After my security deposit check was two weeks late (never got delivered) I had to come all the way to Culver City to pick up the check. I was not even extended the courtesy of being let inside from the outdoor staircase during a heatwave in the middle of summer. I was offered a check for 91$ instead of 1300$ which I am owed based on the sheet you gave me. I'm guessing from the move-out inspection that I had to insist on twice - because the new manager refused to provide me with one claiming company policy that doesn't account for tenants' rights for the inspection in the State of California. After coming back to let Jeanette Conway know about the wrong amount on my check, I got a door slammed in my face again asking me to wait on the staircase. Jeanette then told me I hadn't paid rent for May, to which I showed her the attached bank receipts. Then she told me that the issue was with ownership transference, and that the accounting was out for lunch but that they would be back soon and fix everything. She said she was very sorry and never bothered to mention she was not working today. I called the office today at 10 am and the secretary/front desk person told me that apparently no supervisors or senior staff or accountants were in the office but somehow they told him that - I could get my check, now 3 weeks late, next week on Tuesday. And that Jeanette who is not working today - is working on it. Then, after I explained that Tuesday is not at all a reasonable date, considering the abundance of time there was to figure out numbers and checks, I explained that this is bordering on illegal evasion and breach of my leasing agreement (not the first breach: considering 3 lied about robberies, 1 lied about armed burglary, and a pest infestation during my tenancy). The lovely secretary/front desk man put his phone on the desk and voice acted that the line was breaking up.

This place is a pit. The only people that live here are poor college grads and potheads. Noise is continuous and management is invisible, preferring to pass the problem on to you rather than do anything about complaints. I am moving as soon as my lease is up. Do not stay here, the reviews are 100% accurate.

Bad place to live, do not stay here. There is no security at all, cars are always being broken into inside the parking structure. Management is useless and does nothing when asked. Large flats but not worth it unless you love techno all night and higher insurance rates for your vehicle.

Spacious but management is non existent when a problem occurs. I had noise from the idiot downstairs, complained, and management gave me a brochure to call LAPD??????? WTF??? So grateful my lease is ending this year, absolutely horrible if you are interested in doing any kind of studying/sleeping. Inept is too kind.

Worst apartment I've ever lived in. Cockroaches appeared as soon as I moved in. They fumigated and still had problems with bugs. Even saw grasshopper's in my apartment. Completely disgusting and almost every tenant has a dog and the managers never clean the hall carpets. They'll also charge for slightest things once you move out. They remodeled the outside of the building a few years ago just to fool people into coming in. The inside is the same as it was in the 70's. And $1500 for a one bedroom? Check Craigslist and you can find a MUCH, MUCH nicer apartment in Westwood for the same price. Avoid at all costs. They have one year minimum lease agreements for a reason. No one will want to stay here after a month at most. Oh, and the walls are paper thin. I was woken up every night by my neighbor going to the bathroom. Trust me, you'll regret moving into this bug infested roach motel. I almost forgot to mention a tenant was robbed in the elevator here in the Fall of 2009. Cars were constantly broken into as well. I can go on and on. Things are starting to come back to me. I guess I repressed these memories since it was a nightmare living there.
