I was confirmed for an apartment and then two hours later my tour was canceled due to “something urgent” as noted in the email. The i traveled from out of town to view this apartment and potentially sign a lease. The lack of customer service is bewildering and very telling to how important the clients (renters) are to the property. 0/10 would not recommend

The building is infested with bugs (cockroaches, bed bugs and small insects). There are also feral cats that live all around the bushes of the building. You will hear them fighting and meowing at each other all the time. Walls are incredibly thin, you can head neighbors multiple units away. The basement is disgusting and littered with cockroaches. The trash upkeep is nonexistent, you’re expected to get your own trash and recycle bins. Something I’ve never had to do for a building with 10+ units. There are constantly “Water Shutoffs” but the the water comes out brown when you don’t run your water for a day or two. Security is nonexistent, nonresidents wander in all the time. Street parking is nonexistent as well. Families in the neighborhood monopolize spots, expect to park a mile away. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I currently live here and am trying to move out asap. This building is charming on the outside and some of the units are pretty cute (the faux fireplace especially); but it is infested with BED BUGS which the landlord will happily lie to you about. So it goes without saying that management is terrible. We've gone through 2-3 landlords just in the few months I've been here. They shut off the water at random times ALL DAY for "maintenance" even though many of us work from home, then water comes out brown and/or cold. There is no dishwasher in our apartment, either, so we have to hand wash everything in the crappy sink; it's street parking only and there is literally NO place to park, ever, which is reason enough not to move in to this apartment. The laundry room downstairs is littered with dead cockroaches, and neighbors steal packages. I could go on and on but point is: look elsewhere. Issues with this apartment have ruined the last year in LA for me and my partner and I wish we had never signed a lease here.
