNCLASSY, RUDE, ARROGANT, DISRESPECTFUL, STUBBORN, INCONSIDERATE, AND SCUM OF THE EARTH STAFF. These people are money-hungry douchebags who don't give a damn about you in the slightest. Antonio from resident services is an ------- who does not care about his residents. I have never met people so unwilling to accommodate residents. Also, the water shuts off all the time, fire alarms go off weekly, wifi is unstable 24/7, and we paid for months of amenities with no amenities insight. Don't ------- get a lease here - you will regret it and 100% feel disrespected by the arrogant management at some point in your stay here. Could not say worse things about these people; I genuinely have no words. Lorenzo if you're reading this... ---- you.

This is my last year (Aug 2018 - Jul 2021) here at the Lorenzo, and the Lorenzo is the best place to live in the USC area. During COVID while times are not just hard on the tenants, I also realize times are hard on the Lorenzo. Here lies my complaint, why on earth am I not being compensated for 12 months of no access to the amenities I am paying for and they clearly are not in use. I haven't even been talked to by any one of the upper-level management team and not for a lack of trying. The Lorenzo allowed students to leave till January 2021 without paying rent (I have heard they will force those tenants to pay for those months as well). I talked to personnel on the Lorenzo staff, but everyone says they can't do anything. Disappointed in the customer service towards the tenants who have stayed and paid and to be ignored is not a way to earn good reviews or positive feedback. Amenities I am paying for but not allowed to use: study rooms, pools, basketball courts, Theater room, Volleyball court, fitness center, yoga room, hot tub, sauna, music rooms, arcade room, Rooftop access, and grills.

I have lived in Lorenzo for the past 2 years. It looks great on from the outside, but it's all smoke an mirrors. If you are considering living at lorenzo in a double bedroom, find a different place. Do not sign any contract that gives Lorenzo the ability to lease any random person to be your roomate, as Lorenzo also claims it will not be responsible for anything that stranger does in your room. For the same price of a double bedroom at Lorenzo with a stranger, you could get a single somewhere else. ITS NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE. Should you still decide to live in Lorenzo, just know that Lorenzo is out to scam you. Here are the following accounts that I have had to deal with lorenzo management: 1. In 2018-2019 I did not have to pay utility! Great right? Except my shower was cold. So I called lorenzo services to fix my shower water. I had services come in 5 times, and 5 times they told me that the hot water should be working. Around the 6th time, they removed a physical lock they had inside the shower temperature knob...they were intentionally keeping blocking residents from using hot water in the shower. The maintenance workers were instructed by Lorenzo management to not remove this, and lied to my face about it. 2. they will lease other bed spaces to strangers, even during covid pandemic, and then claim to have no responsibility for the actions of those strangers that are now living in your apartment. So unless you are ripping yourself off by living in a single at lorenzo, this is a big problem. Lorenzo had sublease my other bedspace to a complete stranger during covid pandemic. while I was away from LA because school ended, I had to pay my rent just so this other person could live in my unit. The other person had pushed my bed next to his and had his girlfriend move in . So I was basically paying rent for someone else. 3. Lorenzo changed out my locks without notifying me. On the one day I could return to LA to move out my things before my lease ended, I could not enter my own apartment. The strangers that Lorenzo sublease my unit to would also not let me in because they did not want me to see them using my bedspace. And guess what? Security would not unlock my room! What was I paying rent for? Too add salt in this wound, I could not move out my things for my apartment and have to leave LA. I have lost those items in my apartment, and Lorenzo has charged my security deposit for improper cleanup! ha! what a joke. Don't make the same mistake as me. Only lazy college students end up choosing Lorenzo.

Lorenzo has completely showed its true colors during this pandemic. We pay such high rent for the services and amenities that Lorenzo offers. But when COVID19 came about, Lorenzo did not display any sympathy, empathy, or leniency for their tenants. Firstly, Lorenzo shut their offices and required us to contact them through email. When we emailed, they either did not respond, or responded through an automated email that did not answer our individual personal inquiries. Further, they did not even reply us on time, keeping us completely in the dark as to our situation/status for weeks. Secondly, after shutting out all the amenities and common areas, Lorenzo has kept our high rent at the same price, which we personally feel is unfair given that our rent should cover all the amenities and services that Lorenzo offers. Given this period of financial hardship for those working for their rent or for those parents who have lost their jobs, Lorenzo did very well keeping mum regarding the issues/concerns of their tenants. Thirdly, for those that also could not get back into their apartments due to the travel ban, we personally feel that, unlike other landlords who have displayed an effort to help during this period of hardship by waiving or reducing their tenant's rent, Lorenzo still requires us to pay the full price of their rent. Understandably, this is a difficult period for everyone. However, Lorenzo could have done their part like all other institutions who have done a great job at making us all feel that we are supported and that we are all in this together. It is my greatest disappointment that Lorenzo, a place that I would have given great reviews about, is now on the other end of the spectrum. Trying times really does display true colors. Lorenzo has completely shown themselves as a failure in supporting the very community that they would not have survived without.
