Since the new owners took over sometime around 2001 the Building has improved considerably. I've lived there for several ywears two different times and enjoyed myself each time ... under two different managements. As with most apartment complexes it has its share of noice but nothing out of the ordinary. Though the landlord owns quite a bit of property in LA including a major sports team, the management is fare and considerate. I think the best part is that, as an actor, it's centraly located.

If you like old school Hollywood architecture, then this has it. The building was made in the 1920´s. It is neighboring the freeway but they do a good job at making sure the windows are thick enought to block the sound. The showers go hot and cold every couple of minutes seeing its such an old building. There is plenty of parking outside in a private parking lot specifically for the building but dont even try the underground parking. There is limited spaces and the set up is practically impossible to get a pinto let alone an SUV into a spot. Its an extra 55 dollars as well to park underground. If you get an apartment on the South side of the building you will have an amazing view of all of LA including the capital records establishment and the knickerbocker hotel. If you get an apartment on the north side of the building you will have a perfect view of the hollywood sign set in the hills. So if you dont mind some of the negatives of the building, its a great place to stay.
