This building is absolutely disgusting!! Lets start off with i am a very clean person..like a little obsessive with cleanliness. I realized it a month after living there when my apartment was infested with mice! At one point we pulled the stove away from the wall but couldn't see the ground due to all of the mice Feces. Immediately tried breaking my lease, but they pretty much make it impossible for someone to do. So we stuck it out. We then had the tenant above us "forget his bath was running" so his, ours and the person under us had flooded apartments. They did nothing to fix it, yet the manager asked me if I could lend Some of my towels to the person upstairs. At the end of our time living there they finally came and painted over the water damaged wall. I sent my dog ( 4 pound teacup maltese) to go live with a family member because they had pest control come toss around some poison to kill the mice. There were constantly shutting of the water for "Maintenance work". And sending notices around threatening tenants to stop smoking in the apartments. I don't think it did anything because the hallways always smelt like weed and cigarets. Then we got termites and when I collected a few and went to the manager her response was " oh well they just sprayed the apartment above yours and they only come once a month" we'll isn't that nice. We share walls why would you know do all the apartments ? So I called up corporate and demanded they send some one because my carpet was constantly "moving" it took 2 weeks but someone finally came. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors fighting, talking, having sex and even using the bathroom, not to mention the so many people who sing in the shower. Then There was a bed bug infestation by this point I had made friends with a few other tenants and at least 5 different people had bedbugs. Thank god i kept my distance. These poor roommates down the hall had there carpet ripped out and all towers on western did was paint over the wood. They had only been sprayed once ( did nothing due to it being an infestation) and they were forced to sleep on the floor nails sticking out and all or they slept in their bathtub or their car. So sad. Maintenance were perverts I wouldn't allow them in my apartment unless my husband was home due to all of the sexual remarks that were made. Light house property management could care less about this building. It's just a paycheck for them. Seriously run far away from this place!!!

It's a hell hole. Some neighbors are amazing some can be real jerks. Management is ----! Gone through 3 mangers in 6 months. So if something breaks good luck getting it fixed unless you pay out of pocket. Mice roaches termites bed bugs; Disgusting. This building is nothing but a pay check to light house property management they could care less about there tenants. Majority have been living without a main light for 5 months while all fans/lights are sitting in the basement . I don't understand why the city hasn't condemned this building by now.

First let me say that I was at TOW for a few years and saw 3 building managers come through there in that time. When I moved in, there was this sweet couple taking care of the buildings and they ran things smoothly. They left and then another couple moved in. They did an okay job, but they quickly moved after a year and then the new superintendent moved in. This one was by far the worst, and for the record her name is ERIN DUKE. She never made herself seen but only by postings that she had taken over at the buildings. She lies and she is lazy and brutish if she thinks you have have gone over her head...explanation below--- Repairs took a long time to get done, the rent was WAY high for a room and a kitchen, literally a room and a kitchen and you had really loud tenants who threw weed parties on the balconies during the week and people had to work in the morning. I finally decided to move out and gave my 30 days notice. On my letter was my new address where they could send my security deposit. I made sure that apartment was spotless, but something told me make sure I took pictures of everything. So I move and I ask for a walk through with Erin. She NEVER responds and so I finally send the keys via certified mail. The keys sat at the post office for a few days before I finally tried to reach her via email. No response, so I called the home office LPM in Pacific Pallisades just give them a friendly reminder that the keys had been sent off and that she could pick them up at any time....that is where all the trouble started. All of a sudden, I start getting these snarky emails from Erin asking why I did not leave the keys in her rent drop off box? That she is the superintendent of the building, so why am I emailing the home office,,,,yah yah yah... I have always sent keys via trackable mail...so any way, she proceeds to get mad because I emailed the home office about the keys. I politely asked her to pick up the keys when she had a chance, which were at the post office, RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the apartment building . She says the postman never left a notice in her box, so I provider her with the tracking number. All she needs is the number and her ID. She basically refused and asked that I allow the package to come back to me and for me to send it regular mail so that she did not have to sign for them. REALLY!? So I go to the post office myself, pick the keys up myself and send the package, still unopened, to the home office so they could get the keys. The home office then ends up using the wrong date for my move out date, lied and said that hey were sending my full deposit back, sent the deposit to the old apartment even though I provided my new address on my vacate letter, emails and the letter that was with the keys. They put a stop payment on the check they supposedly sent and issued a new one but it was not the full amount and they charged me a cleaning fee, even though the place was spotless, and on top of that charged me almost over $400.00 for an "accelerated rent" fee for time that I was not in the apartment. Robbery and Shadiness Incarnate.... That is like paying car insurance on a car you no longer have. It has been a nightmare to move out of this place and if I knew it was going to be this hard, I would have NEVER moved there. The new building manager is incompetent, lazy and belligerent, the place is filled with roaches and weed smoke and you had to fight with people to get a parking spot on the street. The last thing I wanted to do was fight with the management to get my hard earned money back, especially when I had not done anything wrong. I have not been into any trouble in the building, and to my knowledge, never given Erin a reason to be so ------ to me. All I wanted to do was get their property back to them in a timely manner, and now all this. The home office lies and they try to flim flam you and don't want to get you straight answers when you call to inquire about something that should be their pleasure to explain.I now have to go to court to fight for erroneous charges out of spite from a friendly reminder that all stemmed from a set of keys. Unbelievable. This could have all been avoided if they were just straight with me and answered questions and were up front about things, but things done in the shade come to light , eventually. I would not recommend this place to anyone at all, not even if you are in a bind to find a place. Be patient and look for a place that is worth your money. There is so much more, but why waste my time. I think you get the point. Wish me luck in court!

