LOCATION: 3520 Hughes Ave Los Angeles 90034 Manager: Fari Moshfegh assistant manager: Lulu no second name various names: Hughes Towers or Westchester apartments is the new name because that was the company we paid when we lived there. Also the sign says hughes Towers. This place is really something for dog lovers and undocumentad workers. Sad enough. This apartment complex is full of dogs, who are packed into tiny apartments. To me that is almost cruelity of animals. The landlord Fari Moshfegh does not care either about the dogs being packet in such a tiny space nor the people who lives there, which have to listen to the barkening noise day in and day out. Some of these dogs are huge, boy! You wouldn' t trust your own eyes. I wonder why don' t they let cows and horses to live there. Just being serious. There was one dog last year when I have lived there on the first floor close the laundry who is a big as a horse. Must be a mastiff not kidding! There is another monster puddle on steorids there as well. It looks like a Lama. He considerers us as trash who pay him rent that he can finance his lifestyle. His view is he doesn't live here, therefore, he does not care. First ,I' ve thought that Fari is married to Lulu his assisant manager but one of those illegal workers named Jose told me that they are not married. I was very surprised it seems like it they must be married. Termites are permenants guests in your apartment. And do not be surprised if the door of your apartments is left open. I heard from another renter on the elevator that are rumors that the workers steal your things out of the apartment. He also said to keep an eye on them because his watch was missing. He did not want to make a big deal out of it because this crook Fari and bigeyed creapy and sneaky Lulu could make them move. And like many people in this broke and trashy complex are not able to move. He just told his father who gave him the watch that he lost it. Oh I' ve forgot to tell you guys, there are always in the garage, where they have at least 3 stolen grocery carts from all the brands starting with Cvs - Ralphs - Target. And the hit is if you need of of those carts coming in from outside to take your grocery to your apartment boy you better guess what will happen. No cart in sight because Lulu has them usually hidden or Jose has them on his truck. There must be only a couple poor idiots who pay the full amount of rent. The rest is most likely on section 8. Some of these renters look very worn-out and depressed. It is a very depressing place to me. In additiion there is one lady mostly dressed in a pj never washing your dog and can imagine who that stinks. It smells like she has not washed her dog forver. It s such a cute dog, too. I could continue but I think I mentioned the most important points in my litte rent.

This place is a welfare complex after a closer look. Filled with dogs and noise of all kind. It seems some people are here all the time when you need to go to work. Even on weekends there is someone on the 3 floor always singing. It sounds like a opera lesson. Sometimes I hear females or men singing together. I am not an expert in opera but it is just awful especially when you want to relax after a hard week of work. The manager does not care but anything. Even when his undocumented workers cannot fix your stuff in the apartment. Lulu is the one of the managers there. She does not have a second name one could assume she is undocumentated here. She works with these other questionable workers who come into your apartment and leave the door open after you have arrived from work in the evening. That happened even twice. After I have moved, Fari the general manager charged me on cleaning up the place. Do not expect to get your deposit back, guys. In conclusion I 've forgot to mention that there are always problems with the pipes. Read more: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/CA-Los-Angeles-Hughes-

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! This building is terrible. The units are tiny, dark, and grossly overpriced. The building is practically on top of the 10 freeway. The neighborhood is ugly and scroungy. I made an appointment to view a 1bed loft here listed for $1,700. When I got there, they instead showed me a $2,000 2b/2b. When I pointed out that this wasn't the unit I had arranged to view, the manager told me the unit for which I had taken time out of my day and had driven out to see wasn't available and I would have to check back with them later! What a scam, what an infuriating waste of my time. Stay away from this place at all costs.

The owner is rude and the management have no idea what they're doing. They cannot follow the most simple instructions. After moving out, I was charged for damage already made to the apartment before I moved in. The hallways can be noisy because some of the neighbors are inconsiderate, and if you're sitting in your living room the noise is sure to spill in. Almost daily, there were homeless people sitting on the stoop where you exit the apartment, although, I guess this is to be expected considering that it's right across from a liquor store and a marijuana dispensary. There are apartments for much cheaper in LA, even in brentwood, so don't think that you're saving a ton by living here. Also, while the "granite" counter-tops look beautiful at first, they actually stain when they get water on them. That's right, the counter stains. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

beware of the elevator when you move in. There was 2 working elevators before we moved in. Soon after we moved in, one of the elevator broke down for months and months. There was a point where there was no working elevator in the building for a long time. this is very frustrating for me if i wanted to move things into the building. the stairs does not have easy access. I've lived there for 2 yrs and when i was about to move out, the manager kept showing my apartment to other people even with our stuff in the house. there was numerous times when i found my door unlocked when i got home because the manager forgot to lock the door after showing our apartment to other people. they should be getting our permission to show our apartmnent even though we did not want to give permission, the staff called multiple times and once showed our apartment without our permission. I was too busy then to even mention or sue the manager for showing our apartmnet without permission. we had a really bad experience and wanted to leave the apartment as soon as possible. The apartment required a month of deposit and they only returned us less than 1/2 of our monthly deposit for paint and cleanup that should be part of the wear and tear. The apartment was returned in a excellent condition, we just did not got a chance to shampoo our carpet since they kept on showing our apartment to other people. We even returned our apartment way ahead of time, but they still took our money.

I enjoyed living here. The price of rent was decent. The apartments were recently remodeled. The staff here is friendly (with the exception of the owner - who is quite rude) and management is on top of problems right away. The neighborhood is great - very quiet, friendly. Downtown Culver City is within walking distance. Moving out can cause issues, as landlords these days see it as a source of revenue to charge for what is considered normal wear and tear. I expected to be gauged a bit.

The ------ landlord steals everyone's deposit. No heater in pool or jacuzzi like promised. A lot of theft in cars. Water problems with pipes and water shut off all the time without warning. Weed shops next door. Local gangs.

Units are really nice, but definitely not worth the price in this old building. Renovations are beautiful, but building still has plumbing problems and worse, problems with termites and roaches the come out in the summer. Don't be fooled by the lofts - they're too small to actually do anything with and dont have any cable or electrical outlets to make it functional. You can pay the same price and live in a newer, nicer building that doesn't have the same structural problems.

The apartment is very nice for the price. But there have been brake ins in the parking area. The size of the units are cozy and include a nice fireplace. Pet friendly but not overwhelmed by pets. Very close to Fwy. Nice secluded pool in rear with jacuzzi. Huge game room, small workout room. Nice new remodeling: Granite couter tops and Hrdwd floors. People in the building mind there own business. Right next to KFC nice aroma on weekends :0 some of the office staff does not speak english.