I can't wait to move out of this place. For one, there is a big roach infestation in the building. I keep my apartment clean but I still have seen some in my apartment a few times. They used to spray the building every month, but now I don't think they do at all. Parking is TERRIBLE. You have to park on the street where there's hardly ever any spots. I sometimes have to park blocks away from the building. The old manager Jackie was such a sweetheart & really cared about the tenants, but since she left the building has gone to s***. On the plus side, the residents are cool, though sometimes loud. Maintenance is really nice and very fast with responding to requests. It's an old building so a lot of things break. Safe to say I will not be renewing my lease & counting down the days until I move.

If you hate roaches then I suggest you don't live here, cuz Towers on Western definitely has a roach infestation. I'm a very clean individual, but no matter how clean I keep my place, roaches inevidably show up from time to time. I have sprayed and have took all precautionary measures to prevent them, but the roaches keep showing up. The parking at the buliding is a JOKE, you car isn't protected, you have to park it exposed in the street. If you have visitors they have to pay for parking. If you have a car and can't afford to pay for parking on a daily basis, you can't even live here. Other tenants are constantly smoking in the hallways, so if you don't like second hand smoke this isn't the place for you. The washer machines mess up and stain your clothes, the dryers work good though. Tenants are very loud here, make sure you live on the top floor, cuz if not, your going to hear your above neighbor's every footstep, every arguement and screaming match, and all their drunk freinds partying on the weekends. The only good things about this place is the apartment architecture, the central location, and that the manager Jackie is a sweetheart, and far from a -----. Other than that, I CAN'T WAIT to move out....Plus there's no dishwasher, no cable lines in the building, so that means no internet wifi accesibility. I recommend this place for single people, not couples, or anybody with children!!!

Be aware of the apartments on the second floor on the left side corner in the back. Apartments 211, 212, 213 are position directly above a boxing gym. The boxing, the speed bags, the timer bell are loud enough to shake your dishes. Above all that they blare rap music, so you feel like your living above a nigh club. You can hear the exact song thats being played, and sing along its so loud. They are usually open from 3:00- 10:00, but you can count on them opening early and saying open later. So don't expect to sleep while they are open. Also, randomly open on the weekends. There have been a few problems with water, but its an older building, things happen. At least they get fixed. Management is nice and helpful. The maintenance guys are friendly. People here are really good people. Ive lived in more expensive places and I never got a more understanding manager. Im a student who needed a 9 month lease with a dog. The manager made it happen under my budget. I couldn't have asked for more.

Been living here for about a year and a half. Now we are on a month to month and will not sign a new lease. When we first got here, it was a nice place, very quiet and the rental office staff were very prompt in resolving issues. Took a day turn around to get things repaired or replaced. They left for a better position somewhere else in the city and the new staff came in and seem to be non existent. The hot water goes out a lot and when they do fix it, it scalds you half way through your shower then returns to a somewhat normal temp without notice. It takes a while to get things fixed now and there is no parking to speak of, but the landlords park behind the building in a gated parking lot that they will not give the tenants access to. Mail gets stolen on a regular basis and the mailman just leaves important packages out for people to steal them. Panhandlers somehow get into the building even though we have security doors here. They are constantly spraying here for bugs even though I have never seen any. Management does not give you a true 24 hour notice when they want to come in to "inspect" your apartment for whatever. Its a shame. This place has a lot of potential. It has nice views of the city and of hollywood, but that's about it. We will be moving somewhere else soon, and won't be renewing our lease. In the last 6 months, I have seen at least 4 tenants move out.
